Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of job involvement, competence, and employee engagement on employee performance at PT Dhana Persada Manunggal Semarang. Research variables include: job involvement (X1), competence (X2), employee engagement (X3), as independent variables, and employee performance (Y) as dependent variable. This study used multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study were all employees of PT Dhana Persada Manunggal Semarang, amounting to 50 people. Samples are selected using the method of saturated sampling that all members of the population sample used as samples or also called census research. Data collections techniques are using questionnaires, interview, observation, and literature review. Based on the result of this study, job involvement, competence, and employee engagement have positively and significantly influence on employee performance. While the adjusted R square has value 68,3%, it means that job involvement, competence, and employee engagement give contribution to employee performance (Y) on 68,3% while 31,7% influenced by other variables which were not described in this study.

Abstract

Service quality is very important for a company. In the process of improving the service quality, Pratama Semarang Candisari Tax Office requires strategy. The objective of this study is to define the appropriate strategy to  improve  service  quality of Pratama Semarang Candisari Tax Office by applying SWOT analysis. Pratama Semarang Candisari Tax Office, a public service agency  under  the Ministry of Finance is in charge of serving the community in extending taxation liabilities. The population used is the taxpayers and employees of the Pratama Semarang Candisari Tax Office, while the sample used is 100 taxpayers and 36 employees of service parts and Account Representative of Pratama Semarang Candisari Tax Office. The collection of data was done by  observation, questionnaires, interviews, and literature, while the sampling technique used is incidental sampling for taxpayers and purposive sampling for employees of the Pratama Semarang Candisari Tax Office. The results show that Pratama Semarang Candisari Tax Office in the position of the quadrant 1, it is shown on  the  coordinates of the x = 0.30 and y = 0.71. It means that the company is suggested to employ strategy of concentration. It may also use the Strengths Opportunities Strategy, Weaknesses Opportunities Strategy, Strength Threats Strategy and Weaknesses ThreatsStrategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of emotional intelligence, affective  commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on the employee performance at Chakra Naga Furniture Jepara. This study used a sample of saturated, whereby the entire study population was selected into the sample as many as 50 employees. The data analysis technique used in this study linear analysis techniques with the help of Software Package for Social Science (SPSS) for Windows. It is showed that emotional intelligence, affective  commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) positive and significant impact on performance. This study shows that the employees that have high intelligence would be optimal in demonstrating their performance. Employees who have a high affective commitment to the organization where his performance will likely increase. This situation is also coupled with employees’s organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) which is high to where he works as well as the other employees will demonstrate improved their performance and attitude that they are likely more sociable, friendly, and more able to accept a job without much complain and denial.
