This research purpose to show how ritual communication in cultural social diversity of fi sherman community of Kedungrejo Muncar Banyuwangi going in harmony. As a result, collective ritual of Petik Laut become a media of communication and integration within variety of fi sherman community. The focuses of research are: 1. How reality of ritual of Kedungrejo fi sherman community?, 2. How cultural social diversity in the community be build?, 3. How ritual communication become a media of integration within this multi ethnic cultural community?. This research describes that the ideology is a signifi cant problem for coastal society caused of their character. Coastal communitues, generally known for being violent and open to religious and ideological diversity. Ritual communication as an integration media for cultural social community can be seen in implementation of Petik Laut collective ritual. It shows the coastal Islamic cosmology that communication on ritual erase social cultural border in their community. Keywords: Ritual, Plurality, Communication and Cosmology

This study aims to explore the role of gender-based group communication. The theory usedÂ was group communication, gender communication and information theory. This research was usingÂ qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documents. TheÂ results showed that, the reality of women fishermen actively involved in gathering groups,Â cooperatives and groups develop themselves. The process of women's access to information, receiveÂ and process information must be notified in advance because, knowing the importance or whetherÂ only personal information. The role of group communication of the fishing communities women are atÂ least three that conformity, social facilitation and polarization.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran komunikasi kelompok berbasis genderÂ dengan focus pada perempuan sebagai anggota kelompok dalam mengakses informasi, menerima danÂ mengolah informasi. Landasan teoritis yang relevan dengan penelitan ini adalah komunikasiÂ kelompok, komunikasi gender dan teori informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif.Â Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tehnik observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. HasilÂ penelitian menunjukan bahwa, realitas perempuan nelayan terlibat aktif dalam kelompok arisan,Â koperasi dan kelompok mengembangan diri. Proses perempuan mengakses informasi, menerima danÂ mengolah informasi harus diberitahukan terlebih dahulu karena, mengetahui penting atau tidaknyaÂ informasi hanya bersifat pribadi. Peran komunikasi kelompok terhadap komunitas nelayanÂ perempuan setidaknya ada tiga yakni konformitas, fasilitasi sosial dan polarisasi.

This study is focusing on communication pattern of educational communication of fishermen children. The purpose of this study was to describe the education of fishermen children do not get stuck on dropout. So the focus (1) How does the social reality of fishing families in Wonorejo? (2) What are the perceptions of parents in regard to education for children? (3) How are the communication patterns of education in the family of fishermen to raise awareness of children in education? this research based on the qualitative analysis by reducing, observating, interviews and documents. The results of study that fishing are poor, that makes difficully to pursue their education to higher levels, it triggers the child has a "dropout". Second family communication is actually done intensely with the patterns of interpersonal communication. Third, the Communication to child in family occurs in three forms, between mother and father, parents and children and children with other children with social associative and dissociative.

This study aims to demonstrate how the accommodation of two different traditions in term of ideology and social that can be create tolerance and peace in society. A primary issue of this study is how the ideology and social accommodation take place between Islamic tradition and Osing.It is comprised in this research questions:1.How does the Islamic Tradition in the coastal of Kedungrejo village?2. How is the development of culture and tradition of Osing in Kedungrejo village? 3. How is the development of accommodation, tradition and ideology among fishermen in Kedungrejo village which will be the frame of cosmology?This study shows that ideology is a significant problem for the coastal societyare easily ignited emotions, misinterpretation and and do something fatal.However, coastal society generally known as a rampart and open mindedÂ society, still permissive to the diversity of religions and ideologies.The attitude that always wanted to show the 'personal identity' is the one characteristic of coastal society.Osing as original tradition in Banyuwangi still provide color on fishermen appreciation for nature.So the accommodation between tradition and ideology bring forth cosmology of coastal societyin Kedungrejo village as a result of the accommodation between Islam and Osing become the local ideology that able to reduce conflicts

This research has been aim for showing about how discourse analysis in media pilkada politic communication in situbondo, politic communication strategic was built byÂ candidate of regency fatayat inhegemoni or power of priyayi politic in Situbondo. So became development in politic communication of candidate leader of area on practice and scholarship. Then many questions will be answered are: 1) how is Fatayat of women Situbondo preception of realty politic in Situbondo. 2) How do Fatayat women face the obstacles of political communication in Situbondo? 3) How do Fatayat women build political communication strategies in dealing with kyai political hegemony in Situbondo? By using qualitative-explorative research approach, some steps in observation data collection procedure, interview and documentation are done consistently and continuously so that the first research produce political climate in Situbondo is in the power of kyai (men) in gender analysis is patriarchy political culture so space women's politics are not as free as the political space of men. Both communication barriers and women's political participation are found in several factors, including cultural barriers, political capital constraints and human resource constraints. The three strategies of women's political communication are carried out in several ways: firstly lobbying, establishing cooperation with various parties and agencies, both communication processes ranging from message selection, media selection and proper selection of communication so that communication strategy becomes effective.

Media and technology take us to an era of information literacy. The pattern of communication and conversation on social media recently tends to provoke, shows the low ethics of Indonesian society in in the public domain communication such as social media. It is undeniable that women also took part as a subject in social media, including the Fatayat group in Situbondo. This study emphasizes the empowerment of social media ethics towards fatayat women in Situbondo through media literacy to fight hoax. It was a qualitative-explorative research by examined how fatayat ethics and behavior in communication through social media and how women are ethically empowered through strengthening knowledge media literacy. Social media in fatayat women live brings and forms a new world in interacting and communicating. Manage contents via Facebook shared and published by fatayat members, making them learn literacy. This assistance is aimed to train students in improving speaking skills in order to make easy in conveying messages and ideas to others. It is Located in Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School. It has two research problems, they are, (1) How is the speaking skill empowerment through discourse techniques to the students in building public speaking communication? (2) How are the obstacles faced by students in Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School?. The assistant explores interview data and documentation data by the data analysis technique. The results show that (1) The activities of muhadharah discourse training in Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School is carried out once a week on Saturday evening. (2) With great motivation, the students will carry out activities with focus on the objectives of the learning process. (3) Muhadharah is carried out by all caretakers and all students in Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School.

This outreach program aimed to train students in achieving organizational skills, management, leadership and communication skills. It was located in Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School. Based on the result of the interview data and documentation, it shows that: the organizational activities of the Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School students include the management structure and the head of the division who is responsible for each position; students carry out activities by focusing more on learning objectives; meeting involve activity planning, activity actualization, activity arrangement and activity controlling are carried out once a month with a facilitator.

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that have strong roots in the Muslim community in Indonesia. Being in a boarding school requires students to make adjustments. One factor that influences self-adjustment is self-regulation. This research is a type of correlation research. The data obtained were analyzed using the statistical calculation of product moment correlation. Sampling using proportionate startified random sampling totaling 87 people. The measuring instrument used is a scale of self-regulation that refers to Bandura’s theory and a scale of adjustment that refers to Schneiders theory. The results of this study indicate that the level of self-regulation of adolescent new students is in the high category of 49 students (56%), and as many as 38 students (44%) are in the medium category. The results of the adjustment level of teenage new students were in the high category of 58 students (67%), and 29 students (33%) were in the medium category. The product moment analysis results show that there is a positive and very significant relationship between self-regulation and self-adjustment shown from the results of the Pearson correlation of (r) = 0.424 with sig (p) = 0.000 (p <0.05). Saat ini banyak sekali organisasi yang terbentuk baik dari kalangan pemuda maupun lainnya. Namun hanya beberapa saja organisasi yang berhasil mencapai tujuan. Dari sekian banyak organisasi yang berhasil mencapai tujuannya adalah organisasi yang ada di kota Malang yaitu organisasi IKMASS. IKMASS merupakan kepanjangan dari Ikatan Mahasiswa Alumni Salafiyah Syafi’iyah, merupakan organisasi yang terbentuk antar sesama mahasiswa khususnya mahasiswa alumni dari Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo Situbondo yang berada di suatu wilayah tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan strategi komunikasi organisasi yang dilakukan IKMASS pada ukhuwah islamiyah antar alumni Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo Situbondo yang ada di kota Malang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi organisasi yang dilakukan IKMASS pada ukhuwah islamiyah antar alumni Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo Situbondo yang ada di kota Malang ada dua jenis komunikasi yaitu komunikasi internal dan komunikasi eksternal.
