Abstract

Industri susu merupakan salah satu industri yang menghasilkan kadar Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) yang tinggi sehingga berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Salah satu metode pengurangan kadar COD limbah cair industri adalah pengolahan menggunakan proses biologi dengan kontak aerator selama 24 jam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbedaan waktu operasional aerator dengan lumpur aktif selama 21, 22, 23, dan 24 jam terhadap penurunan kadar COD limbah cair industri. Desain penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pre-post test without control dengan jumlah sampel sebayak 40 buah dari 5 kali pengulangan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara grab sampling di bak treated water dan bak aerasi. Pengujian statistik dengan Kruskall Wallis menunjukan tidak adanya perbedaan pada perlakuan terhadap penurunan kada COD dengan nilai p 0,0432. Hasil pengujian menunjukan rata-rata penurunan kadar COD dari perlakuan 21 jam, 22 jam, 23 jam dan 24 jam secara berturut-turut adalah 1164,43 ppm (83,46%); 801,68 ppm (91,34%); 1241,68 ppm (77,77%) dan 939,94 ppm (90,81%).

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran kadar debu di area Drawing In PT Trisula Textile Industries, Tbk pada bulan Januari 2019, kadar debu di area tersebut adalah 0,21 mg/m3. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan kadar debu total setelah menggunakan filter udara yang terbuat dari kain spundbond dengan tipe atau bentuk filter yang berbada. Ruang lingkup penelitian ini meliputi pengaruh tipe filter udara berlipat (Pleated air filter) dan tipe filter udara tidak berlipat (flat filter) terhadap penyisihan kadar debu total di udara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan melipat media filter, maka kapasitas pemuatan debu pada permukaan media filter (kain) akan lebih besar. Selain itu, waktu kontak udara dengan media filter akan cenderung lebih lama pula sehingga penyisihan kadar debu di udara lebih besar dibandingkan media filter datar. Adapun penurunan kadar debu setelah melewati filter berlipat (pleated filter) memiliki presentase rata-rata sebesar 21,21% sedangkan pada filter tidak berlipat (flat filter) memiliki presentase rata-rata sebesar 13,39%

Abstract

Canteen is a place that provides food and beverages to be consumed by many people. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 5 of 2017 concerning Environmental Health Quality Standards and Health Requirements for Vectors and Disease-Carrying Disturbing Animals and Their Control, the fly quality standard must be less than 2 fly population indexes. Based on the results of preliminary measurements of fly density in the Kitchen of PT. X obtained a fly density index of 8 tails / flygrill, this is not qualified. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in UV lamp light intensity on dead flies in UV light trap electrocutors. This type of research is experimental research with Postest With Control research design. The treatment given is 3 treatments, namely variations in the light intensity of UV lamps 100 lux, 315 lux and 450 lux. The population in this study was flies in PT.X. samples in this study were flies in the kitchen of PT. X.The results of the study after analysis using the Anova test showed that the P value was 0.000 < α (0.05) which means that there is a significant influence between variations in the intensity of UV lamp light on fly mortality. The results of measuring the calculation of flies trapped with 6 repetitions for 1 hour each variation found as many as 74 flies that died, namely 4 flies in the control, 8 flies at an intensity of 100 lux, 24 flies at an intensity of 315 lux and 38 heads at an intensity of 450 heads. Based on the measurement results on the UV light trap electrocutor tool , the most dead flies are at an intensity of 450 lux.
