Abstract

The very noble vision of the managers of the Bendosari orchard, to turn the Bendosari orchard into an edutourism garden, initiated UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta to offer cooperation in realizing this great vision. The vision aims to make Bendosari fruit orchards for producing and developing knowledge, which can then become a field laboratory in the context of research and community service. Departing from this, the purpose of this research is to design a master plan for the Bendosari Edutourism Garden in accordance with the knowledge possessed by the author, namely the field of architecture. In architecture, some of the characteristics of edutourism facilities and services are protecting the surrounding environment, both in the form of the natural environment and local culture, having minimal impact on the natural environment during the construction and operation period, according to the cultural and physical context of the local area. Based on this, the design that responds to nature is very important in the process of designing an edutourism area. The methodology used is a descriptive method, starting with the preparation stage, with data collection through interviews to determine the assessment of user requests and data collection in the form of literature review, then proceed with survey/inventory and observation stages to be able to conduct site analysis, finally making a master plan design. The results of this study are in the form of a master plan design for the Bendosari edutourism garden area which is designed according to the natural conditions at the site location, taking into account the conditions of the direction of sunlight, wind speed and direction, topography, and the direction of water flow.

Abstract

UPT Logam Yogyakarta is one of the manufacturing industries engaged in metal casting services. UPT Logam Yogyakarta has the status of a Regional Business Service Agency so that this company has the capacity to receive requests from local and foreign consumers. One of the requests produced is the product Panasonic Downlight NN511. The problem that occurs in this company is the waste that occurs in the production process which results in losses to the company because the production output is not optimal. This can be indicated from the capacity of the production machine in the form of a sophisticated automated die casting machine with the ability to produce a Panasonic Downlight NN511 product per 45 seconds that cannot be utilized optimally, due to an unbalanced production path caused by waste and non-value added time. As a result, the production capacity of 1040 pcs per day cannot be achieved, and is only able to produce at the rate of 200-300 pcs. As a calculation reference to determine the degree of accuracy, a adequacy and uniformity test of the data will be carried out, then calculate the rating factor and determine the allowance for the calculation of normal time and standard time. After testing and adjusting the data with the factor rating and allowance, it was found that there was a cycle time that was greater than the taktime, it explained that the metal UPT had to reduce the cycle time at the finishing and packaging stations to be able to meet customer demands. One of the large proportions of waste is the waiting time in the production process. The analysis to determine the root cause of the problem is carried out using a fishbone diagram. To optimize available resources and increase production efficiency, several continuous improvements are needed in the flow pattern of the Panasonic Downlight NN511 production process. balancing, compiling the layout using Activity Relationships Chart, and collapsing diagrams. From these improvements, it is hoped that Yogyakarta Metals UPT in producing the Panasonic Downlight NN511 can achieve a higher level of productivity.

Abstract

The coffee shop industry has become part of modern urban life. One of the most significant impacts of the coffee shop industry on local communities is its role as one of the catalysts for economic development. It not only provides employment opportunities but also serves as an incubator for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Coffee shops are one type of restaurant that is smaller or specific in scope, in terms of the food and beverages served, usually with limited food choices. Because of this, this coffee shop is usually used as a place to talk, gather or just spend time. In essence, coffee shops are often used by people to relax, not as a special place to eat. Therefore, the design of this kind of place should be made more cozy, with the selection of elements that form the atmosphere of the room that must be considered, such as walls, floors, ceilings, lighting, furniture used, especially the selection of chairs. The chair is an element of the room that will be in direct contact with humans, so its selection will greatly affect the activities carried out by humans. The selection of the right type of chair will have an influence on human behavior in public spaces, therefore this research was conducted with a proximity approach. The object of research this time is emphasized on human behavior when interacting with friends, friends, relatives, acquaintances and lovers while in a coffee shop. The research method used in this research is natural obsevation which is qualitative in nature. This qualitative research method is used because the results obtained must be conditions without manipulation. This method is used to find out how different types of chairs affect human behavior in interacting when in different chair settings. The conclusion of this research is that the wrong placement or selection of furniture, especially chairs, will cause visitors to be uncomfortable in it and if the designer is less precise in choosing the type of chair, it can cause an area that is not in demand so that the area is not utilized properly.
