Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the industrial sector on economic growth in Kediri City. Economic growth disparities between regions in Indonesia, including in East Java Province, contribute to imbalances in national development. One area experiencing low economic growth is Kediri City, which in 2023 recorded a growth rate of only 1.92%, ranking 37th out of 38 regencies/cities in East Java. Although the industrial sector contributes significantly to the city’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) primarily due to the presence of PT Gudang Garam Tbk. economic growth has shown signs of slowing. This phenomenon raises concerns about the suboptimal potential for local economic development. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using time series data spanning two decades (2004–2023). Data analysis is conducted through multiple linear regression accompanied by classical assumption tests. The findings reveal that the presence of PT Gudang Garam Tbk. strengthens the influence of industrial variables—such as industrial GRDP, number of industrial enterprises, industrial labor, human capital, and dependency ratio—on economic growth. In contrast, when PT Gudang Garam is excluded from the model, the number of enterprises and industrial labor variables no longer show a significant effect. These results highlight the strategic role of PT Gudang Garam in reinforcing the industrial sector’s impact on economic growth in Kediri City.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have the potential to drive community economic activities as well as being the source of income for most people in improving welfare, therefore to explore and encourage this potential it is necessary to analyze development through internal and external facilities. The purpose of this research is to find out, describe, and analyze the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Gebang Putih Village through internal and external facilities and analyze problem factors in the development of MSMEs. The research method used in this research is descriptive analysis, which describes and describes the situation, conditions, or events observed, namely regarding the development of MSMEs in Gebang Putih Village through internal and external facilities. The data analysis stage in this research uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation and then conclusion drawing. The data that has been obtained in the field is then recorded and analyzed. The results of this study found that the development of MSMEs will not be successful if it only relies on internal facilities. The role of external parties as facilitators has not been maximized. These problems can be overcome with a maximum assistance program because if it is only in the form of coaching and training, it is feared that the knowledge gained is only like a breeze without any implementation in the real world, for example related to technological knowledge and innovation in production.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi keuangan syariah melalui pendekatan direct interactive education dalam strategi cross selling oleh frontliner Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Surabaya Merr 1. Fokus kegiatan adalah edukasi produk Cicil Emas sebagai investasi syariah jangka panjang. Strategi ini tidak hanya bersifat edukatif, tetapi juga bertujuan meningkatkan penjualan produk. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam lima tahap: identifikasi, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil menunjukkan 207 nasabah menerima informasi, 120 tertarik, dan 61 mengajukan pembiayaan Cicil Emas. Temuan ini mendukung efektivitas pendekatan interaktif dalam edukasi keuangan dan menunjukkan potensi frontliner sebagai agen edukasi sekaligus promotor produk. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat literasi dan inklusi keuangan syariah. Kata kunci: literasi keuangan syariah, cross selling, edukasi interaktif, frontliner, cicil emas
