Abstract

This research is motivated by the observations of researchers that the ability to write intrinsic elements of the saga is very low. This was allegedly due to the application of inappropriate learning methods. Then the interests and motivation of student learning are also very lacking so students cannot play an active role. The purpose of the formulation of this problem is to describe and know the planning of writing intrinsic elements of saga, the results of Cooperative Script learning on the ability to understand the intrinsic elements of class X students' stories. The research method used is quantitative experimental methods. The design of this research method is the type of design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population studied were all SMK students with a total of 60 people. While for the sample, there are 20 class X students. Data collection techniques are through research tests/questionnaires. Data processing techniques are carried out using statistics. The results of this study are that there is an increase in understanding of saga learning. Students are able to write intrinsic elements of the story well and students can feel the results of learning are very satisfying. Obtained an increase in the results of learning using the Cooperative Script method there are significant differences in values, the highest value of the initial test of 78 and the final test value of 90, it was concluded that this method is suitably applied to learning writing.

Abstract

Literary work is the representative or outpouring of the heart of an author, can be poured in the form of oral and written. Poetry is the disclosure of ideas, ideas, or feelings of the heart using figurative language. Writing poetry is usually used to criticize or express an event. In poetry there is a physical structure and an inner structure. The author chose the poem by W. S Rendra entitled "Kangen" to be a research, it intends to know the physical structure of the poem. Both in terms of diction, Imaji, concrete words, figurative language, rhyme, and face. This research uses descriptive method, aims to make the description systematically, factually, and accurately about the physical structure of poetry. The physical structure of W.S Rendra's heartache is very different from the writing of poetry in general, W. S Rendra packs his poems freely with figurative words and diction choices that come out of the romantic path,

Abstract

The making of this article aims to examine and know the values that educate after reading the novel "Habibie & Ainun" by B.J Habibie. With the formulation of the problem in it: what educational values are there in the novels "Habibie & Ainun"? The message of the value of education as an indicator of this research are moral values, religious values, nationalism values, patriotism values, and romantic values in the family. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with the technique of reading and writing important things, meaning that the researcher looks for data by reading the novel to find out the educational value contained in it. This novel by B.J Habibie is analyzed through signs in a sentence, paragraph, and quote dialog. The researcher uses the method that is easier to understand according to the conditions of the novel based on theory. The results of the study show that the novel "Habibie & Ainun" has educational values: moral, religious, tolerance, a spirit of nationalism, patriotism and true love.

Abstract

Learning innovation in today's curriculum plays a vital role for more creative learning. One of the tools of innovation is through an approach or learning strategy. One of them is the application of a scientific approach which requires students to be active, critical and communicative. Thus, how does scientific approach work in text description at SMPN 3 Maja. The goal in this research is to analyze the achievement of success in implementing learning innovation, which is with scientific approach in text description at SMPN 3 Maja. The method for knowing the success of implement this innovation is descriptive qualitative by analyzing after learning with a scientific approach in the description text. Indonesian is a study that requires student to study many texts, one of which is a description text. The application of scientific approach to Indonesian study in the description text at SMPN 3 Maja after analyzing is difficult to apply because the student’s character that still belongs to the teacher, lacking the breeding of active and critical learning making a student has a strong passive character and tend to be difficult for self-study, and for introver student makes application of scientific approach not communicative. Therefore, scientific approach can be applied if the active character of student plays a role. The importance  of applying scientific approach support effectiveness in participation of student activation.

Abstract

Character education in Indonesia is an important thing for life and even for national identity. The creation of character education is not an easy thing, it needs a long process and self-confidence in building character well. Poetry is a literary work in which there are several values of character education that can be emulated.  In Hamka's poem "Nikmat Hidup", it contains a lot of character education values that can change the reader's behavior for the better. This study aims to describe the value of character education in Buya Hamka’s “Nikmat Hidup” (Enjoyment of Life) poem. The reason the researcher chose Hamka’s “Nikmat Hidup” poem was because this poems was interesting to study, then it is related to the fact that according to the researcher it could be used as a character formation for the reader. This study was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive technique, the Miles and Huberman model, which includes three steps that must be carried out, namely: data reduction, analysis, data presentation, and making conclusions. The results obtained from this research are there five values of character education in Buya Hamka’s poem “Nikmat Hidup”, including: religious values, honesty, hard work, independence, and social care.
