Abstract

Despite the efficacy of minutia-based fingerprint matching techniques for good-quality images captured by optical sensors, minutia-based techniques do not often perform so well on poor-quality images or fingerprint images captured by small solid-state sensors. Solid-state fingerprint sensors are being increasingly deployed in a wide range of applications for user authentication purposes. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new fingerprint-matching techniques that utilize other features to deal with fingerprint images captured by solid-state sensors. This paper presents a new fingerprint matching technique based on fingerprint ridge features. This technique was assessed on the MSUVERIDICOM database, which consists of fingerprint impressions obtained from 160 users (4 impressions per finger) using a solid-state sensor. The combination of ridge based matching scores computed by the proposed ridge-based technique with minutia-based matching scores leads to a reduction of the false non-match rate by approximately 1.7% at a false match rate of 0.1%.

Abstract

AbstractMuslim culture introduces the tradition of calligraphy as a form of Islamic art that uses the verses of the Qur'an as the main focus of recognition in the Islamic tradition. Concludes with the development of knowledge that the Khat tradition has been developed with technology. Detection of Khat with the Fuzzy Associative Memory method to detect patterns on the Khat by detecting an image or a photograph. Abstract

The sharp growth of data communication recently raise the importance of data security and confidentiality. Cryptography is the art or science of maintaining the security of data or message that randomize the data or message. In addition to text-based documents, it is also common to send image through a network. This research investigates the way to secure the image from the cryptanalyst disorders by using TEA (Tiny Encryption Algorithm) algorith, which is a secret key cryptographic algorithm. The strength of this algorithm lies in the Feistel network and the number of delta derived from the golden number. It was found that the algorithm is appropriate for encrypting and decrypting image, because of stronger round quantity and key length, and does not need S-box and P-box in the process. The test showed that this algorithm with 32 round fits highly for securing images with optimum speed. It was also found that the bigger image size, the longer the encryption and decryption process takes time to run, with decrypted image has different bit depth value compared to original image.

Abstract

The developments of information technology urge companies to escalate their performance, effectiveness and eficiency. One of the important information technology application is prediction. For a distributor or a retailer, the capability of predicting the selling is notable to determine an accurate stock of goods. This matter avoids a shortage of the stock of some items in a store and help them to operate warehouse efficiently. In this research, a prediction of selling quantity of a snack distributor is carried out using single exponential smoothing method. The research shows that by using a single exponential smoothing to predict the selling can help the business entity to maintain the availability of goods and improve their performance in managing the storehouse, even though the accuracy of this method in the prediction is not too good.

Abstract

Identification of image is needed to facilitate the work of humans in terms of classification. The statistical method is one method often used to identify image. Identtification process in this research is a process where the images of children and adult face were used as an input for the purpose of age classification using the features of the second order. Calculated value is the value of Energy, Contrast, and Entropy. Calculation of statistical method of second order characteristics (Energy, Contrast and Entropy) is by measuring the contrast, granularity androughness of an area of the neighborhood relations between pixels in the image. System output is to determine the input image is the image of a child or adult. The test showed that percentage of the success was 83% for images those have been in practice, while the test for images outside the training showed the percentage success rate of 67%.

Abstract

Metode Regresi Linear Berganda digunakan untuk mengukur pengaruh antara lebih dari satu variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Studi kasus penelitian ini dilakukan pada Dinas Kesehatan Aceh Utara dengan menggunakan dua variable bebas, yaitu X1 adalah kematian bayi yang disebabkan oleh BBLR (Berat Badan Lahir Rendah), dan  X2 adalah kematian bayi yang disebabkan oleh asfiksia (gagal pernafasan), dan satu variable terikat, yaitu y adalah jumlah kematian bayi. Sistem ini meramalkan tingkat penyebab kematian bayi untuk seluruh puskesmas di Aceh Utara yang dibagi menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu puskesmas bagian Timur, bagian Barat dan Tengah, bagian Pedalaman, dan bagian Pesisir. Hasil dari sistem ini berupa peramalan tingkat penyebab kematian bayi yang lebih berpengaruh tahun depan. Dari data kematian bayi pada tahun 2014 di 26 puskesmas di Aceh utara, hasil yang diperoleh pada tahun 2015 adalah penyakit asfiksia lebih berpengaruh dari pada BBLR. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat membantu pihak Dinas Kesehatan untuk meramalkan tingkat penyebab kematian bayi yang lebih berpengaruh tahun depan.
