Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the rhymes contained in the lyrics of the song at a glance the work of Lily Suhairy and Hamiedhan A.C, (2) the meaning of pantun contained in the lyrics of the song at a glance the work of Lily Suhairy and Hamiedhan A.C. This research is qualitative descriptive form, this research use technique of analysis with technique of collecting data using literature research technique. The data analysis technique begins with reading all the lyrics of the song to be analyzed, then searching for the elements of pantun and the meaning of the rhyme that is in the lyrics of the song at a glance the works of Lily Suhairy and Hamiedhan A.C. Sources of data used are documents and informants. The purpose of this study is to know the elements of pantun and the meaning of pantun contained in the lyrics of the song at a glance the work of Lily Suhairy and Hamiedhan A.C. The conclusion of this research is that there are elements of pantun contained in the lyrics of the song at a glance the work of meaningful admiration of love and motivation.

Abstract

Literary work is the representative or outpouring of the heart of an author, can be poured in the form of oral and written. Poetry is the disclosure of ideas, ideas, or feelings of the heart using figurative language. Writing poetry is usually used to criticize or express an event. In poetry there is a physical structure and an inner structure. The author chose the poem by W. S Rendra entitled "Kangen" to be a research, it intends to know the physical structure of the poem. Both in terms of diction, Imaji, concrete words, figurative language, rhyme, and face. This research uses descriptive method, aims to make the description systematically, factually, and accurately about the physical structure of poetry. The physical structure of W.S Rendra's heartache is very different from the writing of poetry in general, W. S Rendra packs his poems freely with figurative words and diction choices that come out of the romantic path,

Abstract

This study is a preliminary study to see the acquisition of children’s language in terms of syntax. The subject of the study was a native child of Sundanese language from Cilesang Bandung area. The data used for the analysis of this research is authentic data that is incised through audio recording. The data can be analyzed with three main features of the syntax aspects of paragraph length, sintactic structure and the number of speeches. The minimum Length of Utterance (MLU) estimation following Brown’s Stages of Development is used to determine the stage of development of children. From the analysis conducted in this study it can be seen that Fahlevi has MLU 1,21 which means being in phase II that is at the age should be. Based on research Fahlevi has been able to speak from one words which means Fahlevi has been able to tell the full sentence in his age.

Abstract

Narrative writing instruction is an essential skill in language education; however, student often encounter various obstacle in the process. Moreover, the effectiveness of instruction is strongly influenced by teachers methods and the readiness of the learning environment. The research questions of this study include: (1) what are students needs in learning ti write; (2) what difficulties do students experience when writing; and (3) to what extent are teachers prepared to support narrative writing skills. This study aims to describe students needs, identify the challenges they face, and analyze teachers instructional practices in writing instruction. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to students and Indonesian language teachers. The instruments were administered to two groups of respondents: students who directly experienced the writing instruction process and teachers responsible for teaching the skill. The findings indicate that students needs for model texts, varied writing exercise, internet access, and contextualized learning are at a very high level (88%). Nevertheless, students still experience difficulties in constructing effective sentences, initiating writing, developing ideas, and maintaining learning focus, with the level of difficulty reaching 78%. From the teachers perspective, readiness to teach writing is categorized as high (84%), as refekvted in the use of digital media, understanding of text structure, and the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere, although students ability to produce narratives that adhere to conventions still requires improvement. Overall, this study underscores the need for more varied, targeted, and student-centered instructional strategies that are better aligned with learners needs and characteristics.
