Abstract

Changes in position is one of the nursing interventions in the management of patients with mechanical ventilation. Several studies found contradictory effects in different groups of patients. Subiyanto (2018) states that the elevation position of the head 30 degrees lateral left with a time of 5 minutes to 30 minutes has been effective to provide positive changes to the hemodynamic status. But at the Hospital the time used to position the patient is 120 minutes, so it is necessary to know the hemodynamic changes that occur during 120 minute. This studyaaimed to determineathe effective time for the left lateral position of the head elevation of 30 degrees to the hemodynamic status. The research design used was a quasi experimental pre-test-posttest design with a control group. The population was all patients who were installed mechanically at the ICU General Hospital (RSU) Tangerang District in April to July 2019. Samples of 15 respondents in the intervention group and 15 respondents in the control group used purposive sampling technique. Results Estimated significant influence between the left lateral position of the head elevation of 30 degrees to the hemodynamic status on systolic blood pressure P value 0.045, diastolic blood pressure value P 0.001, MAP value P 0.000, Heart Rate value P 0.002 and respiratory rate P value 0.09. There is no effect on SPO2 P value 0.334. No effective time was identified for the implementation of the left lateral position of the head elevation of 30 degrees to the hemodynamic status. in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, MAP, Hearth Rate and Respiratory Rate there was a significant increase in the mean value for 120 minutes, while in SPO2 there was a change in the average value of SPO2.Keywords: Left Lateral Position, 300 Head Elevation, Hemodynamic

Abstract

A fracture known as a fracture is a disorder of continuity of bone and soft tissue around it. One of the measures for the treatment of fractures is surgery called Open Reduction Internal Fixation (Orif). As a result, Orif can cause pain side effects. Various attempts were made to overcome post Orif pain one of them with degung music therapy. Degung music is one of the complementary therapies that can be used to reduce the level of pain in post Orif patients. This study aims to determine the effect of degung music therapy on reducing pain levels in post Orif patients. The study design used a quasi experiment with a non equivalent control group pre-test and post- test approach with 12 respondents in the intervention group and 12 respondents in the control group. The results show that there is an effect of degung music therapy on the level of post Orif pain in the intervention group (p = 0.003) and there is an effect of standard therapy in the control group (p = 0.003) and there is a difference in the effect of degung music therapy in the intervention group with the standard therapy in the control group ( 0.045), with the results obtained in the control group the average difference in post Orif pain levels was 0.75, while in the intervention group was 1.58. The conclusion of this study is that degung music therapy can reduce pain  levels in post Orif patients, so that degung music therapy can be used as a complementary therapy option to reduce pain levels in post Orif patients .

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-healing (healing touch) on reducing pain sensation for post-op patients at Tk II Kampar Regional Government Hospital, Bangkinang City. The method in this study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-postest design. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant effect between self healing and pain scale in post op patients with p value <0.05. In conclusion, self-healing is used as one of the non-medicated methods to reduce the pain scale in post-op patients. Keywords: Post Op Patients, Self Healing, Pain Scale
