Abstract

Massive development in almost all cities including Pontianak City has resulted in limited land. However, the demand for housing is increasing due to population growth. The residential trend is now moving into a vertical building. One of them is an apartment. Tokazhanov et al. (2020) explained that during the pandemic, 90% of cases infected with COVID-19 were in places with dense human concentrations. In Pontianak City, the Government established the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases, which requires people to completely change their activities at home. This makes it necessary to adapt housing to improve the quality of life of residents during the pandemic. The type of apartment designed is a low rise apartment that focuses on comfort and living experience. The design location is in Pontianak City, where economic growth is increasing, thus providing opportunities for people to buy better and more efficient housing. Low rise apartments can also accommodate businessmen who visit Pontianak City. The purpose of the design is to create a low rise apartment that can respond to the needs for security, health, and social interaction of residents during a pandemic. The design method uses the J. Christopher Jones method. The result of the design is a residential design in the form of a low rise apartment that can respond to changes in lifestyle and needs during the pandemic.

Abstract

Marriage is a precious moment for every couple, where they formalize their bond legally according to law, norms, and religion. At a wedding, the venue for the event is one that must be prepared so that the event can run smoothly. Weddings in the city are often held in hotels or multi-purpose halls. This is due to the limited land area of the house so that it is less accommodating to accommodate guests and vehicle parking spaces in addition to showing self-existence or prestige. In addition to the venue for the wedding, the selection of makeup, clothing, wedding decorations, documentation, entertainment, food and drinks for invited guests is something that needs to be prepared. Of the many preparations needed to provide business opportunities in the field of wedding services and supplies. For this reason, the design of the Pontianak Wedding Center is expected to meet the needs of the community and service providers in wedding equipment. The Pontianak Wedding Center design method consists of several stages, namely the idea stage, the data collection stage, the analysis stage, then the synthesis and finally the design. In designing the Pontianak Wedding Center using a contemporary architectural approach. From the design of the Pontianak Wedding Center, it produces a place for weddings and marriage ceremonies, meeting places, management offices, thematic shopping facilities and other supporting facilities. The design of the Pontianak Wedding Center will be a new idea where the wedding building has a thematic shopping center in it.

Abstract

Mastery of foreign languages is an important skill to compete in the international world in the future. The Language Unit of Universitas Tanjungpura also supports the mastery of foreign languages and has a vision and mission to become a center for international language education and services in West Kalimantan. With the development of Universitas Tanjungpura, Universitas Tanjungpura currently has BLU status, so educational facilities need to provide commercial areas to fulfill this BLU status. Therefore, an Universitas Tanjungpura Language Training Center is needed that can support foreign language learning and there is a commercial area. The design location is located on Daya National Street, Sea Bansir, Southeast Pontianak Subdistrict, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan, with an area of ±11,000 m2. The design uses a comparison method between the results of site observations, existing buildings, literature studies, with training center standards, as well as analyzing internal and external aspects of the site. The basic idea of interior and exterior spatial planning is to support foreign language learning and attract visitors to have activities at the Universitas Tanjungpura Language Training Center. This is realized by designing an educational space that meets the criteria for a training room, a commercial space that has a selling value, and a public zone that is free to be visited by the public. The appeal of the idea of a design building is a triangle which is the hallmark of the Universitas Tanjungpura building form. The building is covered with secondary skin with a typical pattern of the Universitas Tanjungpura.

Abstract

The city of Mempawah, also known as the earth of galaherang, has lots of tourist destinations.  This is because the it has regional characteristics in the form of land and coastal islands with seas. There is a potential beach tourism destination in there which has mangrove ecosystem in it, namely Tanjung Burung Beach.  However, the current condition of it is still not optimal due to a lack of supporting facilities as an ecotourism area, which causes activities in it to become monotonous and less attractive. In an effort to maximize the potential of areas that have characteristics in the form of sandy and muddy soils, outbound tourism areas can be designed with attractive activities and can be carried out in all types of environmental conditions.  The design of the Mempawah City Tanjung Bird Beach aims to create a playground for visitors that is formed based on the potential and problems of each by adjusting the playings that can be applied to take advantage of the surrounding natural conditions.  The design of this outbound tourism area focuses on the Tanjung Burung Beach area using the glass box design method which is carried out sequentially to produce an attractive outbound tourism design concept by applying ecotourism principles to outbound play spaces to minimize damage and preserve the surrounding environment to make it a sustainable tourist area.

Abstract

North Kayong Regency is in the fishing area in WPP 711 which is the cumulative management area of the Karimata Strait, Natuna Sea and South China Sea areas, which allows this district to have large production potential in the fisheries sector. The potential of the fisheries sector in the large North Kayong Regency has not been fully utilized optimally due to the low availability of facilities and infrastructure for handling catches. As the capital of a district that has high potential for fish production, Sukadana does not yet have adequate catch handling facilities, so it is necessary to have facilities for fishermen and consumers, especially for the people of North Kayong Regency. The design of the Sukadana Clean Fish Market, Kayong Utara Regency aims to facilitate both in the food and economic sectors for the people of North Kayong Regency. The method used is the glass box method, which goes through several stages starting from collecting data related to fish market issues, identifying problems in the fish market, then obtaining theories related to clean fish markets as fish market standards based on relevant regulations, formulating design concepts, conducting analysis , then make pre-design drawings and technical drawings (DED). Through the design concept of a hygienic fish market in Sukadana District, Kayong Utara Regency, a fish market combines traditional market systems and modern markets which is presented in an open stall and a closed stall. The fish market with this concept was created by considering the needs and habits of the surrounding community which functions as a forum or place for buying and selling transactions as well as a place for processing fish and seafood.

Abstract

The busyness that tends to be the same and the problems faced every day make people bored. You can relieve boredom by taking a vacation to natural attractions. Nature that has a varied topography such as hilly areas, beaches, valleys, and others gives rise to beautiful areas. One area that has topographic diversity is in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. One of the activities that can enjoy nature directly is camping / camping activities. Not everyone can do camping activities because the terrain is difficult to reach. Therefore, glamping (glamour camping) emerged which is a luxurious and practical camping activity as a solution. Glamping can be combined with resorts which are tourist attractions equipped with lodging facilities and produce glamping resorts that offer visitors the convenience of staying in the open. The method used is the J.C Jones method with direct data collection and based on literature studies. The aim of the design is to design a tourist area without destroying nature, to adapt to existing site conditions, and to be easy to pass. The result of the design is a tourist area that can be reached easily consisting of several masses of buildings that are placed in certain areas as facilities of the area such as glamping inns which are placed in the back area of the area and outbound which are placed scattered following the shape of the area's contours.
