Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan membaca dengan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia di SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 142 orang dan dengan penarikan sampel yaitu kelas IV dengan jumlah 30 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasi. Berdasarkan hasil temuan didapati bahwa nilai siwa hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia yaitu 77,05, chi kuadrat hitung = 4,24 < 9,49 = chi kuadrat , maka diterima jadi data tersebut berdistribusi normal untuk taraf 5 % atau 0,05. 0,364 > (0.306) jadi Ho ditolak. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh simpulan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan membaca dengan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia SD kelas IV Negeri 19 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This study is aimed to improve reading comprehension ability of the fourth grade students of SDN 32 Banda Aceh. This research is based on the problems found in the class that the students look less excited due to the monotonous method used by the teacher in presenting the material to the students. The teacher only provides reading text to students and then the students were asked to answer questions from the reading text. This research is using Classroom Action Research and the subject of this study were the fourth grade students of SDN 32 Banda Aceh academic year 2015/2016 of that consist of 30 students. This study was conducted in two cycles in which for each cycle consist of two meetings. The data were analyzed descriptively both qualitative and quantitative. The result shows that the application of word scramble technique successfully improve students' reading comprehension ability. Students become more active and enthusiastic in learning reading, students are more willing to express their opinions, and students’ group work is running well. The improvement of students' reading comprehension ability is seen from the number of students who achieved the minimum criteria of pre-test at 36.6%, which it is increased 60% at the first cycle and at the end of the second cycle of 87%. While the average value on pre-treatment is equal to 65.2, the end of first cycle is 70.5, and at the end of second cycle is 78.33. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas kemampuan membaca pemahaman Siswa Kelas IV SDN 32 Banda Aceh. Dalam mengikuti pembelajaran siswa terlihat kurang bersemangat, hal ini dikarenakan guru dalam mengajarkan materi pembelajaran membaca pemahaman menggunakan cara yang monoton. Guru dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia hanya memberikan teks bacaan kepada siswa, kemudian siswa disuruh menjawab pertanyaan dari teks bacaan tersebut. Sehingga keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa masih kurang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research), dengan subjek penelitian Siswa Kelas IV SDN 32 Banda Aceh Tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa Kelas IV SDN 32 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pembelajaran dengan setiap siklus dua kali pertemuan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penerapan teknik scramble wacana berhasil memperbaiki proses pembelajaran serta kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dapat meningkat. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif dan antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, siswa lebih berani mengungkapkan pendapatnya, serta kerja kelompok berjalan dengan baik. Peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa terlihat dari jumlah siswa yang berhasil mencapai nilai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal pada pre-tes sebesar 36,6%, akhir siklus I sebesar 60%, dan pada akhir siklus II sebesar 87%. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata pada pratindakan adalah sebesar 65,2, akhir siklus I sebesar 70,5, dan pada akhir siklus II sebesar 78,33. Kata kunci: Teknik Scramble, Membaca Pemahaman

Abstract

This research has a goal to obtain factual overview about: study of the cultivation of the character in the 2013 Class IV Curriculum SDN 19 Banda Aceh the school year 2017/2018; Integrate the planting characters in the learning process processed; applying cultural school activities in our daily lives or on grade class IV; and implementation of extracurricular activities in developing students' character values. The instruments used to collect data consisting of, interview, observation and documentation. Observations were made to the students and teachers in all schools in our daily activities which include. While the interview is conducted to the teacher about the implementation of the planting characters in all schools. The results of this research through observation and interviews, after research that: (1) cultivation of character in SDN 19 Banda Aceh, the learning process of teachers instill religious attitudes, polite, reasoned and logical, honest, discipline etc. (2) the activities of everyday life in schools teachers instill salaman cultures forms, forms of behaviour and symbols that related the planting characters; (3) the cultivation of the Character on the extracurricular activities of the values applied are disciplined, friendly, cooperation, responsibility, fostering an attitude of confidence, foster a unyielding stance and not despair. AbstrakPenelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran faktual mengenai: Kajian penanaman Karakter Dalam Kurikulum 2013 di Kelas IV SDN 19 Kota Banda Aceh tahun ajaran 2017/2018; Mengintegrasikan penanaman karakter dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas; menerapkan budaya sekolah dalam kegiatan atau kehidupan keseharian pada siswa kelas kelas IV; dan pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam mengembangkan nilai-nilai karakter siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriftif. Intrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data terdiri dari, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan terhadap siswa dan guru yang meliputi kegiatan keseharian disekolah. Sedangkan wawancara dilakukan kepada guru tentang pelaksanaan penanaman karakter disekolah. Hasil penelitian ini melalui Observasi dan wawancara setelah dilakukan penelitian bahwa: (1) Penanaman karakter di SDN 19 Kota Banda Aceh, proses pembelajaran guru menanamkan sikap religius, sopan, dan berfikir logis, jujur, disiplin dan lain sebagainya.( 2) Kegiatan keseharian di sekolah guru menanamkan bentuk budaya-budaya salaman, bentuk perilaku dan simbol-simbol yang terkait penanaman karakter; (3) Penanaman Karakter pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler nilai-nilai yang diterapkan adalah disiplin, bersahabat, kerjasama, tanggung jawab, menumbuhkan sikap percaya diri, menumbuhkan sikap pantang menyerah dan tidak putus asa. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve intensive reading skills through Preview, Question, Read, Summary, and Test(PQRST) learning strategies for the fourth grade students of elementary school (SDN 45) Bungo Pasang Padang. The design of this study was classroom action research carried out in two cycles, which cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects of this study were teachers and students of the fourth grade of SD Negeri 45 Bungo Pasang. The data were collected quantitatively and qualitatively obtained by testing, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques used were qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study show that: (1) The use of PQRST strategies increase the activeness of the fourth grade students of SDN 45 Bungo Pasang. (2) The use of PQRST strategies shows the increase in students' intensive reading skills which the result of the pre-action test shows only 15 out of 25 have achieved completeness or only 60% of students completed, an increase to 80% in cycle I or as many as 20 of 25 students completed, and increased to 90% in cycle 2 or 24 of 25 students completed . Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif melalui strategi pembelajaran PQRST pada siswa IV SD Negeri 45 Bungo Pasang Padang. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri atas perencaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 45 Bungo Pasang. Jenis data berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif yang diperoleh dengan teknik tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis deskriptif kuantatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Penggunaan strategi PQRST dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa kelas IV SDN 45 Bungo Pasang. (2) Penggunaan strategi PQRST juga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan membaca intensif siswa. Dimana tes pratindakan menunjukkan hanya 15 dari 25 saja yang mencapai ketuntasan atau hanya sebesar 60 % siswa tuntas, terjadi peningkatan menjadi 80% pada siklus I atau sebanyak 20 dari 25 siswa tuntas, dan meningkat menjadi 90% pada siklus 2 atau 24 dari 25 siswa tuntas. Abstract

This study deals with the practicalities of learning media use macromedia flas-based beginning reading. The issue raised in this study is how the practicalities of learning to read the beginning of media-based Macromedia Flash? The goals achieved in this study are the practicalities of learning media read the beginning of a valid Macromedia Flash-based, reliability, practical use to improve reading skills in the beginning. This study is testing against the media learning macromedia flash-based beginning reading. On the test data is taken in the form of: (1) the validity of the developed Products, (2) Observation of the use of Macromedia Flash-based learning media, (2) the results of the response of teachers towards learning media being used. The results showed that the media learning developed already a very valid and can be used as a medium of instruction for learners in the learning process reads the beginning, it is based on the overall value of validation experts and practitioners with a 3.76 rating score that is located on a very valid category. The average results of the assessment of the respondent against the media of instruction are very practical i.e. on the category with a value of 90. Further observations of the use of the media study shows use of macromedia flash-based learning media are very practical i.e. on the category with a value of 95. Thus it can be concluded that the media learning developed very practical in terms of presentation and use in the learning process. Abstrak Kajian ini berkenaan dengan praktikalitas penggunaan media pembelajaran membaca permulaan berbasis macromedia flas. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam kajian ini adalah bagaimanakah praktikalitas media pembelajaran membaca permulaan berbasis Macromedia Flash? Tujuan yang dicapai dalam kajian ini adalah praktikalitas media pembelajaran membaca permulaan berbasis Macromedia Flash yang valid, reliabel, praktis digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan. Kajian ini merupakan uji coba terhadap media pembelajaran membaca permulaan berbasis macromedia flash. Pada uji coba ini diambil data berupa: (1) Validitas Produk yang dikembangkan, (2) Observasi penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash, (2) hasil respon guru terhadap media pembelajaran yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sudah sangat valid dan dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran bagi peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran membaca permulaan, hal ini berdasarkan nilai keseluruhan validasi ahli dan praktisi dengan skor nilai 3,76 yaitu berada pada kategori sangat valid. Hasil rata-rata penilaian responden terhadap media pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat praktis yaitu dengan nilai 90. Selanjutnya hasil observasi penggunaan media pembelajaran menunjukkan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis macromedia flash berada pada kategori sangat praktis yaitu dengan nilai 95. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sangat praktis dari segi penyajian dan penggunaan dalam proses pembelajaran. Abstract

Interviews with SD Negeri 16 Banda Aceh class teachers revealed that the learning media used in grade I primary schools were less varied, less interesting, and the use of busy book media had never been used for students' speaking skills, with the development of busy book media expected to produce instructional media that were interesting and fun as well as being a solution for various problems in the learning process. Based on this case, the Busy Book media can be said to be valid used in the learning process ss in the first grade of elementary school. This has led researchers to conduct research under the title "Development of Busy Book Learning Media on Speaking Skills of Class I Students in SD Negeri 16 Banda Aceh. The formulation of the problem in this study y is: how to develop a valid Busy Book learning. media used for learning speaking skills of first grade students of SD Negeri 16 Banda Aceh? This study aims to produce a valid busy book learning media used for learning the speaking skills of grade 1 student at SD Negeri 16 Banda Aceh. This research is included in research and development (R&D). This study adapted the development procedure from Thiagarajan, a 4D (four-D) device development model. Data collection techniques used by researchers are questionnai re questionnaires for media experts, namely from the aspect of content, graphics and depth of the media. Research data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the study in the form of validator 1 assessment results get an avera ge value of 3.9 validity and the assessment category is "Valid used". validator 2 assessment results get an average value of 3.6 and the assessment category is "Valid used". and validator 3 obtained an average value of 4.03 and the assessment category was "Valid used. Thus, the Busy Book media can be said to be valid to be used for learning the speaking skills of grade 1 students at SD Negeri 16 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Model cooperative learning Numbered Head Together (NHT) in teaching and learning activities in social studies with the subject matter of the social problems in the fourth grade Elementary School Superior Lampeuneurut. The formulation of this research through cooperative learning increases learning motivation, self-confidence. The purpose of this study is to determine learning motivation, self-confidence and improve student learning outcomes. Classroom Action Research (PTK) in grade IV SD Negeri Unggul Lampeuneurut students were carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, acting, observing and reflecting. The results of this study obtained Activities teachers during the first cycle obtained an average score of 3, 61 (72.30%), including both categories and activities students gain an average score of 3.38 (67.5%) were included in both categories. Activities during the second cycle teachers earn an average score of 4, 54 (90.90%) and included in the excellent category. Activity of students during cooperative learning NHT in the second cycle obtain an average value of 4, 5 (90%) including category very well. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that learning social problems by applying the cooperative model type NHT increases the completeness of learning outcomes in grade IV students. SD Negeri Unggul Lampeuneurut. The increase in the average acquisition score of the first cycle of 65, 83 (54.16%), the second cycle of 75.83 (66.66%) increased by 12.5%.

Abstract

During the learning activities, only teachers are active and still use lectures in the learning process, while students are still less active in engaging in learning activities. Besides, information was obtained that so far teachers only use student worksheets sold in the market, meaning that teachers have never developed worksheets that are suitable for topics and learning models that are suitable for student characteristics. Student worksheets that are sold freely are very general, not yet able to reach the characteristics of students in each region. The formulation of the problem in this study is what is the level of validity of the worksheets based on the SAVI learning model (somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual) on the knowledge competencies of Grade V students of SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh? and can worksheets based on the SAVI learning model (somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual) improve the knowledge competence of grade V students of SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh ?. The objectives of the study were to determine the validity level of student worksheets based on the SAVI learning model (somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual) on the knowledge competencies of Class V students at SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh and to find out whether the worksheets is based on the SAVI learning model (somatic, auditory, visual, and Intellectual) can improve the knowledge competence of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques using tests and checklists. Data analysis uses a scale to see whether the student worksheets are valid or not. As for the test results using statistical tests. The results showed that the worksheets based on the SAVI learning model was feasible to use to improve the knowledge competence of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh. This is reinforced by the test results which show there are differences in learning outcomes before and after students are taught using worksheets based on the SAVI learning model, where the results of student tests after being taught using worksheets based on the SAVI learning model are better than before.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) To determine the validity of contextual-based thematic teaching materials to increase the learning interest of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Ujong Tanjong; 2) To evaluate the effectiveness of contextual-based thematic teaching materials to improve the learning interest of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Ujong Tanjong, and 3) To find out the student's response to contextual-based thematic teaching materials to increase the learning interest of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Ujong Tanjong. This research is a research development or Research and Development (R&D). This study uses the 4D model (Four D Model). The development stage steps, namely the defining stage (Define), design (Design), development (Develop), and deployment (Disseminate). This research was conducted at SD Negeri Ujong Tanjong, with a total of 20 students. There 18 male students and ten female students. This research aims to contextual-based thematic teaching materials to increase the learning interest of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Ujong Tanjong. Data collection techniques used were expert validation, questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The result of this development is a contextual-based thematic teaching material that is suitable for use. The feasibility of teaching materials produced from design expert validation, material expert validation, and linguist validation is ideal for teaching materials. Student responses to teaching materials obtained in field trials were very good, with an average score of 97%.
