DOWNLOAD PDFThe study has been conducted to determine whether there are influences and interactions of type of mulberry Morus multicaulis and  Morus cathayana to cocoon production in the silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) Local varieties, Japan, China and Rumania. Study was arranged in Complete Randomized Design (CRD), with a factorial design of two types of mulberry leaf with four varieties of silkworms with three replications. The treatments combination were 24 treatments. The parameters of this research included cocoon weight, cocoon leather weight, fiber length and fiber weight. The results showed that Morus cathayana have cocoon 1.188 g weight, cocoon skin 0.214 g, 1015.027 m of fiber length and fiber weight 0.218 g in silkworm Romania variety (A2B4), when compared with Morus multicaulis produced cocoon weight as 1.143 g, and cocoon skin 0.197 g, fiber length 944.745 m, and fiber weight 0.199 g in silkworm Romania variety (A1B4). Therefore after data were analyzed with LSD (?=0.05) Morus multicaulis and Morus cathayana to silkworm Local, Japan, China and Romania and the interactions between mulberrys with four varieties of silkworm cocoons have real impact on weight, heavy leather cocoon and fiber length and weight of fiber produced.   Key words:  Morus multicaulis, Morus cathayana, production of silk cocoon, silkworm

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peningkatan aktivitas serta hasil belajar siswa kelas VII A Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 1 Belimbing Hulu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 melalui penerapan metode diskusi kelompok berbantuan media kit dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan materi himpunan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif menggunakan penelitian Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A yang berjumlah 20 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik langsung dengan alat pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan lembar tes. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Pada siklus I rata-rata keaktivan dan hasil belajar siswa  masing-masing 60,18% dan 60,05. Pada siklus II rata-rata keaktivan siswa dan hasil belajar siswa masing-masing meningkat menjadi 80,50% dan 63,00. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok berbantuan media kit dalam materi himpunan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.   Kata Kunci:  Metode Diskusi Kelompok, Media Kit   Abstract: This study aims to assess the increase in activity and learning outcomes of students of class VII A Junior High School (SMP) Hulu Belimbing Negeri 1 school year 2011/2012 through the implementation of media-assisted group discussion method kit in learning mathematics with the material set. The method used is descriptive method using research Action Research (PTK). The subjects were students of class VII A of 20 people. Data collection techniques in this study is the technique of direct data collection tool uses observation sheets and test sheet. The study was conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle the average keaktivan and student learning outcomes respectively 60.18% and 60.05. In the second cycle the average keaktivan students and student learning outcomes respectively increased to 80.50% and 63.00. From the results of this study concluded that learning using group discussions aided media kit in the material set can increase the activity and student learning outcomes. Abstract

This study aims to uncover the Islamic educational values embedded in zakat based on the messages of the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as its relevance to shaping individual and societal character. Zakat, as one of the pillars of Islam, encompasses dimensions beyond ritual worship. The main values explored include social justice, solidarity, responsibility, and spiritual purification. Social justice in zakat embodies equitable wealth distribution to reduce social disparities. Solidarity fosters empathy and care for others, strengthening social cohesion. Responsibility and trust educate individuals to act with integrity in fulfilling moral and social obligations. Spiritual purification instills sincerity, curbs materialism, and aligns individuals with higher spiritual values. This study concludes that the Islamic educational values in zakat are relevant to shaping individuals with strong moral and spiritual character while fostering a harmonious and just society. These findings highlight the urgency of zakat as a character education instrument in addressing global challenges such as social inequality and individualism and reinforcing zakat's role as a pillar of rahmatan lil 'alamin.
