Abstract

Current study examines the effect of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) skills on the environmental performance of manufacturing companies in Thailand. This study also evaluate the mediating role of innovation performance among the relationship of GSCM skills and environmental performance. The sample was limited to the firms that had certification of ISO 14001 EMS in Thailand. Data were collected from the companies mentioned above through a questionnaire. The technique that is used to investigate the association between the understudy variables is PLS-SEM. Multiple regression has been used to test the direct relationship among the variables used in the study while multiple regression with the bootstrapping procedure is used to check the mediating role of innovation performance on the association of GSCM skills and environmental performance. The results revealed a positive association between GSCM skills and environmental performance. In addition, results also elaborated that innovation performance mediates the association between GSCM skills and firm’s environmental performance.

Abstract

Knowledge, skills and abilities are the core of success for individuals and organizations as well. The study attempted to examine the predictors of the supply chain skills. The data were collected from the employees of hospitals specifically working in the supply chain departments. Data were collected by using the self-administered questionnaire. Smart-PLS has been used for data analysis. The study results have revealed a significant positive relationship between social capital and supply chain skills. Furthermore, the study results also showed access to information and network resources as a significant mediators between the relationship of social capital and supply chain skills. It is concluded that managing the relations at work will tend to produce positive outcomes for an organization. Future directions and limitations are provided at the end of research paper.

Abstract

The prime goals of the current paper investigate the influence of SCM practices on organizational performance with moderating roles of ‘governor’ and ‘collaboration. The organizational performance was measured on the basis of three dimensions such as economic, social and environmental aspects. Data was collected from Thai food manufacturers and was tested visa Measurement Model and Structural Equation modeling. The study highlights influence of sustainable procurement and sustainable distribution or logistics to determine the organizational performance in Thai food industry. Moderating role of ‘governance’ and ‘collaboration’ were also examined and presented interesting outcomes. The research paper also focuses the need of considering various factors including business process, sustainability, collaboration, sustainable procurement, logistics or distribution with moderating role of governance and collaboration. Firms must strive for improving effectiveness of supply chain and organizational performance in highly competitive market.
