Abstract

The aim of Implementation of lesson study in community service are to improve the quality of teaching and learning using scientific approach. Data sources from 25 teachers of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (chemistry, biology, physics). The implementation is carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of the stages of plan, do, and see with the application of learning in the subjects of hydrocarbon chemistry in class XI and chemical bonds in class X. Data collection techniques used are observation with observation sheet instruments and documentation containing photos and videos. Data were analyzed descriptively. Implementation results prove how scientific learning in subjects can improve the quality of learning in chemistry subjects. In class students become more active, learning becomes more conducive, group discussion becomes more lively because all of group members prepare the discussion materials correctly. They are become more enthusiastic and active. In addition, teachers can collaborate, share knowledge and can improve teacher competency and the quality of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh model PBL (Problem Based Learning) pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri di Kota Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian quasi experimental design dan desain penelitian post-test only control group design dengan menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol masing-masing berjumlah 36 orang. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen berupa tes uraian keterampilan proses sains. Analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS versi 25 diperoleh hasil Sig. (2.Tailed) < 0,05 yaitu 0,000 sehingga menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh model PBL (Problem Based Learning) pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Keterampilan proses sains tertinggi pada kelas eksperimen adalah prediksi, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah klasifikasi.
