Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that can not be cured. A balanced diet is one of way in management of Diabetes Mellitus. Constraint of Diabetes Mellitus diet handling is burnout of patients to follow dietary therapy and lack of family support, if there is no family support, Diabetes Mellitus patients will not obey implement diet, so uncontrolled Diabetes Mellitus and complications occur. The research objective to analyzes of family support improve patient compliance of Diabetes Mellitus diet. The design of the research was Cross-sectional with population Diabetes Mellitus patients in inpatient ward of Kediri Baptist Hospital who met the inclusion criteria. The sample of the research was 25 people with accidental sampling. The data of the research was analyzed using "Wilcoxon Macth Pair". The results showed that family support can improve dietary compliance  in Diabetes Mellitus patients in inpatient ward of Kediri Baptist Hospital based on significant level a≤0.05 obtained ρ=0.00 and ρ≤a. In conclusion family support can improve dietary compliance in patients with Diabetes Mellitus in inpatient ward of Kediri Baptist Hospital.

Abstract

abstract   backgorund : Dementia is an organic syndrome characterized by global gradual decline of higher mental functions without any disturbance of consciousness. Dementia is often encountered in the elderly. The perceived problem of dementia can interfere activities of daily living. Therefore our efforts as a nurse is able to provide services and care for the elderly in achieving the level of independence by providing motivation and giving activities that are carried out every day according to the ability of the elderly. Method : The design of this research was descriptive. Sampling method was total sampling. Samples were 15 respondents they were patients with dementia or care giver/family of dementia patients who took the patient to Outpatient Installation Kediri Baptist Hospital. The research data was taken by the interview. Conclusion : The result of the research indicated that activities of daily living in patients with dementia on the ability in bathing independently got 9 people (60%). The ability to dress independently got 9 people (60%). The ability go to the toilet independently got 10 people (66.7%). The ability to move independently got 11 people (73.3%). Continental fulfillment independently got 14 people (93.3%). The ability to eat independently got 14 people (93.3%). Instrumental ability got 10 people dependent (66.7%).   Keywords : activities of daily living, dementia

Abstract

  abstract   Background : For sick child who admitted at hospital, the child will experience the stress and generally parent also experience of anxiety because their child’s health condition, so that parent has not motivation in usage educative playing toys (APE= Alat Permainan Edukatif). Influence factor parent’s motivation in usage educative playing toys is age, education and knowledge. The objective of this research is to analyze the influence factor parent’s motivation in usage educative playing toys in Pediatric Ward Kediri Baptist Hospital. Method : This research was analytic descriptive. Samples were  48 respondents using purposive sampling. Independent variable was influence factor parent’s motivation and dependent variable was motivation. Then analyzed using the linear logarithm test with significant level 0,05. The value for factor of age p = 0,335, factor of education p = 0,094 and factor of knowledge p = 0,138. Conclusion : The Conclusion of this research was most dominant factor influenced the parent’s motivation in usage educative playing toys in Pediatric Ward Kediri Baptist Hospital.   Keyword : Motivation, Parent, Educative Playing Toys

Abstract

Food complement of breast milk is food that contain nutrient, giving to child in age 6–36 months to complete nutrient requirement. Giving that food is precisely influenced by mother’s behavior who have baby. The objective of the research to prove the factors that influence mother’s behavior in giving food complement breast milk to child in age 6–36 months.The design of the research was correlation. The population was all mother who have children in age 6–36 months at Posyandu Mawar I Karangrejo village. The samples were 32 respondents using random sampling. The independent variable was the factors that influence of mother’s behavior. The dependent variable was giving food complement of breast milk. The data was collected using questionnaire and interview, and then analyzed using multiple logistic regression with significance level 0,025. The result of statistical test showed mother’s knowledge p=0,020, it mean  influence mother’s behavior in giving food complement of breast milk. The conclusion of this research that the occupation factor and social economy had no influence mother’s behavior in giving food complement of breast milk, but mother’s knowledge had influence mother’s behavior in giving food complement of breast milk at Posyandu Mawar I Karangrejo village.

Abstract

Nutrition status indirectly effects the economic social factor and directly connected with hygiene sanitation and also with the level of consume and infection.  Regulation of development in health is to increasing the degree of health including circumstance of nutrition. This study analyzes the goal which is poor environmental sanitation can affect nutritional status. Design in this study is cross-sectional. The population were toddlers (aged 1-5 years) in RW VI Bangsal village. With a sample of 32 respondents using total sampling. Independent variables environmental sanitation and the dependent variable nutritional status. The data was collected using questionnaire and interview, then analyzed using the linear regression with significant level   α≤0,05 of linear regression p=0,111, where p>α which means that Ho is accepted, Ha rejected. There is no correlation between environmental sanitation and nutrition status. It can be concluded that there is no negative verification of poor environmental sanitation toward nutrition status to under five years in RW VI Bangsal village.
