Abstract

Physical fitness is an important physical component and must be possessed by Sports Education students, because most of the courses offered are practical courses. One of the basic physical fitness that must be possessed is cardiorespiratory endurance. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of basic physical fitness of cardiorespiratory endurance students of the FKIP UMS sports education study program batch 2021. To determine the level of a person's cardiorespiratory endurance can be done by measuring maximum oxygen (VO2max) by means of tests and measurements of running MFT (Multistage Fitness Test). This type of research is quantitative descriptive research which is stated in the form of a percentage. The population of this study used all active students of the FKIP UMS Sports Education Study Program batch 2021 totaling 120 students consisting of 105 boys and 15 girls. The results showed that from 120 sports education students there were 10 people or 8% physical fitness level in the very poor category, 17 people or 14% physical fitness level in the less category, 21 people or 18% physical fitness level in the moderate category, 56 people or 47% at the low level. physical fitness is in good category, and there are 16 people or 13% of sports education students who have a physical fitness level in the very good category. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the level of basic physical fitness (cardiorespiratory endurance) of the 2021 FKIP UMS sports education students was good. There are 72 people or 60% of the total 120 students are in the good and very good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang motivasi berenang ditinjau dari usia di Surakarta. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik dari seseorang yang melakukan olahraga berenang di kolam renang daerah Solo. Peneltian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan satu variabel, yaitu motivasi, populasi yang digunakan adalah pengunjung kolam renang Tirtomoyo Manahan. Pengambilan  sampel  menggunakan  teknik sampling  insidental  yakni teknik penentuan sampel berdasarkan kebetulan, yaitu siapa saja yang secara kebetulan insidental   bertemu dengan peneliti. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 84 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data menggunakan skala psikologi, untuk menganalisis data yang terkumpul, peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seseorang memiliki motivasi instrinsik dan ekstrinsik dalam melakukan olahraga renang. Motivasi tersebut berbeda-beda sesuai dengan usia masing-masing sample. Faktor intrinsik pada kategori usia anak-anak (5 th-11 th) karena mereka ingin bermain dan senang dengan permainan  air, pada kategori usia remaja (12 th-25 th) sebagai gaya hidup dan menambah teman serta mengisi waktu luang, pada kategori dewasa (26 th-45 th) sebagai penunjang pola hidup sehat dan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan, sedangkan pada kategori lansia (46 th-65 th) sebagai salah satu olahraga untuk terapi kesehatan yaitu sterapi asma dan kesehatan tulang. Faktor ekstrinsik para naraasumber rata-rata sama memilih kolam renang yaitu karena kolam renang Tirtomoyo berada di tengah kota dan memiliki fasilitas yang lengka serta lingkungan kolam yang bersih.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine how high the level of understanding of swimming safety in swimming pool visitors in Surakarta City. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of understanding of swimming safety in swimming pool visitors in Surakarta City. This research is a quantitative research with data analysis with percentage sescriptive. Data collection using questionnaires. This study focused the population on pool visitors in Surakarta City. This sampling technique is incidental, which is a sampling technique based on chance, that is, anyone who incidentally meets the researcher. The sample of this study was 24 people. The results of this study are described in percentage, namely the level of knowledge of swimming pool visitors about swimming safety in Surakarta City is categorized into 3 categories, including the "low" category as many as 3 people or 12.5%, for the "medium" category as many as 4 people or 16.7%, while for the "high" category as many as 17 people or 70.8%. Overall more than 50% of pool visitors in Surakarta City have a high level of understanding about swimming safety.
