Abstract

Models with sample-selection biases are widely used in various fields of economics such as labour economics (see Maddala, Amemiya, and Mroz). The models are usually estimated by Heckman's two-step estimator. However, Heckman's two-step estimator often performs poorly (see Wales and Woodland, Nelson, Paarsch, and Nawata). The data used in this study originated from the survey was conducted by the National Population and Family Development Board of Malaysia under the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia, called the Malaysian Population and Family Survey 1994 (MPFS, 1994).  The survey was conducted through a questionnaire, were randomly and specifically for married women. The data set focus on married women which provides information on wages, educational attainment, household composition and other socioeconomic characteristic. The Original sample data based on Mroz (1987), there are 4444 records married women. It is necessary to use the maximum likelihood method to estimate the models in such cases. For solving uncertainty data of  a parametric sample selection model, in this paper needs to consider the models estimation using fuzzy modeling approach, called Fuzzy Parametric Sample Selection Model (FPSSM). Fuzzy Parametric sample selection model (FPSSM) is builds as a hybrid to the  conventional parametric sample selection model. Finally, the result showed, FPSSM by Maximum Likelihood Estimator (MLE) estimates of the mean, Standard Deviation (SD).   Keywords:    Econometrics, Fuzzy Number, Heckman Two-Step Estimator,  Married Women,  MLE, Non-participation, Sample Selection Model.

Abstract

With qualified data or information a better decision can be made. The interval width of forecasting is one of data values to assist in the selection decision making process in regards to crime prevention. However, in time series forecasting, especially the use of ARIMA model, the amount of historical data available can affect forecasting result including interval width forecasting value. This study proposes a combination technique, in order to get get a better interval width crime forecasting value. The propose combination technique between ARIMA model and Fuzzy Alpha Cut are presented. The use of variation alpha values are used, they are 0.3, 0.5, and 0.7. The experimental results have shown the use of ARIMA-FAC with alpha=0.5 is appropriate. The overall results obtained have shown the interval width crime forecasting with ARIMA-FAC is better than interval width crime forecasting with 95% CI ARIMA model.

Abstract

Nowadays information system has become popular used for help effectiveness and efficiency operation on a company. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) system is a growing trend in corporate environment, where employees could access the system from anywhere. BYOD system is system information development using some technology like a Virtual Private Networks (VPN) or using some application to make the client on outside network office can access to inside networks with remote system. The remote system has strength to help employees working anywhere and anytime, that could make some issue for a security thing. The security issue that can be happen is unauthorized access and lost some important of company information. XYZ company as a manufacturing company in Tangerang, Indonesia has been used BYOD system in their company. They want to improve the security of the system with do risk analysis, with the aim to protect the internal data. The risk analysis use Cybersecurity Framework NIST will assist organizations to understand the risk of BYOD system. The analysist results obtained by the use of cybersecurity analysis on BYOD system in XYZ company are found some improvement need to develop in terms of security system recommended. According to the stages of respond with the analysis using Cybersecurity NIST framework and ISO/IEC 27002:2013.

Abstract

Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara berkelanjutan baik input, proses maupun output dalam suatu program studi, diperlukan aplikasi yang dapat mendukung bisnis proses. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan solusi dasar dalam pembuatan laporan borang akreditasi khususnya standar 3 yang dapat mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan strategis untuk tingkat manajemen. Model pengambangan data warehouse yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model skema star. Hal ini akan menghasilkan suatu sistem informasi data warehouse yang dapat digunakan untuk menghasilkan informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam pengisian borang akreditasi. Data warehouse dapat menyajikan data dengan lebih cepat sesuai dengan kebutuhan serta menghasilkan informasi yang lebih ringkas. Kemudian dengan bantuan aplikasi data warehouse dapat juga dilakukan analisis multidimensi dan dapat menghasilkan informasi yang bersifat analistis, sehingga bermanfaat dalam pengambilan keputusan selanjutnya

Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi saat ini, perkembangan dalam dunia industri baik dari sektor manufaktur dan jasa telah mengalami perubahan dan perkembangan. Tiap perusahaan saling berkompetisi untuk memenangkan persaingan dan mendapatkan pangsa pasar. Dalam pencapaian visi dan misi, perusahaan terus berupaya untuk meningkatkan produksi dan peningkatan kualitas baik dari sistem manajemen mutu yang diterapkan maupun kualitas dari produk yang dihasilkan.Six sigma merupakan suatu metode dan teknik pengendalian dan  peningkatan kualitas menuju target 3,4 kegagalan per sejuta kesempatan (DPMO) untuk setiap transaksi produk barang dan jasa. Jadi six sigma merupakan suatu metode atau teknik pengendalian dan peningkatan kualitas dramatik yang merupakan terobosan baru dalam bidang manajemen kualitas. Dengan menggunakan metode six sigma dapat diketahui bahwa kualitas keramik yang diproduksi oleh PT Haeng Nam Sejahtera Indonesia cukup baik yaitu 3,32 sigma dengan tingkat kerusakan 47722 untuk sejuta produksi (DPMO). Pedekatan six sigma pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada empat penyebab produk defect tertinggi yaitu: Crawling 32%,  glasir pinhole sebanyak 27%, glasir kurang rata sebanyak 21% dan bintik hitam 18%.

Abstract

Sebuah perusahaan memiliki sejumlah agen kios yang sehari-harinya berjualan pulsa dengan perangkat Electronic Data Capture (EDC). Perusahaan tersebut ingin meningkatkan penjualan dengan menambah variasi produk yang dapat dijual dengan cara yang sama yaitu menggunakan perangkat mobile secara online. Sayangnya untuk melakukan pembaruan terhadap aplikasi yang ada di EDC tidak mudah karena membutuhkan pemrograman secara khusus dan aplikasi tersebut harus dipasang ulang satu persatu. Sebuah perusahaan yang memiliki layanan switching penjualan pulsa, token listrik dan pembayaran tagihan (billers) memiliki fasilitas yang memungkinkan pelanggannya membangun aplikasi yang dapat bertransaksi secara online antar server (Host-to-Host/H2H). Fitur tersebut berbasis HTTP dan RESTful services yang memungkinkan pengembang aplikasi lebih fleksibel dengan bahasa pemrograman yang dipilihnya. Dalam penelitian ini akan dikembangkan sebuah aplikasi mobile hybrid yang memiliki koneksi billers menggunakan metode tersebut. Aplikasi mobile hybrid memungkinkan pengembang menambahkan fitur-fitur baru tanpa harus mengubah aplikasi yang ada di perangkat milik pengguna. Hal ini sangat menguntungkan karena produk pembayaran online semakin banyak sehingga penambahan fitur akan sering dilakukan. Selain itu arsitektur mobile hybrid dengan koneksi HTTP dan RESTful service juga dapat digunakan dalam kasus lain yang serupa di mana penyedia layanan menyediakan Application Programming Interface (API) yang berbasis HTTP dan RESTful services.

Abstract

Part-Variable Tools merupakan  aplikasi kecil yang dibuat dengan Ms. Excel, untuk melakukan perhitungan dan usulan MRP parameter dengan mempergunakan data transaksi bahan baku paling sedikit 1 tahun kebelakang.”Common Material” adalah tipe bahan baku yang ada di PT UNINDO yang harus selalu tersedia dalam kotak (bin) di Gudang Persediaan dan sumber kebutuhan akan bahan baku ini diminta oleh karyawan Gudang. Permintaan jumlah kuantitinya berdasarkan jumlah akutal yang ada dibandingkan dengan nilai level permintaan kembali (ROP) yang tertera pada KARTU KANBAN. Nilai ROP tersebut merupakan parameter MRP yang digunakan dalam perhitungan kebutuhan material.Perhitungan MRP dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas, produktifitas, dan efisiensi, perbaikan komunikasi, dan menurunkan biaya-biaya dan hal hal yang tidak diperlukan serta mendekati keinginan konsumen dengan meminimalkan waktu tunggu ( Kootaneel, 2013 )

Abstract

Climate change could lead to an increase in diseases in plants and animals. Plant pathogens have caused devastating production losses, such as in tropical countries. The development of algorithms that match the accuracy of plant and animal disease detection in predicting the toxicity of substances has continued through a massive database. Data and information from 10,000 substances from more than 800,000 animal tests have been carried out to generate the algorithms. Plant and animal disease detection using artificial intelligent in the modern ecological era is important and needed. Diseases in animals are still found in several Ruminant-Slaughterhouses. The purpose of the study is to identify the leverage attributes for using of Artificial Intelligent (AI) in detecting plant pests and animal diseases. The use of Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) produces a leverage attribute for the use of AI in detecting plant pests and animal diseases. The results showed that leverage attributes found were: Prediction of the presence of proteins structures produced by pathogens with a Root Mean Square (RMS) value of 4.5123; and Plant and Animal Disease Data will be opened with an RMS value of 4.2555. The findings of this study in the real world are to produce the development of smart agricultural applications in detecting plant pests and animal diseases as an early warning system. In addition, the application is also useful for eco-tourism managers who have a natural close relationship with plants and animals, so that ecological security in the modern ecological era, can be better maintained.

Abstract

SMK Telkom Bandung is one of the educational institutions under the Telkom Education Foundation called Telkom Schools. As a school that has a mission to implement information system based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for learning media, SMK Telkom Bandung must have an information system that can process student data related to student absences and grades. The management of absence and grade of student is not efficient because in once assesment process still requires a long time, there are a lot of errors in the sum result and data loss. Where these data are used to measure of the progress of student achievement. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a monitoring system for students who can deliver absent report and student grades to parents quickly through SMS Gateway notifications to help monitor the teaching and learning process in schools. This information system was developed using the SDLC prototype and PIECES analysis approach by integrating Gammu SMS Gateway as a notification feature. In the testing phase using black box testing the results show that the system can documentation absent and grades in a structured manner, be able to convey student attendance report information and grades quickly, teachers can present and evaluate attendance report and reports and grades accurately, as well as with the SMS Gateway notification parents can help monitor the teaching and learning process at school.

Abstract

PT Telkom Access has rules on travel rates approved by the Board of Directors. Each unit has the budget to do the trip, budget travel agency would have taken into account by the party Finance. Budget travel agency includes the price of the accommodation, transport, taxis, money and pocket money. For this assignment the fare has not been run properly because swelling the budget cost of the trip. Therefore, this research will be made an application that implements the method of Sequential Search. Sequential Search methods are used to help find the data mapping rates that are already stored in the database, the data rates will be stored in the array which will then look for data rates in accordance with PT Telkom access employees level. The results of this research resulted in an application as a tool for searching a data rate of travel service, so that the budget can be managed properly.
