Abstract

ABSTRACT WHO estimates the number of children with febrile seizure in the world is more than 21.65 million and 216,000 more children have died. There are 17 million cases of fever worldwide and 500-600 thousand die each year. In Indonesia, the number of people with fever is estimated to reach 600,000-1.5 million cases every year and 80-90% occur in children aged 2-18 years. Onion compresses can be used to reduce child’s body temperature which is easily accessible to the public, both in terms of price an availability. Describe the application of onion compresses to reduce body temperature in children with febrile seizure at Nur Hidayah Hospital Bantul. The method used is descriptive with a case study approach.The subjects used were children who had febrile seizure. Before compressing the onion, body temperature the first subject was 38.50C and second subject was 37.70C. After treatment, body temperature the first subject became 380C and the second subject became 37.30C. Onion compresses have been shown to reduce body temperature in children with febrile seizure. Keywords : Onion Compress, Febrile Seizure, Body Temperature ABSTRAK WHO memperkirakan jumlah anak yang mengalami kejang demam di dunia lebih dari 21,65 juta dan 216 ribu lebih anak meninggal dunia. Terdapat 17 juta jumlah kasus demam di seluruh dunia dan 500 – 600 ribu mengalami kematian tiap tahunnya. Di Indonesia jumlah penderita demam diperkirakan mencapai 600.000-1,5 juta kasus setiap tahun dan 80-90% terjadi pada anak berusia 2-18 tahun. Kompres bawang merah dapat digunakan sebagai upaya dalam menurunkan suhu tubuh anak yang mudah dijangkau masyarakat, baik harga maupun ketersediaannya. Menggambarkan penerapan kompres bawang merah untuk menurunkan suhu pada anak dengan kejang demam di RS Nur Hidayah Bantul. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak yang mengalami kejang demam. Sebelum dilakukan kompres bawang merah suhu tubuh subjek 1 yaitu 38,50C dan subjek 2 yaitu 37,70C. Setelah dilakukan kompres bawang merah suhu tubuh subjek 1 menjadi 380C dan subjek 2 menjadi 37,30C. Kompres bawang merah dapat membantu menurunkan suhu tubuh pada anak yang mengalami kejang demam. Kata Kunci: Kompres Bawang Merah, Kejang Demam, Hipertermi

Abstract

Introduction: Gout arthritis is a metabolic bone disorder caused by the abnormal metabolism of purines characterized by increased levels of uric acid in the blood, causing pain in the local supply. One of the therapies that can be used to reduce the scale of pain in Gout arthritis patients is warm water compresses. Objective: Analyze the effect of warm water compresses on the scale of pain in Gout arthritis patients. Method: Descriptive design with a case study approach. Results showed a difference in the pain scale before and after warm water administration compresses in Gout Arthritis patients. Conclusion: Warm water compresses are effective for lowering the scale of pain in patients with Gout arthritis because they can reduce muscle spasms, stimulate pain, cause vasodilation, and increase blood flow. Blood vessels will dilate so that it improves blood circulation in these tissues

Abstract

The Relationship Between Emotional and Behavioral Disorders and Adolescent Life Satisfaction in Segoroyoso, Pleret, Bantul, YogyakartaBackground : Emotional and behavioral disorders become a serious problem in adolescent development. This can reduce productivity and adolescent life satisfaction. Life satisfaction influences adolescent life. The life satisfaction of adolescents serves to overcome negative environmental impacts. The low life satisfaction of adolescents has resulted in various problems. If adolescents have high life satisfaction, adolescents can prevent and reduce risk behaviors that arise so as to facilitate adolescent development to be more optimal. Objective : To analize the relation between emotional and behavioral disorders with adolescent life satisfaction adolescent of Segoroyoso, Pleret, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Methods : This research method is a non-experimental research with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples in the study were 36 respondents, sampling with total sampling technique. Statistics analysis using Spearman's test. Results : The results of this study showed that emotional and behavioral disorders of adolescents are almost in the normal category (47.2%) and 91.7% of adolescent life satisfaction in the high category. The p value obtained is 0.106. Conclusion : There is no significant correlation between emotional and behavioral disorders with adolescent life satisfaction.
