Abstract

The business of developing catfish in Banjar Regency since 2000 has had both positive and negative impacts on the social, economic and environmental environment. The aim of the study is to analyze the environmental externalities of catfish culture. The method used is Oppurtunity cost. The results of the analysis of the environmental externalities of the catfish culture business in the pond produced a direct positive impact, namely the emergence of catfish hatchery business, the absorption of local labor and the indirect positive impact of mud resulting from draining the fish culture pond can be used for plants and the emergence of food stalls and stalls for daily necessities and fishing ponds. The negative impact that is immediately felt by the community is runoff of pool water into the road.

Abstract

The business of catfish farming in ponds must be supported by good environmental conditions so that the growth of catfish can be optimal, but the problem in Banjar Regency, in general, is acidic water, this can affect catfish production. The purpose of this study is to analyze the carrying capacity of the environment for catfish culture in ponds. The analysis used is water quality analysis. The results of the water quality study of Station 1 obtained an excellent value because the value of important parameters such as Ammonia and DO obtained the best value. The excellent value if the results from the field data for parameters that are very influential on catfish cultures such as DO, pH, ammonia, turbidity, and temperature have values that are in the ideal range based on PP No. 82 of 2001.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out differences in marketing margin of tilapia and the factors that influence it, to know the structure, behavior and appearance of tilapia fish market, to  know the benefits received by tilapia traders in Banjarbaru, and analyze the strategies and policies of the local government towards the system that has been running. The research was started from October 2014 until December 2014. The research location was determined intentionally (purposive), i.e. Bauntung Market Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. It was intended to know prices and marketing costs at the retailer level. The results showed that the analysis of marketing margins of the value of marketing margin was relatively constant/was not much different. Based on F test of all the factors that influenced the marketing margin, they were  free variable volume of marketing (X1), transportation costs (X4), cost of sales (X5) and profit of traders (X6), with 99% confidence level, it was found that there was no real effect on the marketing margin of tilapia. While the selling price (X2), the purchasing price (X3) at 99% confidence level really influenced the marketing margin of tilapia  in Banjarbaru. The analysis of market integration indicated that I () = 0867, which means that market integration was not perfectly integrated yet. This means that the marketing of tilapia in Bauntung Market Banjarbaru was in imperfect competitive market structure. The value of relationship of price changes amounted to 0.87 (r ≠ 1). This means that the relationship of price changes in traders level and the price change in retailers level were not strong (not perfect). The elasticity value of price transmission (ET) was low. The transmission elasticity was <1, the value was 0.763. This means that the price elasticity inelastic or in other words the market is not efficient. The benefits gained by retailers was in average Rp. 2.213,88-/kg.

Abstract

The disposal of human feces must be properly managed to prevent environmental pollution, which is usually done in latrines or toilets. The achievement of using semi-permanent healthy latrines (simple rural) in 2018 was 80% in the Edison Jaar health center work area, which covers 6 (six) villages. Data on 300 cases of diarrhea exceeded the target estimate of 279 cases of diarrhea disease while In 2019, the community had 100% access to healthy latrines, with building types meeting national health standards, only 103 (5%), 1923 others (95%) were constructed with rural simple latrines which were still at high risk of contaminating feces into groundwater flows. The number of cases of diarrheal disease increased to 328 cases. Methods:This type of research is analytical descriptive, using the Spearman correlation analysis method and  mixed methods data collection. The sample is 77 people with diarrhea who have new toilets or their location around the river. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The results showed that  the action variable has a high / strong level of closeness ( r=0.623 p=0.0000001, 95%CI). There is a close relationship actions of the community in using healthy latrines on diarrhea cases  in the Edison JaarHealth Center Work Area.Abstract: The disposal of human feces must be properly managed to prevent environmental pollution, which is usually done in latrines or toilets.
