Abstract

Vibriosis controlling in the cultivation of grouper fishes still counts on the use of synthetic pharmacy or antibiotics. However, prolonged used of antibiotics can resulted in bacteria becoming resistance. Antibacterial agent derived from natural resources is expected to be able to overcome the problem. Ulva reticulata extract is one of the candidates that has been tested in-vitro to possessed antimicrobial bioactive compounds. This study aimed at testing its effectivity against pathogenic bacteria infecting Humpback grouper. Final results shows that the highest concentration (2000 ppm) given to the fish soaking tanks gives the best results.

Abstract

Berdasarkan potensi perikanan, perairan laut kabupaten banggai, telah mengalami tekanan, dimana jumlah tangkapan menurun, baik ikan demersal, pelagis maupun kerangkerangan termasuk abalone. Untuk menjaga keseimbangan potensi perikanan, maka salah satu program untuk menjaga kelestarian tersebut diperlukan pengembangan budidaya abalon (Haliotis assenina). Desa Uwedikan merupakan desa yang memiliki perairan yang eksotik dan bioekonomi, namun karena faktor sumberdaya manusia yang terbatas sehingga pengelolaan sumber daya perairan perlu perhatian dan pengembangan dalam meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat. Program kemitraan, melalui pengolahan dengan sistem pengeringan, maupun pemasaran secara hidup dapat memenuhi permintaan pasar. Diharapkan desa Uwedikan menjadi sentral produksi abalon sehingga program Iptek bagi Masyarakat (IbM) melalui mitra, pengolahan abalone dengan inovasi sistem pengeringan, maupun pemasaran secara hidup dapat memenuhi permintaan pasar. Pertimbangan dalam rekayasa budidaya abalone yaitu, menipisnya stok abalon untuk indukan di alam, akibat penangkaran yang tidak selektifsehingga solusinya yaitu meningkatkan pengembangan budidaya dan ketersediaan pakan. Hasil analisis proximat abalon, menunjukkan bahwa kadar air ( 13,26%), abu (3,69 %), protein (59,70 %), lemak (3,86%) serat kasar (2,84 %) dan BETN (16,65%), sumber Lab. Nutisi BDP FPIK Institut Pertanian Bogor 2016. Luaran dalam kegiatan IbM Rekayasa Budidaya terhadap pertumbuhan abalon dapat terbitkan pada Jurnal Nasional terakreditasi atau telah terdaftar ISBN.

Abstract

This community service activity (CSP) is entitled: Community-Based Empowerment Through Fish-Based Food Production. The target of this activity is the wives of fishermen from the Poklashar Kadompe group in Tinangkung Village, Tinangkung Selatan District, BangKep Regency. The problems faced by the partner group are (1) fish are only sold raw at very cheap prices so the profits are small, (2) lack of knowledge and skills in processing fish-based food, (3) lack of equipment due to limited business capital, (4) lack of insight and skills in making attractive product packaging, (5) knowledge about product marketing which is still minimal, (6) lack of understanding about business management. The purpose of this CSP is to empower fishermen's wives to become entrepreneurs of processed products, meatballs and fish floss. The implementation method is the Pelatihan and counseling method starting from: product production and packaging techniques, promotion techniques, marketing and business management as well as group financial bookkeeping.
