Abstract

In Indonesia the MMR is still high, namely 305/100,000 lives birth (Ministry of Health, 2018) In 2017 out of 34 provinces in Indonesia, North Sumatra was among the 6 provinces with a high MMR (Ministry of Health, 2017). In 2017, the MMR in North Sumatara amounted to 58.18 / 100,000 lives birth while in 2018 the MMR increased by a total of 62.18 / 100,000 lives birth (North Sumatra Health Office, 2018). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of semi fowler and lying on the left position to the duration of second stage labor in Helen Tarigan midwifery clinic of Medan Selayang sub district and Niar midwifery clinic of Medan Amplas sub district in 2020. This type of research was pre-experimental with one shot case study / post-test only design. and sampling by purposive sampling, the sample is third trimester pregnant women who will give birth amounting to 22 people.  Based on the results of the independent t-test, the value of ? (0.01) <? (0.05) means that the position of semi fowler and lying on the left position of labor in maternal is proven to significantly accelerate the length of the second stage of labor. The average length of second stage of labor in the semi fowler position was 33.63 minutes and the average length of second stage of labor in lying on the left position was 26.44 minutes. Thus, the length of the second stage of labor in the lying on the left position was faster than the semi fowler position with a time difference of 7.19 minutes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the position of semi fowler labor and lying on the left position of labor is effective against the duration of the second stage of labor. Abstract

This study aimed to identify and describe the form of actantial structure and functional structure in the novel Arwāḥ Mut‘abah by Asmā’ al-Ḥuwaylī based on the perspective of a French theorist of naratology and semiotics, A. J. Greimas. This research used the descriptive-qualitative research type. The data source in this research is the novel Arwāḥ Mut‘abah by Asmā’ al-Ḥuwaylī with the addition of several references related to theory and objects. Data collection techniques used reading techniques and note-taking (writing) techniques. While the data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman technique, including data reduction, data display, and verification of data or conclusions. From this research, we found eight actantial schemes. The eight actantial schemes included five perfect schemes and three imperfect schemes. While the functional structure in the novel Arwāḥ Mut‘abah had a complete storyline, namely the initial situation, transformation, and final situation. The final situation in this study is in the form of something that is calming but at the same time tense, namely death.

Abstract

Diskriminasi merupakan salah satu problem yang paling sering dialami perempuan. Diskriminasi terhadap perempuan menempatkan perempuan pada posisi yang dirugikan dan cenderung menguntungkan laki-laki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membongkar bentuk-bentuk diskriminasi yang dialami perempuan dan citra perempuan yang dibangun dalam cerpen “Dumyatu Imroah” karya Rama Rugbi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak dan catat. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan beberapa bentuk diskriminasi terhadap perempuan yang terdapat dalam cerpen “Dumyatu Imroah” di antaranya, pernikahan anak perempuan di bawah umur, pengabaian hukum, tradisi menikahkan laki-laki yang tua dengan remaja perempuan di bawah umur (kawin paksa), kekerasan verbal, kekerasan fisik, dan tidak ada kesempatan menggapai mimpi bagi perempuan yang menikah dini. Dalam cerpen tersebut juga terdapat citra perempuan yang dibangun sebagai bentuk perlawanan perempuan terhadap diskriminasi yang diterimanya. Di antara citra perempuan yang dibangun oleh tokoh dalam cerpen tersebut yaitu, bijaksana, tangguh, kuat dan profesionalitas. Kata Kunci: Diskriminasi, Citra Perempuan, Cerpen Digital, Kritik Sastra Feminis.
