Abstract

This study is aimed to determine the effect of recruitment, training and development, compensation and job satisfaction to employee performance of four star hotel’s employees in Batam. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 273 respondents who are employees of four star hotels in Batam. The questionnaires were distributed and collected back, and 261 questionnaires were filled out completely so that it can be used for regression analisys by using Partial Least Squares. From the data processing with PLS is known that there are relationships between all the variables studied. Based on this research, the results obtained indicate that the compensation variable has a significant effect on the job satisfaction variable, job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance, the performance appraisal variable has no significant effect on the job satisfaction variable, the recruitment variable has a significant effect on job satisfaction and the training variable and development has no significant effect on job satisfaction. Abstract

Tujuan penulis melakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji serta menganalisa pengaruh green human resources management terhadap kinerja lingkungan dari hotel bintang empat di Kota Batam. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan di hotel Kota Batam dengan menggunakan sampel hotel bintang empat sejumlah 586 karyawan hotel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan memiliki hasil menunjukkan bahwa semua hipotesis penelitian memiliki hasil signifikan positif. Sebanyak 8 hipotesis yaitu green competencies, green motivation, green employee involvement, green recruitment and selection, green training and development, green performance management, green reward system di mediasi oleh Green Employee Empowerment terhadap kinerja lingkungan.

Abstract

Antasari Semesta is a company engaged in expeditions that focuses on shipping goods to various destinations according to the sender's request. The company is located at the talks. Tering, Commercial Center Building, JL., Orchid Garden Complex. Based on the results of an interview with PT. Antasari Semesta, the company does not yet have SOPs to recruit the right employees. Thus, the author will design and update a new employee recruitment system that is more accurate and meets the criteria set by PT. Antasari Semesta. In carrying out this practical work, the author uses several methods, including conducting interviews, observations and documentation. The results of this recruitment and selection SOP intervention also have a positive impact on PT. Antasari Semesta shows that this recruitment and selection SOP can improve performance and develop the company through more qualified human resources.

Abstract

Apotek D'Farma is a store that provides medicines, health products, and pharmaceutical services located at Ruko Bukit Kemuning DD 2 No.7 Mangsang, Batam, Riau Islands with 11 employees. The purpose of establishing this pharmacy is to ensure that every patient can effectively, safely, comfortably, and timely access the medicines they need. Currently, Apotek has a problem with a shortage of proper employees because it will expand the doctor's office. Because collaboration between pharmacies and physician practices can yield significant benefits for patients and businesses. In addition, there are competitors from other adjacent pharmacies so that employees who have competence and expertise in the field of medicine are needed. Based on the above problems, the recruitment and selection process is very necessary, so that the pharmacy will get the expected employees in accordance with their competence

Abstract

This research aims to analyze factor that affects employee turnover on hospital in Batam. Sample is being collected from hospital in Batam by using the purposive sampling method. Public hospital is being choosed as sampling place.Questionaires distributed were 200 questionaires and 159 of them were being collected. Total data used in the analysis is 111 questionaire because 48 of the collected questionaire do not fulfill the sampling criteria. Partial Least Square ischosen as the statistical method. Independent variables in this research are compensation, job security, working condition, organizational justice, co-worker support, supervisor support, work-life balance, promotion opportunities, researchand development, and organization commitment. Employee turnover is the only dependent variable in this research. Research results show that job security, workingcondition, and work-life balance have significant influence toward employee turnover. Compensation, organizational justice, co-worker support, supervisor support, promotion opportunities, research and development, and organizationalcommitment show nosignificant influence.Keywords: Turnover, Job security, Working condition,Co-worker support, Work life balance, Promotion opportunity

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the influence factor toorganizational citizenship behavior on BPR (Bank Perkreditan Rakyat)’s employees in Batam. The samples are employees of ten biggest BPR’s number of employees in Batam. Data collected by 389 questionnaire which deployed to 10 BPR. Structural Equation Model (SEM)-PLS (Partial Least Square) has been employed to analyze the data. The results of this study showed that 7 (seven) hypothesis are accepted and2 (two) the hypothesis are rejected. Four independent variables (employee development, employee communication, rewards and recognition and leadership) have a significant positive effect on employee engagement, employee engagement asintervening variables has a significant positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior then two independent variables (employee communication and reward andrecognition) have a positive significant effect on the dependent variable organizational citizenship behavior by mediating role of employee engagement while the other two independent variables (employee development and leadership)had no significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior by mediating role of employee engagement.Keywords: Employee Development, Employee Communication, Reward and Recognition, Leadership, Employee Engagement, Organizational Citizenship Behavior, Structural Equation Model (SEM), Partial Least Square (PLS).

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of research on industrial relation is to provide a reference to Human Resource (HR) Manager to create a harmonious relationship between management and employees within organization and to describe a strategic role of HR Manager in managing employee’s activities and formulating strategic recommendation to top management. Harmonious relationship can compose a healthy, safety, and productive working environment for stakeholders. In managinghuman resource, an HR Manager is expected to acquiry competences which are related to Human Resource Management, especially competencies on attitude, skilland knowledge in getting the right man on the right place. Long term objective is to enhance the role of HR Manager by actively involved in the industrial relation for maintaining a good relationship and alleviating/ eliminating the industrial relationdisputes. In order to achieve this objective, the role of HR Manager is not only to recruit and to allocate employees but also to build and to maintain a positive communication to the entire employees through formal and informal ones inorganization. In regard with communication, the role of HR Manager may be act as facilitator or mediator, depending on situation occurred. Therefore currently an HR Manager is not only required to master Labor Law but other core competenciessuch communication and negotiation skill. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the business performance of MSMEs in Batam City, focusing on the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and technology orientation, with the role of organizational culture as a mediating factor. The research methodology involves hypothesis testing through a structural equation model, with the research respondents being managers and owners of MSMEs in Batam who have been operating for more than one year. The sample was proportionally selected using purposive sampling, with a total of 260 MSMEs from various sectors in Batam City that met the criteria for analysis. The analysis results show that seven out of eight hypotheses have significant relationships, where entrepreneurial orientation and technology orientation have a positive impact on business performance. However, the hypothesis testing the influence of market orientation on business performance did not show a significant relationship. These findings highlight that in the context of MSMEs in Batam City, entrepreneurial and technology orientation play a more crucial role in enhancing business performance compared to market orientation.
