Abstract

Language is one aspect of development that must be improved in early childhood. English is also commonly called the second language is part of aspects of language development can be improved through the singing method. The purpose of this study is to improve children's English vocabulary through singing methods. This research is motivated by the problems that exist in TKQ Yaa Bunayya due to obstacles in mastering and memorizing English vocabulary, as well as any errors or inaccuracies pronunciation in using English. In this research, the method used is a descriptive qualitative method that is an approach that serves to give a picture of a symptom or event of a problem that occurs, where researchers directly examine the learning process of children in improving children's English vocabulary by the singing method. Data collection in this research in using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. In research data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis techniques using data reduction, data display, and concluding. The study was conducted in 5 meetings in group A with 8 children. Through singing, methods children are not easily bored in following the stages of the learning process.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, learning was carried out online. One of the abilities of children that need to be stimulated when learning online is cognitive abilities, which can be developed through playing science. By playing science children learn to identify, classify and explore the environment to build knowledge from a high sense of curiosity so that it is useful for children's lives. The subjects of this study were children of group B TK Miftahul Iman located in Cimahi City. Collecting research data using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The method used is descriptive with qualitative data analysis. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of online learning in stimulating cognitive abilities through playing science. Based on observations it was found that the need for varied and interesting stimulation in improving cognitive abilities during online learning. With the stimulation of playing science, children can participate in learning with enthusiasm, enthusiasm and can develop their ability to think. Thus playing science can be used as a stimulation for the cognitive abilities of group B children when learning online.Pada saat pandemi covid 19 pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan cara daring. Salah satu kemampuan anak yang perlu distimulasi ketika belajar daring yaitu kemampuan kognitif, yang mana dalam pengembangannya dapat melalui bermain sains. Dengan bermain sains anak belajar mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi dan bereksplorasi terhadap lingkungan untuk membangun pengetahuan dari rasa keingin tahuan yang tinggi sehingga bermanfaat untuk kehidupan anak. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu anak kelompok B TK Miftahul Iman yang terletak di Kota Cimahi. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan analisis data kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring dalam menstimulasi kemampuan kognitif melalui bermain sains. Berdasarkan observasi diperoleh bahwa perlunya stimulasi yang bervariasi, dan menarik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif selama belajar daring. Dengan stimulasi bermain sains anakdapat mengikuti pembelajaran dengan antusias, semangat dan dapat mengembangkan kemampuannya dalam berpikir. Dengan demikian bermain sains dapat dijadikan sebagai stimulasi kemampuan kognitif anak kelompok B ketika belajar daring.
