Abstract

This study aims to determine work-family balance strategies in women who have a dual role especially in Banjar women and to know the factors that influence the achievement of balanced work family. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with interview data collection methods. The research subjects were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study are related to strategies in balancing work and family that are done by the subject, namely 1) making the best use of time, time management, completing work on time, separating work and family matters, making special schedules to spend with children and other family members every Saturday Sunday or holiday, and prioritize important days for families and children such as child shows and others that indeed our existence becomes important for our families 2) monitor the family while working for example by making a single call to the child to check the situation even there are parents or household assistants who guard them, 3) share roles with husbands. Furthermore, the factors that influence the achievement of balance are 1) partner support 2) commitment at the beginning of marriage 3) the same experience of the husband. The implication of this study is that it can provide an overview related to work-family balance strategies in women who have multiple roles. Work-family balance is important for everyone because if the multiple roles run are not balanced then it is likely to lead to family and work conflicts.

Abstract

Good psychological well-being is characterized by individuals who have positive emotions and can go through difficult times that cause negative emotions to emerge. Data obtained from Riskesdas (Riset Kesehatan Dasar), in 2007 about 11.6% of the Indonesian population aged over 15 years showed emotional mental disorders characterized by symptoms of depression and anxiety. Then in 2018 the prevalence of emotional mental disorders again increased to around 9.8% (Idaiani & Isfandari, 2020). One of the factors that influence it is social support that comes from friends. Support from friends is not always positive, but also negative. Negative friends are referred to as toxic friends, namely friendships that are detrimental. The aims of this study are, (1) to describe the level of psychological well-being of Islamic University Students, (2) to describe the level of toxic relationships that occur in the circle of friends of Islamic University Students, and (3) to analyze the effect of toxic relationships on psychological well-being. to students of Islamic University Students. The method used for this research is simple regression. With a population of 11,000 people and a sample of 265 students aged 18-22 years. The results of this study are, (1) the level of psychological well-being in Islamic University Students is dominated by the very high category as many as 155 students with a percentage of 58.5%, (2) the level of toxic relationship among Islamic University Students is dominated by the low category as much as 140 students with a percentage of 52.8%, (3) there is an influence between variables toxic relationships and psychological well-being with effect level of 11.4%. Although it does not have a big influence, it is important for us to control a healthy friendship environment to maintain psychological well-being in ourselves.

Abstract

Anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dengan anak-anak pada umumnya dan hal tersebut juga berlaku pada apa yang mereka lakukan dan gunakan sehari-hari. Salah satunya ialah permainan yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam menstimulasi kognitif serta gerak motorik mereka. Sehubungan dengan hal itu, alat permainan edukatif adalah alat yang sengaja dirancang secara khusus untuk meningkatkan aspek-aspek perkembangan anak sebagai alat bantu belajar yang dapat mengoptimalkan perkembangan anak, disesuaikan dengan usia dan tingkat perkembangannya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Poliklinik Psikologi RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin. Adapun untuk target pada kegiatan pembuatan dan penerapan mainan edukasi ini ialah anak berkebutuhan khusus yang sedang menjalani terapi. Adapun beberapa langkah-langkah yang dilakukan pada kegiatan tersebut meliputi: (1) Tahap persiapan, (2) Tahap pembuatan dan uji coba, dan (3) Tahap pelaksanaan. Berdasarkan kegiatan tersebut terlihat bahwa anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus tertarik dengan permainan puzzle yang diberikan karena memiliki warna dan gambar-gambar yang menarik. Selain itu, anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus juga terlatih konsentrasi serta kemampuan berpikir dan analisisnya saat menyelesaikan permainan puzzle. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan dan pengamatan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pembuatan dan penerapan mainan edukasi (puzzle) untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus, sangat berguna dalam proses terapi di RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin tepatnya di Poliklinik Psikologi. Mainan edukasi tersebut pula, mampu memberikan warna baru bagi ABK di sana dengan dilihat dari ketertarikan mereka untuk bermain serta menyusun puzzle tersebut
