Abstract

Social media is a tool for interacting between individuals with one another. The use of social media in Indonesia is very massive. However, this use is only used for communicative purposes, not to reach a wider reach in product marketing. Social media can be used for product promotion. The explanation above has explained the importance of use. Therefore, this service is carried out in order to provide an understanding of the importance of using social media for MSMEs. Many MSMEs still do not understand the importance of promotion via social media, either through personal company accounts or through people who promote their products. So we conducted outreach to MSMEs on optimizing the use of social media, by assisting in creating an Instagram account and how to use Instagram to maximize promotion at the Rica-rica Mbok Usreg food stall located in Ngemplak, Boyolali. Socialization of the use of social media to Mbok Usreg food stalls uses quantitative methods by conducting field surveys and also collecting data after the survey is carried out. It is hoped that the results of this community service will provide benefits, namely by providing understanding and skills in using social media so that they can be used for marketing promotions in a wider range. By providing understanding and skills in using social media to MSME owners, it is hoped that social media can be utilized so that marketing can be broader and more people can get to know MSME products.

Abstract

Civil engineering infrastructure development plays a vital role in driving economic progress and enhancing the quality of life within communities. The success of infrastructure projects depends not only on budgetary and technological factors but also on the quality of human resources (HR) involved in every project phase, from planning to maintenance. This literature review highlights that skilled and competent HR is a critical factor in achieving project success, particularly amidst increasing complexity and the challenges posed by globalization. Key issues faced by the sector include a shortage of skilled labor, high turnover rates, and a misalignment between educational outcomes and the skills required in the field. Additionally, technological advancements, such as the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), demand continuous skill enhancement to adapt to the growing automation of industry processes. Effective HR management—encompassing ongoing education, fair incentive systems, and the integration of technology into HR practices—is essential for boosting productivity and mitigating risks during project execution. A comprehensive approach, including a structured HR management system, is required to ensure the sustainability and quality of infrastructure development. This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the critical role of HR management in the civil engineering sector and proposes practical recommendations for improving HR quality to meet the evolving demands of the construction industry.

Abstract

The issue of journalist safety in Indonesia is increasingly urgent to be studied within the framework of strategic human resource management (HR). The work risks faced by journalists not only reflect external pressure from third parties but also indicate the weakness of the internal protection system implemented by media organizations. This study aims to analyze the perception and experience of journalist safety risks and evaluate the role of individual characteristics, organizational responses, and legal support in creating safe and sustainable working conditions. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive approach by utilizing secondary data from the 2024 Journalist Safety Index (IKJ). The data includes 760 journalist respondents from various regions in Indonesia, which were analyzed using frequency distribution techniques, cross tabulations, and simple correlations. The main variables consist of individual journalist characteristics (X1), media organization responses (X2), external legal support (X3), and safety risks (Y1), perceptions of protection (Y2), and psychological resilience (Y3). The results of the study show that female journalists, low-income journalists, and journalists domiciled outside Java have higher levels of risk. The response of media organizations to safety issues is still relatively weak, especially in terms of safety training and provision of protection protocols. Meanwhile, the available legal support is not yet fully effective, but still plays a role in increasing the courage of reporting and the psychological stability of journalists. The conclusion of this study confirms that journalist safety must be an integral part of the media HR management system. Institutional reform, including strengthening internal regulations, legal assistance, and risk-based training, are strategic steps that need to be implemented to build a professional and safe media ecosystem.

Abstract

Steel structure projects are increasingly favored in the construction industry due to their benefits in execution time efficiency and long-term cost savings. However, the suboptimal management of human resources (HRM) remains a significant challenge in achieving these efficiencies. This study aims to systematically review the role of HRM in enhancing time and cost efficiency in steel structure projects. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted based on the PRISMA protocol, analyzing 35 accredited scientific articles published between 2013 and 2023. The articles were sourced from national databases such as Garuda and Neliti, and data were extracted using standardized documentation instruments. The analysis reveals that workforce planning, project-based training, performance monitoring, and inter-team coordination are key managerial aspects that consistently contribute to improving both time and cost efficiency. Visualization of topic networks using VOSviewer highlights strong interconnections between themes such as "training," "schedule control," and "performance evaluation," all of which are critical components of strategic HRM practices. This study concludes that HRM plays a crucial role in achieving efficiency in steel structure projects, especially through the integration of technical workflows and managerial control systems. Effective workforce planning ensures that the right skills are available at the right time, while performance monitoring and training programs help enhance productivity and reduce delays. The findings suggest the necessity for formulating HR policies that are based on workload analysis and the improvement of real-time workforce evaluation mechanisms. Furthermore, the study calls for further research to test integrative models for HRM practices in steel-based construction projects in Indonesia. This research opens avenues for refining HRM strategies to support the construction industry’s efficiency goals, offering insights for future studies and practical applications in the field.
