Abstract

Improved personnel performance will bring progress for the institution to be able to carry out its duties. Therefore, efforts to improve personnel performance are the most serious challenges for leaders because the success in achieving goals depends on the quality of the performance of human resources in it. The purpose of this study was to analyze the variables that have an effect on improving the performance of the Indonesian Navy's Diktukpa students Candidates including competence, career development and soldier motivation. The method used is a quantitative method with Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis and AMOS software. The results showed that the competency variable had an adequate influence on performance although it was not significant. The soldier career development variable has a significant effect on the performance variable of the NCO soldier candidates for the Indonesian Navy's Diktukpa students. The soldier competency variable has a very significant influence on the motivation of the NCO soldier candidates for the Indonesian Navy's Diktukpa students. The soldier career development variable has a significant influence on the motivation of the NCO soldier candidates for the Indonesian Navy's Diktukpa students. The soldier's motivation variable has a sufficient influence on the performance of the NCO soldier candidates the Indonesian Navy's Diktukpa students even though it is categorized as less significant. The analysis of the results can be used as a basis for input in the formulation of strategies and policies as well as efforts to improve the performance of Naval Air Force candidates for the Indonesian Navy's Diktukpa students, given the very important function of the presence of NCO members who are the liaison between officers and enlisted. By increasing the performance of Naval Forces candidates for the Indonesian Navy's Diktukpa students, it will automatically improve the performance of the Indonesian Navy organization. Keywords: Competence, Career Development, Motivation, Employee Performance, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world with a vast ocean area and the richness of the fish. It allows theoccurrence of crime at sea, for example, is a crime of theft of fish and other marine resources. Indonesia in theregard Indonesian Navy confronted with various obstacles, among others, the limitation of the number of patrolboats that are not proportional to the extent of waters that should be on the cover as well as the limitations ofthe available budget for operational activities in the framework of the implementation of law enforcementoperations related crime at sea. With the limitation of that than required effectiveness and efficiency inoperations to crime at sea can still be implemented and the richness of the sea remains awake. The utilization ofremote sensing satellite technology capable of delivering information quickly with a broad scope. This researchuse the MODIS Aqua Image data Level 2 to detect the distributions of chlorophyll-a concentration which is anindicator of the fertility of the waters of an area the area is closely connected with the fisheries through theimplementations process of bottom-up areas with transparent high fertility rate is an area that's prone to fishtheft crime occurred. From the result of the data processing MODIS-Aqua Satellite image pattern time andlocation of the concentration of chlorophyll-a and verified by VMS data indicate that there is a close relationshipwhere a times and areas with a high concentration of chlorophyll observed a lot of fishing activity, so it is used inthis research can be used as supporting data in determining the direction and timing of the operation inparticular operations against crimes the theft of fish, finally the marine security operations could become moreeffective and efficient and success can be further improved. Keywords: Sea area, chlorophyll-a, effective and efficient.

Abstract

Organizational goals will be achieved through positive employee performance, otherwise the organization will face obstacles in achieving goals when employee performance is ineffective, so that the success of an organization will be greatly influenced by the performance of its employees. The problem in this study is how to determine the effect of motivation, competence and career development of a person on employee performance. While the purpose of this study was the method used in this research is quantitative method using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis techniques, to find out the influence relationship between the variables studied. The results showed that the competence of employees on employee performance is significant. This means that the more competent an employee is, the more positive his performance will be, as well as career development for employees has a positive effect on improving employee performance. Competency level and employee career development have a positive effect on employee motivation and also affect employee performance improvement.
