Abstract

Pumpkin is a horticultural product that contains many components of nutrients. Making pumpkin flour is expected to extend the shelf life and can be widely used in food product applications. This study aims to make flour from three varieties of pumpkin (Pumpkin, Kabocha and Butternut) and than knowing the proximate composition of each pumpkin flour. The methode used in making flour was started with soaking pumpkin in sodium metabisulfite and drying using Tray Dryer. The results showed that the proximate composition of Pumpkin, Kabocha and Butternut sequentiall had water content value 14.18%; 11.02% and 13.28%, ash content 8.05%; 10.0% and 8.88%, fat content 4.51%; 1.58% and 1.55%, protein content 11.56%; 14.74% and 7.32%, carbohydrate 61.71%; 62.62% and 68.97% and energy value 333.64 kal; 323.61 kal and 319.12 kal. Keywords: Pumpkin, pumpkin flour, proximate

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents with mental health criteria can form a positive self-identity. One of the developments of self-identity can be influenced by parenting factors. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between democratic, authoritarian, and permissive parenting on the formation of adolescent self-identity in Karangploso District, Malang Regency. Methods: The research design was a cross-sectional study; data were collected using the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) and the Adolescent Self-Identity Scale. The sample in this study was 80 respondents; the sample selection criteria used a purposive sampling technique and then statistically tested using Spearman rank. This research has obtained ethical approval with the number No.E.5.a/261/KEPK-UMM/XII/2021. Results: The crosstab analysis showed that the most frequently used form of parenting was democratic, with the formation of adolescent self-identity at a moderate level (53.6%). Meanwhile, the bivariate analysis results with Spearman rank showed that the authoritarian, democratic, and permissive parenting styles all had a relationship with adolescent self-identity with a P value of <0.05. Conclusions: The majority of parents apply democratic parenting to form adolescent self-identity; this is because, at this age, adolescents enter a phase of self-discovery with the characteristics of having the ability to think conceptually and want to be appreciated so that the application of this democratic parenting pattern can accommodate the formation of self-identity towards moderate and high.

Abstract

The complexity of managing tourist attractions becomes problematic when the tourist destination is also a conservation area. Conservation areas are currently often important locations for tourism activities. In conditions like this, urban forests are very much needed to improve the quality of the city's environment. This research is important to do because of the need for proper management efforts. Then, an in-depth evaluation is needed regarding effective and sustainable strategies in the De Djawatan city forest. In addition, by understanding external and internal factors, policies can be designed that can be implemented. This research was conducted with the aim of producing an appropriate tourism management strategy in the De Djawatan city forest as a benchmark in managing tourism as a future tourist attraction. By analyzing current management conditions, then analyzing internal and external factors that influence tourism management. After that, a tourism management strategy is developed using qualitative methods and data analysis using IFAS, EFAS, and SWOT analysis. This is inseparable from the potential of De Djawatan to become a sustainable tourist attraction in order to have a positive impact on tourism stakeholders, local governments, and the surrounding community.

Abstract

Unit testing has a significant role in software development and its impacts depend on the quality of test cases and test data used. To reduce time and effort, unit test generator systems can help automatically generate test cases and test data. However, there is currently no unit test generator for Kotlin programming language even though this language is popularly used for android application developments. In this study, we propose and develop a test generator system that utilizes genetic algorithm (GA) and ANTLR4 parser. GA is used to obtain the most optimal test cases and data for a given Kotlin code. ANTLR4 parser is used to optimize the mutation process in GA so that the mutation process is not totally random. Our model results showed that the average value of code coverage in generated unit tests against instruction coverage is 95.64%, with branch coverage of 76.19% and line coverage of 96.87%. In addition, only two out of eight generated classes produced duplicate test cases with a maximum of one duplication in each class. Therefore, it can be concluded that our optimization with GA on the unit test generator is able to produce unit tests with high code coverage and low duplication.

Abstract

Spousal loss is one of the most profound life events in old age, often accompanied by psychological challenges such as loneliness, depression, and reduced self-esteem. Self-esteem plays a vital role in older adults’ mental health, influencing their ability to adapt to aging and cope with bereavement. This study aimed to examine the relationship between spousal loss and self-esteem among older adults. A correlational quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. A total of 87 older adults were recruited using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted from March to April 2023 using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) questionnaire. Data were analysed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test. The average age of the respondents was 66 years. Most participants were female, of Javanese ethnicity, Muslim, residing in Malang City, had low educational attainment (elementary school), worked in the private sector, and were in stable health condition. The analysis revealed a significant association between spousal loss and self-esteem among older adults (p-value < 0.0001). Self-esteem in older adults is associated with the presence of a spouse. Those who still have a living spouse tend to exhibit higher levels of self-esteem. Psychosocial interventions, as well as family and community support, are essential to enhance self-acceptance and self-esteem among older adults who have experienced spousal loss.
