Abstract

This Community Service Activity is intended to enhance motivation and to improve the four fundamental skills in learning Arabic Language for students of Ushuludin Islamic Boarding School in Kalianda Southern Lampung. In order to achieve this goal, the activity uses the drama method with a lecturing approach, mentoring, rehearsal, and culminates in a performance. The result of this activity is that the selected students who become actors are highly motivated in the learning process (writing, reading, speaking, and listening). The composition of the text of the legend 'Bujang Kurap' is also easier to perform as it is associated with the cultural context of the legend.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form and function of directive speech acts in the film Abdurrahman and Ahlam. This study uses the theory of John Searle. The method in this study uses a qualitative descriptive method with tapping techniques, free listening techniques, and note-taking techniques. The data source in this study is the dialogue contained in the film Abdurrahman and Ahlam. Data was taken from the Ibtikar Media Channel in 2020. The results of this study are the researchers found 171 utterances. 15 utterances in the form of requests, 89 in the form of questions, 32 in the form of commands, 7 in the form of prohibitions, 6 in the form of granting permission, and 22 in the form of advice. Of the six forms of directive utterances found, the question form is the most dominant with a total of 89 utterances.   Keywords: Channel, Directive, Film, Pragmatics, Speech Act   Abstrak   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur direktif pada film Abdurrahman dan Ahlam. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori dari John Searle. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik sadap, teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah dialog yang terdapat dalam film Abdurrahman dan Ahlam. Data diambil dari Channel Ibtikar Media tahun 2020. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peneliti menemukan 171 tuturan. 15 tuturan dalam bentuk permintaan, 89 dalam bentuk pertanyaan, 32 dalam bentuk perintah, 7 dalam bentuk larangan, 6 dalam bentuk pemberian izin, dan 22 dalam bentuk nasihat. Dari enam bentuk tuturan direktif yang ditemukan, bentuk pertanyaan menjadi yang paling dominan dengan total 89 tuturan.   Kata Kunci: Channel, Direktif, Film, Pragmatik, Tindak tutur
