Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan, kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan, planning, acting, observing dan reflecting. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa hasil pra siklus mengalami peningkatan, ketuntasan belajar klasikal pun telah meningkat mulai dari pra siklus 28%, meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 55,56% dan pada siklus II adalah 91,6 %. Penerapan model pembeljaran Discovery dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMAN 4 Sidoarjo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan mulai dari pra siklus ke siklus 1 dan siklus I ke siklus II.
