Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mendeskripsikan motivasi generasi muda dalam mempelajari bidang pertanian, (2) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi generasi muda pertanian dalam mempelajari bidang pertanian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah adalah kuantitatif model penelitian desain riset berupa causial research dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara purposive, yaitu di Sekolah Tinggi Penyuluhan Pertanian Malang. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa tingkat satu Jurusan Penyuluhan Pertanian dan Jurusan Penyuluhan Peternakan STPP Malang. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 242 mahasiswa. Penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan teknik pengukuran sampel Kecjie dan Morgan. Sampel yang digunakan secara acak yaitu sebanyak 148 mahasiswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi dan telah memiliki hal yang mendasar sehingga mampu menjadikan driving force dalam menempuh pembelajaran di bidang pertanian. Faktor-faktor yang yang berpengaruh terhadap motivasi generasi muda adalah asal sekolah, orientasi pekerjaan, dukungan pengajar dan dukungan orang tua. Faktor-faktor tersebut memiliki koefisien regresi yang bertanda (+) positif secara berurutan yaitu 4,192, 1,490, 0,281, dan 0,247 serta angka signifikasi sebesar 0,002, 0,000, 0,009, dan 0,000 pada kepercayaan 95% (α = 0,05).Kata kunci : motivasi, generasi muda, pertanianDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um023v8i12019p162

Abstract

This research aims to describe the level of competence of farmers in composting, and to draft extension and try out the implementation of counseling about composting in group of livestock of Mekar. The research was conducted in sub-district Dagangan of Madiun Regency. Selection of livestock group is done by purposive that is the only group of livestock that have made compost that is group of livestock of Mekar which is located in Kepet village. The research method used is case study with quantitative descriptive approach with scoring. The population is 44 people, the sample is based on the census. The results showed that: 1) the level of competence of farmers in composting is classified with the details of the competence of the preparation stage is low, the competence of the manufacturing process is low, and the competence of the storage stage is classified; and 2) drafting the extension plan based on the target and the purpose of extension so that the breeder know, understand and able to increase the C-Organic content and C / N Ratio on the compost according to the standard. Success shows the improvement of compost quality before and after counseling in accordance with the purpose of counseling. Abstract

The purpose of this research is determine : (1) Babinsa role, (2) college student role and (3) Changes of farmers behavior in the Program Efforts Special Rice Corn and Soybean. The data collection is done by observation, interviews, focus group discussions, documentation. Sample of 60 people with simple random sampling. The results showed: (1) Babinsa role : (A) Mobilizing and motivating farmers; (B) Implement support in certain circumstances; (C) Implement supervision of administrative filing and distribution of aid to beneficiaries; and (D) Conducting oversight of the activities of identification, data collection and reporting of technical implementation of the activities.; (2) Student college role: (A) Escort and assistance for the implementation of the GP-PTT, POL, RJIT, PAT and demfarm, (B) Introduction of technology, (C) Develop a model empowerment of farmers, (D) Develop networks and businesses partnerships, and (E) Identify data collection and reporting of the activities. Extension to solve the problems encountered in the field, resulting in changes in the farmer behavior include aspects: (a) knowledge, (b) attitudes, and (c) skills. Babinsa and college student role is very favorable to the smooth UPSUS Pajale Program and directly advantage farmers.

Abstract

Norm in Sub district Sekar which requires each family maintain a minimum of one cow bringing the total number of cattle population in Sub District Sekar many as 7.676 cows. Livestock raising cattle in Karya Unggul Livest ock Group is carried out jointly with the colony cages as many as 54 cows. A cow can emit feces weighing 25 kg / day (Sihombing, 2000 in Alex S, Without the Year). It should therefore be able to produce compost herd weighing 1.350 kg / day. But the manure waste has not been used and simply discarded. Therefore, to improve the ability of farmers to do the class learned about composting. The purpose of this research was to determine the increase in the capabilities of Karya Unggul Livestock Group in composting through classroom learning. The method used is qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection is done by observation, interviews, focus group discussions, documentation. The research location determined by purposive, namely in group Livestock Karya Unggul In the village Sekar Sub District Sekar District Bojonegoro. The sample used in the census, cosnist of 60 responden. The results showed that increasing the capabilities of livestock group as classroom learning starts from: 1) Planning Study, 2) Implementation of Learning, and 3) Evaluation of Learning. Their classroom learning about composting expected farmers can apply compost processing technology that has been studied and used as a basic fertilizer plant.
