Abstract

ABSTRACT Community Structure of Parasitoid Associated with Liriomyza sativae (Blanchard) (Diptera: Agromyzidae) on Several Host Plants in Lowlands The research purposed to find out the community structure of parasitoid that associating with Liriomyza sativae on several host plants conducted in the lowland area from October 2012 to January 2013. Leaf sampling was carried out at the center of vegetable and some horticultural crops in the lowland purposively. The number of leaf sample were taken about 20-30 infected-leaf of larvae of Liriomyza. Observation and identification of parasitoids were conducted in Laboratory of Integrated Plant Pest and Disease, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Udayana. The results showed that there are seven species of parasitoids associated with L. sativae in the lowlands. Parasitoid diversity was highest in long beans and cucumber.  Among the seven parasitoid, Opius sp., N. formosa and H. varicornis is more dominant  parasitoid and have a higher abundance than other parasitoids. Opius sp. have adapted to L. sativae associated with various types of host plants in the lowlands. Opius sp. also has the highest rate of parasitization on L. sativae on caisin (33.33%), followed by N. formosa on tomato (16, 09%) and H. varicornis on caisin (27, 27%). Keywords: The community  structure of parasitoid, Liriomyza sativae, and Host Plant.

Abstract

The Diversity and Abundance of Egg Parasitoid Population Rice Stem Borer in Tabanan Regency Rice is the staple food for most of the population of Indonesia. Tabanan Regency is a center production of rice in Bali Province. Judging from rice production in 2009 Tabanan Regency can produce 242 thousand tons of grain per year, but to improve production of rice in the field has many obstacles, one of them is rice stem borer pest. Rice stem borer can attack plants in the vegetative phase and the generative phase. It is necessary for the proper control measures, through the concept of integrated pest management that emphasizes biological control efforts that use natural enemies. Biological control by using egg parasitoid rated excellent because do not cause resistance and resurgence, organisms that are used to find the host, can multiply and spread, and control can be run by itself. Egg parasitoid of rice stem borer is an important factor that can regulate the population of rice stem borer pest abundance in the field. There were three types of rice stem borer egg parasitoids in Tabanan Regency are Trichogramma japonicum Ashm, Telenomus rowani Gahan, and Tetratichus schoenobii Ferr. Parasitoid of T. japonicum is dominant parasitoids and parasitization rate of this highest than the other parasitoids at each altitude. The diversity of rice stem borer egg parasitoid relatively low at <1.5. The highest population abundance indicated by T. japonicum ( 33.8 % ) at height <250 ( 0-250 ) masl ( meters above sea level ) and the lowest was in the height of T. rowani >500( 500-750 ) masl.

Abstract

Population Abundance and Level of Leaf Flea Attack (Mysuz perscae SULZER) (Homoptera: Aphididae) on Red Chili (Capsicum annuum L.) Red Chili is one of the mainstay commodities in Bali Province which become the source of income of farmers and foreign exchange of state in agriculture sector of this plant lot cultivated in indonesian both in lowland and in plateau, one of goal in cultivation business is pest aphid (Myzus persicae Sulzer). This research was conducted to find out the invasion pattern, population abundance, percentage of attack and population relation with production. The study was conducted from December 2016 to February 2017, the study was conducted in the Sedang Village( 120 m dpl), Kerta Village (573 m dpl), Sukawati Village (90 m dpl) and Keramas Village (81 m dpl) of the Bali Provinces. The results showed that for aphid invasion had started while colonization had started at week 3 after planting. The lowest population abundance of M. persicae is found in Keramas village and the highest is found in Sukawati. As for the lowest percentage of attacks occurred in the village of Keramas and highest in Sukawati Village. So production has a negative relationship with the population of M. persicae with M.persicae populations, the higher the M. persicae population the lower the chili production.

Abstract

Invasion and Attack level of Beet Armyworm (Spodoptera exigua Hubner) on Two Cultivars of Onion in Songan Village, Kintamani, Regency of Bangli This study was aims to determine the invasion and attack level of beet armyworm (S. exigua) on two cultivars of onion. The study was conducted 940 m above sea level at Songan Village, Kintamani, Regency of Bangli from December 2016 to February 2017. This study implemented surveying method by taking 10 samples plant per plot with 5 replications. Sampling was conducted by using U-sistematics patern. The results showed that the invasion occurred during the onion crop was 7 days after planting (dap) and experienced a peak in old plants 17 dap. There was difference larvae of S. exigua population on both varieties of onion crop from the initial observation until the end of the observation. The highest larval populations present in Batu Ijo variety in the amount of 2.4 larvae per clump while variety of Bima Brebes was 1.3 larvae per clump. The attacking level of Bima Brebes variety was 4,86% lower compared on Batu Ijo which is 9,95%. Both onion varieties show difference in productions where Batu Ijo variety has 112,2 grams per clump while Bima Brebes 125,8 grams per clump.

Abstract

Population and Attack of Soybean pods Etiella zinckenella (Treitschke) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) treated Insecticide with Activity Klorpirifos 500 g/l and Sipermetrin 50 g/l The study was conducted to find out the Population and Attack of Soybean pods, Etiella zinckenella (Treitschke) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) treated Insecticide with Activity Klorpirifos 500 g/l and Sipermetrin 50 g/l. This research was conducted in Gunaksa Village, Dawan District, Klungkung Regency, from December 2016 until February 2017. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of insecticide active ingredient (Klorpirifos 500 g/l and Sipermetrin 50 g/l) to soybean pest the populations of and the rate of E. zinckenella pests on soybean crops. This study used a randomized block design (RBD), with five treatment levels (concentration) and five replications. The results showed that insecticide with chlorpyrifine 500 g/l and sipermetrin 50 g/l at concentration 1.50 ml/l were able to suppress E. zinckenella and increase production.

Abstract

Influence of Insecticide With an Active Ingredient Abamektin 18 g/l against Community Structure of Planthopper and Leafhopper Predator on Rice (Oryza sativa L.) (Graminae) This research was conducted in Buwit Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, from September until November 2017. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of insecticide with active ingredient Abamektin 18 g /l to diversity, abundance, dominance and functional relationship of predator to Planthoppers and Leafhoppers on ricefield. The study used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 treatments (2,00 cc/l; 1,50 cc/l; 1,00 cc/l; 0,50 cc/l; 0 cc/l) with 5 replications. The result of this research showed that insecticide with active ingredient Abamektin 18 g /l have significant effect to diversity and abundance of predator popolation with low predator diversity index. Abundance of predator populations showed significant differences between control and treatment on all nine types of predators founded. Insecticides with active ingredient Abamektin 18 g/l have a significant effect on predator domination. From the nine types of predators founded, in general Paederus fuscipes most dominance. Lycosa pseudoannulata is the most effective predator in controlling planthopper pests that have a strong functional relationships with plant hopper pests.
