Abstract

Pain is the main complaint that is often felt by patients with osteoarthritis. Many alternatives that can be used to reduce pain, one of which is a non-pharmacological method that compresses cold water and warm water compresses. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness between compress cold water and warm water compresses in reducing osteoarthritis pain. This research is pre experiment with one group pre and post-test design. The population is all pre elderly aged 50-65 years with osteoarthritis in Kepuh Kembeng village of 20 people. The sampling technique used is total sampling with instruments such as the observation sheet. Data presented in tables and analyzed using paired-simple T test and Mann Whitney Test. In the cold water compress obtained the highest pain scale before the therapy is severe pain (30%) and moderate pain (30%), after therapy becomes moderate pain (40%). In the warm water compress therapy group obtained the highest pain scale before treatment is moderate pain (60%), after treatment becomes mild pain (70%). Results of simple paired T-test on cold compresses obtained p = 0.000 and p = 0.02 in warm water compresses H1 accepted meaning. While the difference between using a different test Mann Whitney Test was obtained p = 0.667, the p> 0.05. The conclusion was that there was no significant difference between cold water compresses and warm water compresses to pain in pre elderly with osteoarthritis.

Abstract

AIDS is a collection of symptoms caused by decreasing the body's immunity as a result of Human Imunodeficiency Virus (Dinkes, 2012). Most sufferers of HIV/AIDS get a negative perception from the family and social environment. Increased patient of HIV/AIDS and lack of health education about HIV/AIDS make people become overly cautious, so they assume that HIV/AIDS very dangerous and patient of HIV/AIDS can no longer socialize with people of normal health status. The purpose of this study was top analyze the influence of health education on the perception of society (The principal construction of family welfare) about HIV/AIDS in the village of Besuk Kidul, district of Besuk, Probolinggo regency.This research design used one group pre-post test design, with the population of all The principal construction of family welfare in the village of Besuk Kidul, by total sampling with respondents as many as 40 people. The independent variable was health education about HIV/AIDS and the dependent variable was the perception of society (The principal construction of family welfare) about HIV/AIDS. The Instrument of this research used a questionnaire, then analized by editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and statistic T-Test with an error level 0.05.The result of research obtained that the perception of society (The principal construction of family welfare) about HIV/AIDS before being conducted health education was positive as 55% and negative as 45%, after being conducted health education the perception of society about HIV/AIDS was positive as 73% and negative as 27%. The analize result used T-Test obtained significant 0.000, so it can be ctated that H1 accepted.The conclusion of this research showed that there is an influence of health education to perception of society (the principal construction of family welfare) about HIV/AIDS in the village of Besuk Kidul district of Besuk Probolinggo regency.

Abstract

The delivery process can lead to a variety of difficulties and pain during childbirth, pain caused by certain nerve endings that cause his. Problem often encountered in the mother inpartu first stage is pain. The data obtained in the Hospital Dr. Sayidiman Magetan recorded the number of women giving birth for 1 year as many as 420 women giving birth with pain different.. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of relaxation techniques on labor pain in the first stage inpartu in Ponek room Hospital Dr. Sayidiman Magetan. The design of this study analytic approach pre exsperimental with one group pretest-posttest design, the entire population of mothers inpartu first stage in Ponek room Hospital Dr. Sayidiman Magetan ± 28 mothers, a sample of 17 mothers inpartu first stage is done by consecutive sampling technique. Relaxation techniques dependent variable and the independet variables labor pain. Measuring instrument using the observation sheet. Data processing using editing, coding, scoring, tabulating. The statistical test using the Wilcoxon test. From the results, the labor pain before being given a relaxation technique inpartu almost entirely pain was 15 respondents (88.2%) and after a given relaxation techniques is a mild pain most of the 10 respondents (58.8%). Wilcoxon test results with an error rate of <α = 0.05 level was found that the value ρ = 0.001 <α = 0.05, which means that H1 is accepted. The conclusion of this study a effect of relaxation techniques on labor pain in the first stage inpartu in Hospital Dr. Sayidiman Magetan in 2014.The conclusion of this study on effect of relaxation techniques on labor pain in the first stage inpartu in Hospital Dr. Sayidiman Magetan 2014. The results of this research can be used by midwives to provide relaxation techniques to women who are experiencing pain inpartu first stage of labor in order to reduce labor pain.Keywords: relaxation techniques, pain, inpartu first stage.

Abstract

Down syndrome is a genetic material condition which causes delay of child’s genetic.Theparentsoftenisolatetheir childrenwhosuffer fromdevelopmentaldisorders (down syndrome) duetochromosomal abnormalitiesorbearerof human nature. Therefore, childrenwith the syndromeis consideredtobe afamilydisgracespreader. Mothersoftenignoreself-carefor children with down syndrome especially interms ofhand washing. The research aimed toknowthe influencebetween mother’s role againts behavior ofsurferer down syndrome in the village of Karangpatihan district of Balong Ponorogo regency.The design in this research was analitical with cross sectional approach. The sampel were 33 of 89populations. Using simple random sampling technique. Data collected by using a questionnaire andobservation then data processed with Chie Square test to see the effect of mother’s role againts behavior ofsurferer down syndrome in washing hand. Data was presented in frequency distribution and Crosstabs .This research result obtained that the mother who played active role as many as 17 people (51,5%), andinactive was 16 people (48,5%). While on the behavior of surferer down syndrome obtained results that thesurferer who did good washing hand rightly as many as 20 people ( 60,6%) and who did wrong was as manyas 13 people (39,4%) and the result of statistic test obtained 0,008 that means so H1 accepted and H0rejected this means there’s effect between mother’s role againts behavior of surferer down syndrome inwashing hand in he village of Karangpatihan district of Balong Ponorogo regency.The conclusion in this research was there’s an effect of mother’s role againts behavior of surferer downsyndrome in washing hand in the village of Karangpatihan district of balong, Ponorogo regency.Keywords : Mother’s role, behavior, Down syndrome
