Abstract

The background of this research is that there are students who have difficulty understanding mathematics and the purpose of the research is to describe personality competence of mathematics teacher at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Andam Dewi. The approach of the research used descriptive qualitative. Questionnaire and interview used in collecting the data. The source of the data includes 10 students (5 students of XI MIA 1 and 5 students of XI MIA 2) and 2 mathematics teachers (1 teacher of XI MIA 1 and 1 teacher of XI MIA 2). Based on the questionnaire sheet shows 1) the average of personality competence of mathematics teacher of XI MIA 2 is 107.5 (good category) and 2) the average of personality competence of mathematics teacher of XI MIA 2 is 106.2 (good category). Furthermore based on interview, personality competence of mathematics teacher at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Andam Dewi is good category.

Abstract

The background of the research is the Covid - 19 pandemic that hit all countries in parts of the world, including Indonesia. This problem creates a home learning program policy by implementing online learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of power points in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Andam Dewi.The approach of the research used qualitative descriptive by applying data analysis technique which includes data reduction, presentation, and taking conclusion. Questionnaire and interview were used in collecting the data with 15 students as the respondents. The result of the research shows 4 students are decent, 7 students are enough decent, and 4 students are less decent. It’s concluded that the average of using power point is 35.26% (enough decent).

Abstract

Abstrack This study aims to analyze mathematical problem solving skills in online learning assisted by power point during the covid-19 pandemic at SMK Negeri 1 Batang Angkola. This research approach is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 15 students. Observations, tests, and interviews were used in data collection and triangulation techniques were used in analytical techniques. The results showed that the average problem-solving ability in online learning assisted by power point was 70.42 (good category). It was concluded that mathematical problem solving skills in online learning assisted by power point at SMK Negeri 1 Batang Angkola included students understanding the problem, planning, solving problems according to plan and re-examining. Keywords: mathematical problem solving skills, online learning, assisted power point
