Abstract

Proses seleksi mahasiswa calon peserta beasiswa berprestasi Universitas Muhammdiyah Sumatera Barat masih dilakukan secara manual. Sehingga, proses penyeleksian belum obyektif. Salah satu cara agar proses penseleksian penerimaan beasiswa mahasiswa berprestasi berjalan objektif dengan meng-Cluster mahasiswa berdasarkan nilai IP, Penghasilan orang tua dan jumlah tanggungan orang tua. Tujuan penelitian ini membantu dalam penentuan calon mahasiswa penerima beasiswa berprestasi menggunakan metode K-Means. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah data nilai mahasiswa fakultas ekonomi angkatan 2016 Prodi Manajemen semester 4 Tahun Akademik 2018/2019 yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah cluster layak sebanyak 7 orang dan cluster tidak layak sebanyak 13 orang sehingga penelitian  ini dapat dijadikan rekomendasi pemilihan penerima beasiswa untuk masa yang akan datang.Kata kunci: K-means Clustering, Beasiswa, Nilai Akademik

Abstract

Umrah travel business is a service sector that strongly depends on the trust of prospective pilgrims. Therefore, service providers need an official information medium that is transparent, easily accessible, and able to validate the company’s identity. This study aims to design and develop a web-based umrah travel website as an information medium and a supporting platform for digital trust at Harira Tour and Travel. The system development method used in this study is the prototype method, consisting of requirement gathering, design, implementation, evaluation, and testing stages. The website was developed using WordPress CMS with several main features, including homepage, company profile, umrah packages, gallery, testimonials, contact information, and WhatsApp integration. The results show that the website is able to present service information in a structured manner, provide responsive access on desktop and mobile devices, and help prospective pilgrims obtain official information more easily. Black box testing on 9 main features shows that all features function according to the functional requirements with a success rate of 100%. This website supports digital trust through company identity, transparent package information, activity documentation, testimonials, and official communication channels.

Abstract

Kost Mande merupakan salah satu usaha rumah kost yang masih mengelola data penyewa, pembayaran, dan ketersediaan kamar secara manual melalui pencatatan buku tulis maupun komunikasi lisan. Kondisi ini menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan operasional, seperti rendahnya efisiensi, rawan kesalahan pencatatan, dan sulitnya memantau status kamar secara real-time. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi berbasis web yang mampu mengintegrasikan pengelolaan data penyewa, informasi ketersediaan kamar, riwayat pembayaran, dan fitur reservasi dalam satu platform terpusat. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Prototype, yang memungkinkan interaksi langsung antara pengembang dan pengguna selama proses perancangan sehingga sistem yang dihasilkan lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan nyata. Pemodelan sistem dilakukan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML), meliputi Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, Sequence Diagram, dan Class Diagram, serta dilengkapi dengan wireframe sebagai gambaran antarmuka pengguna. Hasil rancangan menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, transparansi data, serta kemudahan akses bagi pemilik dan penyewa Kost Mande. Kata Kunci: sistem informasi, kost, berbasis web, prototype, UML, manajemen penyewa.

Abstract

Cast titanium is widely used in advanced engineering applications due to its high strength-to-weight ratio and good corrosion resistance. However, its mechanical properties are highly sensitive to variations in the alloy's chemical composition, making conventional testing less efficient in terms of time and cost. This study aims to predict the mechanical properties of cast titanium, namely yield strength and tensile strength, based on the alloy's chemical composition using a machine learning approach. The dataset was obtained from the Materials Algorithms Project (MAP) with 100 cast titanium specimens developed through small and controlled variations in chemical composition to represent realistic manufacturing conditions. Modeling was performed using Decision Tree and Random Forest algorithms with data splitting schemes of 60:40, 70:30, and 80:20 and k-fold cross validation. Model performance evaluation was performed using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and coefficient of determination (R²) metrics. The results of the Pearson correlation analysis showed that Al, V, and Fe-X elements have a strong positive correlation with mechanical properties, while Ti and O show a significant negative correlation, which is in line with the theory of titanium alloy metallurgy. The modeling results show that the Random Forest algorithm provides the best performance with lower prediction errors and better stability compared to Decision Tree. This study proves that the machine learning approach, especially the Random Forest algorithm, is effective in predicting the mechanical properties of cast titanium based on chemical composition, with the best performance shown by the RMSE value of 70.95 and MAE of 47.95, thus potentially supporting the design and optimization of cast titanium alloys based on data.

Abstract

The use of Rotary Actuators in Industrial Automation systems requires adequate mechanical protection to ensure product quality, system reliability, as well as component durability and safe operation. However, many of the existing machine designs and assembly processes do not fully take into account structural strength, precision quality, ease of adjustment, and maintenance efficiency. This study aims to develop and design the assembly process of high-quality cartridge covers along with their installation system for rotary robotic actuators, taking into account aspects of quality, safety, functionality, and practical implementation. The research methodology includes a literature review, cause analysis, testing, and evaluation. Testing was conducted based on defect rate and the accuracy and precision of the system. The evaluation results showed a significant performance improvement after replacing the pneumatic actuator systems with electric actuators and making mechanical design improvements. Repeatability increased by about 87.6%, the defect rate measured by DPPM decreased by about 92%, and the safety factor reached 2.4, indicating a strong mechanical safety margin. In addition, the operation cycle time remains stable, supporting production needs without compromising reliability. The decrease in DPPM itself is a manufacturing quality metric that measures the number of defective units per one million productions, commonly used to assess the quality and reliability of the production line. These findings confirm that the cartridge cover assembly and installation design developed provides better mechanical protection, facilitates installation, and reduces product defects. Thus, the rotary electric actuator is superior in reducing DPPM and the level of precision.
