Abstract

Students do not have much experience of entrepreneurship in the meantime. Itindicates their weakness of practical application toward community problem. Specificpurpose of this activity is to enhance student’s self-potency through entrepreneurshipsubject in order to be a successful entrepreneur. The teaching methods of this subjectare lecturing, product-making, presentation, direct visit, and written test. Theentrepreneurship subject focuses on problem-solving of small industry. Givingcomprehension and a little experience will help to form their sincerity to start andmanage a business. Statistically, there is a significant difference in entrepreneurialspirit between the initial condition and final condition, either on the basis of selfassessment or peer assessment. Based on the result gained from this activity, it can beconcluded that student’s self-potency can be enhanced through entrepreneurshipsubject. It is suggested to students of Semarang State University to keep on doingbusiness development to be a successful entrepreneur.Kata Kunci:Pengembangan, potensi, wirausaha

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa suatu SMA N di Jekulo dengan menerapkan metode praktikumberbasis masalah. Metode pelaksanaannya dengan desain control group pretestpostest, yaitu penelitian dengan melihat perbedaan hasil pretest maupun postest antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas XIIPA sebanyak 4 kelas.Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapat XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis uji perbedaan rata-rata hasil postest kelas eksperimen menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dibanding kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata nilai postest yaitu 76,8 sedangkan kelas kontrol yaitu 70. Uji normalitas Gain pada hasil belajar kognitif siswa menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang lebih baik dalamketerampilan proses sains sebesar 0,48 dan kelas kontrol peningkatannya sebesar 0,35dengan kriteria sedang. Tingkat ketercapaian indikator keterampilan proses sains menurut analisis deskriptif menunjukkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen sangat baik yaitu91,12%. Menurut analisis koefisien determinasi diperoleh hasil bahwa penelitian ini berkontribusi sebesar 37,21% dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut disimpulkan bahwa penerapan praktikum berbasis masalahdapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the implementation of Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) assisted by Google Sheets in exploring students’ interest and learning outcomes on the Basic Laws of Chemistry for 11th-grade students. The research was conducted at senior high school in Semarang, involving 45 students from classes XI Fearless and XI Genuine, selected using convenience sampling. An explanatory sequential design was employed, beginning with quantitative data collection on students’ learning outcomes and interest in chemistry, followed by qualitative interviews to explain unexpected findings. Descriptive analysis showed that students’ average interest score was 96.13 (75%), with the highest indicator being “students’ attitude toward assigned tasks” (81%) and the lowest being “independent awareness in learning chemistry” (47%). Knowledge outcomes averaged 54.67, with only 5 students surpassing the Minimum Mastery Criteria. The affective dimension revealed higher achievement, particularly in levels A1 (receiving, 78%) and A3 (valuing, 76%). Critical thinking skills remained low, with 73% of students categorized as “very low.” Interviews indicated that difficulties in understanding material, preference for conventional learning, and external factors contributed to the gap between high interest and low learning outcomes. These findings suggest that while GDL assisted by Google Sheets effectively enhances students’ interest, additional instructional support and reinforcement are necessary to translate high interest into improved learning achievement
