Abstract

Robot lengan merupakan salah satu aplikasi robotika yang telah banyak diterapkan di dunia industri. Penelitian ini menerapkan salah satu aplikasi dari robot lengan 4-DOF dengan gripper end effectornya. Robot ini berfungsi sebagai pengklasifikasi objek berdasarkan warna objek secara otomatis. Secara keseluruhan, sistem otomasi ini terdiri dari robot lengan, konveyor statis, dan wadah sesuai warna (merah, biru, hijau, dan hitam). Sistem ini terdiri dari sensor warna RGB satu pixel, mikrokontroller sebagai prosessor, dan 6 buah servo sebagai aktuator. Sensor RGB berfungsi sebagai masukan yang diproses melalui mikrokontroler dan dilakukan perhitungan jumlah objek berdasarkan warna. Untuk penentuan posisi target peletakan objek digunakan metode pemetaan arena. Posisi ini dapat diatur secara manual dan kemudian disimpan di memori mikrokontroler sebagai acuan aksi robot lengan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa robot lengan dapat mendeteksi dan mengklasifikasi objek berwarna merah dengan waktu 10 detik, hijau 8,9 detik, biru 8 detik, dan hitam 9,9 detik.

Abstract

This paper presents about the Cyclic Redundancy Check – 16, a generator polynomial for error detection, which is normally used in MODBUS Remote Terminal Unit. It starts with explaining the noise phenomena that are often  generated into a useful signal when it is transmitted through a  noisy channel. Some types of error which usually affects bits of a transmitted data bytes are introduced. The complete method for designing a good generator polynomial for detecting the error is then presented. Next, Cyclic Redundancy Check -16 as an example of generator polynimial is discussed. The explanation includes method for software implementation of the CRC. Two methods are introduced which are loop – driven method and table - driven method.  Finally, result of designed generator polynomial is shown, which consists of the algorithm and the routine example. Diawali dengan penjelasan tentang fenomena derau yang biasanya menyertai sebuah sinyal utama ketika sinyal tersebut ditransmisikan melalui sebuah kanal berderau. Beberapa tipe error yang biasanya mempengaruhi bit bit dari byte data yang ditransmisikan kemudian dijelaskan. Metode lengkap untuk mendesain sebuah generator polynomial untuk mendeteksi error kemudian dipaparkan. Selanjutnya, Cyclic Redundancy Check – 16 sebagai sebuah contoh generator polynomial dibahas. Pembahasan meliputi metode untuk implemenrasi software dari CRC tersebut. Dua metode diperkenalkan yaitu metode loop – driven dan metode table – driven. Pada bagian akhir, ditunjukkan hasil dari generator polynomial yang dirancang, yang terdiri dari algoritma nya dan salah satu contoh rutin programnya. Abstract

Prof. Soeparwi veterinary hospital is one of the medical institutions focused on providing medical services for animals. In its daily operations, the flow of informations among various departments has yet to be supported by management information systems (MIS) which enables efficiency of business process and a better management of the data. Previous researches have been conducted to develop MIS, which resulted in three independent MIS for managing registration, medical records, and patient bills. Each MIS is using their own database to store the data, thus causing duplicates of information and inconsistencies, and also increasing complexity in accessing the data. The goal of this research is to re-design the said database into a single database that will be used by various MIS. Three independent databases are merged by applying a technique that uses linguistic information as the basis for the matching–called linguistic-based schema matching. This method’s accuracy is evaluated by calculating precision, recall, and F-measure–which we obtained scores of above 50% for all three indicators. Requirement analysis is performed to further develop the database for supporting further needs of the hospital. The new database system is tested using black-box technique under few test cases to see if its functionality corresponds with the specifications defined. Result of this test proves that the new database could handle valid, invalid, and redundant inputs as expected by a score of 100% success rate.

Abstract

Wireless local area networks is used by Sermo’s GNSS-CORS to renew its reference position from Department of Engineering Universitas Gadjah Mada’s CORS.The problem is, that wireless local area network should meet the bandwidth requirement and the operation should not break the frequency usage regulation in Indonesia.This reseach was conducted to study the bandwidth needs of Sermo’s dam deformation monitoring system, to design the topology, and calculating EIRP of all wireless network link in the system that meet the regulations of the Ministry of Communications and Information Republik of Indonesia. Wireless local area networks was built to connect Sermo, Faculty of Engineering Universitas Gadjah Mada and Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Serayu Opak’s office.Design implementation and testing of broadband wireless equipment at unlicence frequency of 2.4 GHz (Motorola PTP 100) and 5.8 GHz (Motorola Motorola PTP and PTMP 5750AP/5760SM 58 300) resulted in 2.22 Mbps bandwidth that is much greater than that required, 128.7 kbps, and the average round trip delay of 19.2 ms. Antenna alignment information can be used as a reference for wireless communications equipment maintenance.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan simulasi modulator Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) menggunakan Simulink. Simulasi ini dilakukan sebagai langkah awal implementasi modem π/4-DQPSK pada FPGA Atlys Spartan-6. Simulasi dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan toolbox yang ada pada Simulink. Hasil simulasi berupa sinyal carrier dan diagram konstelasi telah sesuai dengan teori. Disajikan pula hasil simulasi berupa signal trajectory dan eye diagram. Kata Kunci: Modulasi, π/4-DQPSK, diagram konstelasi, simulink

Abstract

Smart card has been a new trend as practical and secure authentication solution in online transactions such as epayment, net-banking, e-money, and other online services. The increasing of smart card-based applications demands higher supply of smart card readers as well. Many types of smart card readers in the market have been existed. However, their feature and software are mostly closed and can not be modified to satisfy the application developer’s requirements to optimize the performance and security of the applications. Therefore, a selfdesigned smart card reader is needed to offer flexibility and ability to be costumized in order to satisfy application developer’s needs. In this research, a smart card reader is designed based on 32-bit microcontroller STM32F407VG which is implemented on STM32F4 Discovery Kit. The proposed smart card reader is evaluated by accessing information resides on the JCOP31 smart card which has been pre-installed by applet with certain APDU. Evaluation results show that the proposed smart card reader is able to access smart card properly, having good portability on different platform machines and having good performance as indicated by the CWT and CBT which are faster than the recommended ones.

Abstract

UGM Cocoa Teaching and Learning Industry (CTLI) is a factory owned by UGM that focuses on processing cocoa beans, located in Batang Regency, Central Java. Apart from that, CTLI also has a role as a research and innovation institution with the aim of finding new knowledge and technological breakthroughs in the cocoa industry. In processing cocoa beans, CTLI uses high-tech machines so that the data on the machine can be recorded. At its inception, CTLI subscribed to the Mindsphere service from Siemens to collect and manage data so that data could be stored properly in the factory database. But currently, CTLI has stopped the Mindsphere subscription so that production data cannot be saved into the database. In order to overcome this problem, the OPC UA communication protocol was used to obtain data from the factory system and forward the data using Node-RED which was then stored in the factory database. This database is local and stored on the CTLI PC so that accessing it remotely can be done using Anydesk. Data that has been stored in the database can be used to develop and optimize CTLI operations in the future.

Abstract

Praktikum dan hands-on merupakan kegiatan yang dapat membantu meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terkait objek yang dipelajari. Kegiatan ini membutuhkan alat peraga yang dapat diamati dan dipelajari secara langsung oleh mahasiswa. Tetapi pembuatan alat peraga fisik membutuhkan waktu dan biaya tambahan. Solusi yang diajukan adalah dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak simulasi pabrik, yaitu FactoryIO. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji penggunaan FactoryIO sebagai peraga kendali PID pada PLC M221. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menetapkan parameter PID yang didapatkan dari hasil perhitungan menggunakan respon undak sistem tangki air dari FactoryIO. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah FactoryIO memiliki kalkulasi gravitasi yang mengakibatkan adanya tunda waktu dan osilasi pada pembacaan ketinggian air. Hal ini mengakibatkan sistem dan kontroler PID yang sudah dimodelkan tidak bekerja sesuai target yang dituju. Tetapi FactoryIO tetap dapat digunakan sebagai alat peraga PLC baik untuk komunikasi Modbus atau kontrol PID.
