Abstract

The commodity of poultry that has the greatest potential to be developed is broiler chicken, this is because the growth rate is very fast so that the maintenance period is relatively short. Livestock productivity is influenced by 30% genetic factors and 70% environmental factors. One important environmental factor to consider is maintenance management, especially feed. Chicken feather flour is one of the wastes that can be used as chicken feed. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications each test using 4 chickens. The four treatments are P0 = control ration without adding chicken feather flour, P1 = ration containing 2% chicken feather flour, P2 = ration containing 4% chicken feather flour, P3 = ration containing 6% chicken feather flour. The parameters observed were the weight of the carcass parts (chest, thighs, wings and back). The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance, if obtained significantly different data (P <0.05) will be followed by a multiple distance test from Duncan. Addition of chicken feather flour to broiler chicken ration gave no significant difference (P> 0.05) in the weight of carcass parts (chest, thighs, wings and back).

Abstract

Free-range chicken is a type of local poultry that has the potential to produce eggs and meat, so it is widely cultivated by the community. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were R0 = rations without lysine and methionine content (control), R1 = rations with 1% lysine content, R2 = rations with 0.5% methionine content, R3 = rations containing lysine and methionine (1% + 0.5 %). This research was conducted at Jl. Sedap Malam, Kesiman Village, Denpasar City, for 10 weeks from 14 October to 23 December 2019. Chickens used in this study were 3 week old native chickens without male and female separation with an average weight of 190-210 g / head. as many as 60 native chickens. Lysine administration and methionine administration in the ration on the appearance of native chickens aged 3-10 weeks had no significant effect (P> 0.05). The combination of lysine and methionine in the native chicken ration had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on the variables of final body weight and weight gain, while the ration consumption and ration conversion had a significant effect (P <0.05). In R3 treatment, the combination of amino acids lysine and methionine in the native chicken ration was able to show the best results on final body weight, weight gain and conversion of native chicken aged 3-10 weeks.

Abstract

Super free-range chicken which is currently a very lucrative new business opportunity because the demand for free-range chicken has increased significantly due to high consumer demand. The type of agricultural waste that can be used as ration material is sweet potato stove. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of fermented sweet potato stover flour in the ration on the carcass crumbs of super free-range chicken aged 10 weeks, to find out what percentage of the level of use of fermented sweet potato stover flour in the ration that was able to provide the best results on the super-fried free-range chicken carcass. 10 weeks old. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) which consisted of 5 treatments, namely: R0 (without the addition of sweet potato stover flour), R1 (addition of non-fermented sweet potato stover flour 3%), R2 (addition of fermented sweet potato stover flour 3), %), R3 (addition of fermented sweet potato stover flour 6%), R4 (addition of 9% fermented sweet potato stover flour). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The use of sweet potato stover flour in the ration had no significant effect (P>0.05) on carcass weight, thigh weight, chest weight, back weight and wing weight. The use of sweet potato stover flour in the ration tends to be higher at the 3% level of fermented sweet potato stover flour, but it does not give a significant effect.
