Abstract

The objective of this study was to identify the results of the learning management system (LMS) functionality, and its relationship in the perception of electronic engineering students. The results serve as a basis for continuous improvement for the higher institution, because these systems are tools that have the purpose of improving the performance and retention of the student in the virtual teaching-learning process. Initially, the reliability of the data collected was determined using Cronbach's Alpha, obtaining a consistency coefficient of 0.868. After processing the data in the SPSS software, using the 5-level Likert scale, it was determined that the indicators that present a better perception are related to the design and ease of navigation. However, 21.4% do not fully agree with the functionality, due to the technical problems presented when downloading the study material. The effect generated by the optimal functionality of the LMS is 70.87% satisfaction in students. The Chi square test validated the cause-effect relationship, with a significance of 0.000, between the functionality of the LMS, on the perception of the students. It determined that the indicators with a greater relationship refer to design, availability (connectivity) and ease of communication and interaction with the teacher and their peers.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to identify the results of the evaluation of collaborative learning through technological tools as part of the pedagogical strategies in the virtual teaching process. For the evaluation, the SERVQUAL model was used, through which it was identified that 97.73% satisfactorily evaluate the reliability and security of pedagogical strategies through technological tools used in collaborative learning in the teaching process in virtual environments. The optimal evaluation regarding the reliability of collaborative learning is 100% related to compliance with the syllable, to the teacher's disposition to help them in the use of technological tools and to the conformity of the technological tools used in the subject. Regarding the security of collaborative learning, 100% of the satisfactory evaluation is related to the trust and kindness that the teacher transmitted with the use of technological tools in teaching in virtual environments.

Abstract

The article describes a control logic used to automate the mixing stage of the instant mashed potato process, in order to improve the quality of the final product. Thus, initially the characteristics of the automated process are detailed, specifying the programming logic on the programmable logic controller, to later demonstrate through a data collection process the percentage of improvement in the quality of the final product from the perspective of the users. Indicators: percentage of humidity in the mixing stage, water absorption index (IAA), water solubility index (ISA) and hydrogen potential (pH). The development of the research concludes that the automation of the process, achieved that the IAA index and the ISA index, obtained in the spraying stage, improve by 8.13% and 23.05%, respectively, finding analyzed values within the optimal ranges. This in turn reflected a 39.61% improvement with respect to the humidity percentage, measured in the mixing stage, thus improving the quality of the final product, which brings with it a significant increase of 84.44% in production levels.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to determine to what extent the automation of the stone materials dosing process, controlled by sequential drive of frequency variators, contributes to improving the productivity of a company dedicated to the production of asphalt in Peru for which, initially, the characteristics of the procedure that will lead to achieving the automation will be described. The results will then be displayed with respect to the indicators used to compare productivity before and after automation. The automation will be done by means of the logo 230RE controller, which will be connected to three frequency inverters, the programming development will be through the logo soft comford V8 software, for the sequential actuation, timers with connection delay will be used. Applying the automation, it is possible to improve the annual efficiency by an average of 58.30%, this is reflected in the monthly decrease in production time by 13.92%, in turn increasing the amount of stone material produced by an average of 43.77%. Likewise, it is possible to significantly reduce the production loss capacity by an annual average of 93.99%.

Abstract

The use of virtual platforms has been increasing exponentially during the context of distance education, however, there are still limitations to innovate in pedagogical proposals. This can hinder the assurance of student learning, either due to the little planning that occurred in its incorporation, the little knowledge of teachers and students in the educational use or the lack of use of the functionalities that they have incorporated for communication. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the operability of the virtual platform in the teaching-learning process through analysis based on the usability factor, the results will allow us to continue improving the tools linked to distance higher education. At the development of the investigation, a reliability value of 0.985 was obtained by means of Cronbach's Alpha. It was found as findings that 73.8% perceive an improvement in communication and in the exchange of information. Regarding the usability factor, 73.9% fully agree with the information available on the virtual platform and its accessibility. From what was determined, it is concluded that 65.98% of students consider that the functionality of the virtual platform with respect to the usability factor positively influences the teaching-learning process.
