Abstract

Extension is an important activity in agriculture and extension process is spearheading the delivery of information and agricultural programs of government to be one determinant of the success of agriculture in Serdang Bedagai. Lack of agricultural extension workers of the task - the task of agricultural extension is not comparable with the managerial ability of extension workers such as extension workers who can not advance the farmer groups such as developing leadership skills, entrepreneurial and managerial capacity of farmers. Performance of agricultural extension in Serdang Bedagai decline is a phenomenon that should get the attention of the parties concerned.The aim of this study was to find the factors that affect the performance of the agricultural extension Bedagai Serdang. Find policy alternatives for improving the performance of agricultural extension Serdang BedagaiThis type of research is quantitative research. Questionnaires were distributed by purposive sampling to 103 extension agents who work in Serdang Bedagai.From the analysis, obtained that Based on the analysis of questionnaires distributed to 103 respondents, the value of the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.840, which means 84% of the performance of agricultural extension is affected by the variable reward system, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, commodities dominant target area, while 16 % influenced by other variables. A significant difference between the variable awards simultaneously, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, the dominant commodities target area with the performance of agricultural extension. Based on testing in partial award, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, the dominant commodities target area a significant difference to the performance of agricultural extension. Variable award has the most dominant influence on the performance of agricultural extension.

Abstract

A country if if want to want a smooth and sustainable development, it must start from the rural areas in general. Speaking of the countryside we are actually talking about poverty and the background and how to combat it, when we talk about the problem of poverty and indolence, we face a very big and complex problem. To improve the effectiveness of poverty alleviation and job creation, the government launched the National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM) Mandiri starting in 2007. Through PNPM Mandiri, it was formulated again the mechanism of poverty reduction efforts involving community elements, from planning, implementation, to monitoring and evaluation. The purpose of this study is to determine the attitudes of the community towards the program of PNPM Mandiri in the research area and the impact of PNPM Mandiri program on the socio-economic community in Pulau Pulau Pulau Singkajadi Serdang Bedagai district. This type of research is purposive research. The questionnaires were distributed by purposive sampling to the sample of the people who felt the assistance from the PNPM Mandiri program with the number of samples of 30 people on the island of Pulau Gambar. The results of this study indicate that the attitudes of the community towards the PNPM program provided by the government are positive, because it impacts both to the community and in accordance with the needs of the community in work. Socioeconomic impacts on PNPM Mandiri program on Social Differences Traveling to other areas / villages, Holding community meetings in relation to the PNPM Mandiri program, Conducting discussions among other villagers / other villages in relation to the PNPM Mandiri program, there are significant differences before and after the existence of PNPM Mandiri program. On Economic Differences Revenue, capital, number of jobs, number of working hours there are significant differences before and after the existence of PNPM Mandiri program. Only the number of working family members does not differ significantly between the number of family members working before and after the PNPM Mandiri program.Keywords: community attitude, socio-economic impact on PNPM Mandiri program.

Abstract

Dari sisi teknologi infrastruktur, penerapan dan pengaplikasian blog di Politeknik Trijaya Krama sangat mendukung. Politeknik Trijaya Krama memiliki infrastruktur server, jaringan lokal kampus maupun internet yang bisa dimanfaatkan secara gratis oleh civitas akademika Politeknik Trijaya Krama. Selain itu, dari teknologi perangkat lunak yang akan digunakan untuk mengembangkan blog, saat ini sudah tersedia teknologi instan yaitu Wordpress MultiUser yang bisa langsung diimplementasikan. Teknologi ini sudah banyak dimanfaatkan untuk blog. Dari segi ketersediaan alat pada dosen, hampir seluruh dosen dan mahasiswa memiliki perangkat komunikasi untuk mengakses website seperti komputer PC, laptop, tablet PC maupun smartphone. Selain itu, blog sangat mudah digunakan karena memiliki tata letak dan cara penggunaan yang user friendly. Namun meskipun blog sangat mudah digunakan, pelatihan pengisian blog bagi dosen masih sangat perlu dilakukan. Dalam pelatihan yang diajukan dalam proposal PKM ini, dosen akan diajarkan cara mengakses, mendesain, mengisi konten, mengubah profile dan tata cara menulis konten agar informatif dan mudah dikenali oleh mesin pencari. Dalam proposal ini, selain mengajukan kegiatan pelatihan blog juga sebelumnya akan dilakukan pengembangan blog di Politeknik Trijaya Krama. Dosen sebagai tenaga pendidik berkewajiban mengembangkan dan menyebarkan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan seni kepada peserta didik maupun masyarakat secara luas. Keterbatasan waktu, jarak dan cara kadang-kadang menjadi kendala untuk menyebarkan ilmu pengetahuan secara lebih luas. Terlebih lagi tidak tersedianya media yang bisa dimanfaatkan secara akademis untuk menulis, menuangan ide dan berbagi kepada orang lain menjadi kendala bagi dosen untuk berbagi materi ajar dan informasi akademis yang dimiliki. Sementara itu teknologi internet berkembang sangat tepat. Internet yang dulu sebagai sesuatu yang mewah saat ini sudah bisa dimanfaatkan secara mudah. Bahkan di Politeknik Trijaya Krama memberikan layanan internet gratis dengan kapasitas bandwith 115 Mbps bagi seluruh civitas akademika untuk menunjang kegiatan dikampus.
