Abstract

The decline of the Islamic religion is a new phase in the change of Human Resources. During the Jahiliyya period, the condition of society was not yet developed and was very bad, both in interactions with the Creator and in interactions with other people. Humans are not only determined by aspects of skills, abilities or physical strength, but must have standards as well as education or levels of knowledge, experience and attitudes or values. The complexity of problems in education, causing educational problems and the need to improve the quality of human resources must ensure that educational problems remain attractive to them in the hope that alternative solutions will emerge through Islamic education in improving the quality of human resources.

Abstract

Profesionalisme guru merupakan faktor kunci dalam menentukan kualitas pembelajaran dan pencapaian tujuan pendidikan, sehingga pemahaman mendalam terhadap empat aspek kompetensi guru sangat penting untuk merancang strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan yang berkelanjutan dan relevan dengan tantangan zaman. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis profesionalisme guru dalam empat aspek utama, yaitu pedagogik, profesionalisme, sosial, dan kepribadian. Metode yang digunakan yakni studi literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, dimana data diperoleh dari berbagai jurnal akademik. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setiap aspek kompetensi pada guru memiliki karakteristik yang dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas pembelajaran. Kompetensi pedagogik berkaitan dengan kemampuan guru dalam mengajar, menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran, dan mengevaluasi siswa. Kompetensi profesional mencerminkan penguasaan materi dan penerapan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Kompetensi sosial menggambarkan interaksi guru dengan siswa, orang tua, dan rekan kerja, sementara kompetensi kepribadian mencerminkan dedikasi, etika dan tanggung jawab guru dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melibatkan pengelompokkan dan analisis data dari berbagai sumber untuk memperoleh gambaran komprehensif mengenai tingkat kompetensi guru. Penelitian ini menekankan bahwa kompetensi kepribadian menjadi faktor dominan dalam keberhasilan pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kualitas pendidikan harus diimbangi dengan pengembangan profesionalisme guru melalui pelatihan dan penguatan kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, serta sosial yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of student interest in the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) course at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, which is attributed to a monotonous teaching approach with little variation. The study aims to analyze the role of teacher professionalism in enhancing students’ interest in the SKI course. The approach employed is a literature review using a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was conducted through document analysis of various relevant journals, which were then processed through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results indicate that teacher professionalism plays a crucial role in increasing students’ interest in learning. Teachers who possess high competence in implementing diverse teaching methods, utilizing attractive learning media, and creating an interactive learning environment successfully increase student engagement and enthusiasm. Thus, the higher the level of teacher professionalism, the greater the students’ interest in SKI learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teacher competence in creating relevant and contextualized Islamic Cultural History (ISCH) learning. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a library research type, namely through the study of various relevant literature sources on teacher competence and the stages of ISCH learning. The results of the study indicate that teacher competence in the fields of pedagogy, professionalism, personality, and social have a significant impact on the smoothness of the teaching and learning process. Competent teachers are able to organize a more active and creative learning process and are able to connect the subject matter with students' real-life situations using a contextual approach. Using methods such as storytelling, discussion, and role play, as well as interactive learning media, can maximize student enthusiasm for learning, engagement, and level of understanding. Contextual learning not only focuses on cognitive abilities, but also has the ability to develop students' character and attitudes in accordance with Islamic values. Therefore, teacher competence is a crucial factor in shaping the ISCH learning process that not only provides information, but also has meaning and can be applied in everyday life.
