Abstract

Badan Usaha Milik Masyarakat (BUMMAS) Parkit Farm is a serial village program initiated by Rumah Zakat Bekasi Branch. Badan Usaha Milik Masyarakat (BUMMAS) Parkit Farm is engaged in modern hydroponic farming, focusing on using narrow land in the house yard and attempting to improve the community’s economy. The impact of increasing population and settlements in an area is in line with food needs. On the other hand, this need is not supported by agricultural land, which is getting narrower. The hydroponic method and utilizing limited land can help the community meet their daily food needs. The research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research, the people in the Grama Puri Housing have supported educational background that supports the program. The social needs of the community also show that the community cares for each other, and the economic conditions of the people in the Grama Puri Housing are already able to match the average income of the people. There are seven stages of empowerment in implementing the Greenhouse Parkit Farm program: preparation, assessment, program planning, action plans, program implementation, evaluation and results of changes, and termination.
