Abstract

Marriage is one of the most interesting socio-cultural phenomena in maintaining the existence of a society. Marriage is one of the human obligations in life in this world. According to Hinduism, marriage is a yadnya (sacred obligation), because a marriage is expected to give birth to a male child.Grahasta Dormitory life stages can be realized through marriage or wiwaha. According to Agatya Parwa, the main task of the Grahasta Dormitory is to create a life called "yatha sakti kayika dharma", meaning that with one's own ability to carry out dharma. So a Grahastin person is obliged to be independent in realizing dharma in this life.Keywords: Wiwaha, Hindus people, Manawa Dharmasastra
