Abstract

Container is a technology that has recently been widely used because of the additional features that are very easy and convenient to use, especially for web hosting service developers, with Container making it easier for system admins to manage applications including building, processing and running applications on Container. With Container the process of creating and using the system will be easier but along with too many user requests so that the service does not run optimally. Therefore, the Container must have good scalability and performance. Scalability is needed for systems that can adjust to the needs of user demand and performance is needed to maintain the quality of services provided. This research aims to implement scaling using Docker and Kubernetes in terms of scalability and performance. The parameters of comparison between Docker and Kubernetes are for scalability, scaling up and scaling down time and for performance. The method in this research uses the Action Research methodology, which is a research model that is simultaneously practiced and theorized. With the initial steps of problem identification, action planning, action implementation, observation and evaluation. Based on the results that have been obtained, Docker consumes more CPU & Memory Usage Resources, namely at 500 Users Kubernetes consumes Resources with an average of 94.47%-4.70% while in Kubernetes 89.11%-4.50 because in Kubernetes itself has a complex system, especially special component components such as APIs, Metrics Server, Kubernetes manager to run the Container. While in Docker only has Docker Manager and Docker Compose components.

Abstract

The growth of the Internet has brought about significant changes in how we store data. Common data storage media include hard disks, flash drives, and CDs. With the advancement of technology, cloud storage has emerged as a new alternative in the world of storage. In this regard, two leading cloud storage platforms, Owncloud and Nextcloud, have evolved into popular options. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the level of High Availability and reliability of Owncloud and Nextcloud cloud storage platforms. This is accomplished by conducting load testing and simulating failure scenarios to assess the platforms' ability to ensure data access during disruptions and enhance performance under high loads. The research methodology used is the Network Development LifeCycle (NDLC). The software employed as the operating system is Ubuntu Server 20.04, and for web server load testing, Netdata and Nagios are used to monitor the system. The results of this research provide comprehensive information on the high availability and reliability of Owncloud and Nextcloud cloud storage platforms in modern computing environments.

Abstract

Aplikasi merupakan suatu perangkat lunak yang dirancang khusus untuk memenuhi kebutuhan berbagai aktivitas dan pekerjaan manusia. Rancangan aplikasi ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan proses pendataan bagi pelatih dan peserta latihan gerakan jasmani (Garjas A & B) di JASDAM II SRIWIJAYA. Selain itu, aplikasi ini juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman pelatih dan peserta terhadap perkembangan teknologi yang terus berkembang. Metode yang diterapkan dalam perancangan aplikasi ini adalah metode waterfall, yang dilaksanakan sebagai bagian dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di JASDAM II SRIWIJAYA. Pelaksanaan perancangan aplikasi dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini melibatkan anggota JASDAM II SRIWIJAYA sebagai pelatih dan peserta. Tujuan utamanya adalah agar pelatih dan peserta dapat mengaplikasikan efisiensi aplikasi dalam proses pendataan latihan. Hasil dari perancangan aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kemudahan dalam pelaksanaan latihan bagi pelatih dan peserta di JASDAM II SRIWIJAYA melalui penggunaan aplikasi. Selain itu, perancangan aplikasi pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini juga memberikan pemahaman kepada pelatih dan peserta mengenai materi latihan, berat ideal, dan informasi lainnya yang terdapat dalam aplikasi. Sehingga, pelatih dan peserta dapat memiliki keterampilan dalam menggunakan aplikasi ini baik pada komputer maupun Smartphone Android. Kata Kunci : Website, Aplikasi, Waterfall

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology, particularly in computer networking, has played a crucial role in supporting the operations of various institutions, including hospitals. RSUD Siti Fatimah is one such institution that leverages computer network technology to enhance performance and the quality of patient care. However, the hospital faces challenges with congested and slow network connections, which can hinder operational efficiency. To address this issue, a load balancing solution based on MikroTik was implemented using the Per-Connection Classifier (PCC) method, allowing the distribution of load across two ISPs for a more stable and faster connection. The PCC method was chosen for its ability to enhance connection speed and distribute network load evenly between the two gateways, thereby preventing overload. Additionally, a failover technique was applied to ensure that if one ISP connection fails, the network traffic is automatically switched to the other ISP, keeping the network operational without interruption. The implementation of this solution is expected to improve network efficiency and enhance healthcare services at RSUD Siti Fatimah.

Abstract

To communicate and share data, the Palembang city government's regional apparatus work unit (SKPD) office requires an immediate internet connection. The SKPD office is still using various internet service providers (ISPs) at this time, so any network issues won't be fixed immediately by the previous ISP. To resolve this issue, a separate network infrastructure centered in the Palembang mayor's office is required. The Palembang city government will be able to control the network because the SKPD offices will be able to communicate with one another and share data as a result of this.. The organization foundation that will be utilized is fiber optics, since fiber optics have a high web access speed, and have a steady sign so information move will be quicker, more successful and furthermore productive.
