Abstract

The growth of Society Learning Activities Centre (PKBM) in quantity/amount, has not been balanced againts the quality improvement, especially in its services. One of factors influencing the quality of PKBM sevices is organizer resource factor. The target of this research is to lay open how far the relation of managerial ability, work motivation, and organizer perception to empowerment program with the quality of PKBM services. This research uses the quantitative approach. Problem focus analysis is conducted with the correlation descriptive analysis method, because this research is to lay open the relation of researched variables. Research population is 93 organizers of PKBM in Garut. Sampling technique used is simple random by proportional to 54 organizer people from 11 PKBM. Questionaire is used to collect the data. The conclusion of this research is there are significant relations between organizer managerial ability with the service quality, there are significant relations between motivation of work with the service quality, there are significant relations between organizer perception to empowerment program with the service quality, and there are significant relations between merger variables together with the service quality of PKBM.

Abstract

Pengembangan model ini dilator belakangi oleh adanya kesenjangan antara tujuan ideal pendidikan multikeasaraan dengan kondisi empiris di tingkat satuan PNF yang masih cenderung konvensional. Pendekatan penelitian secara kuantitatif melalui prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan dengan metode quasi experiment dan teknik rancangan one group pretest-posttest only design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, tes, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Proses pengembangan model dilakukan melalui tujuh tahapan yaitu studi pendahuluan, penyusunan konseptual model, ujicoba konseptual, ujicoba operasional, validasi model, pembakuan model, dan sosialisasi model hasil pembakuan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh tingkat kemenarikan naskah model dan panduan model sebesar 63,3% sangat menarik, keterlaksanaan model 81,7% sangat baik, dan efektivitas model diperoleh hasil dari pretest tidak signifikan perbedaannya antara kelompok kontrol dengan eksperimen dari tiga lokasi yaitu PKBM Hati Nurani (4%), PKBM Bina Remaja (2%) dan PKBM Mandiri (2%). Sedangkan hasil postest antara kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan diperoleh hasil yang signifikan dengan t-hitung di PKBM Hati Nurani (3,08), PKBM Bina Remaja (3,77) dan PKBM Mandiri (3,85). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran pendidikan multikeaksaraan berbasis proyek efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan keberaksaraan dengan ragam kemahiran lokal.

Abstract

Empowerment is related to a process of giving power or strength to someone who is considered weak which aims to create individuals who are more advanced, independent and can fulfill their life needs to become more prosperous individuals physically and mentally. This study aims to describe one of the activities contained in the Cahaya Anak Negeri Community, namely Talent Scouting as a form of empowerment for street children. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects consisted of two coaches, two Talent Scouting tutors and two street children who were involved in Talent Scouting activities. The results of the study revealed that the empowerment provided by the Cahaya Anak Negeri Community through Taleng Scouting activities brought significant changes to the lives of street children who were members.
