Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to manage the practice of group counseling in students through a Lesson Study with performance assessment. The subjects of this study were 42 students in the Guidance and Counseling department. This research was conducted with lesson study in three cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings of practical activities in schools in the stages of the plan, do and see. Lesson study activities were carried out in three secondary schools in Singaraja, Bali, involving school counselors as observers and supervisors. The data in this study in the form of student learning outcomes of group counseling practice were obtained through performance assessment with a guided observation method using the rubric of assessing skills in managing group counseling. The data in this study were analyzed descriptively quantitatively, then compared with the criteria for the success of the action using a reference on a scale of five. The results showed that the application of the lesson study method with performance assessments in group counseling practices has increased the ability of prospective counselor students in group counseling practices. The results of this study recommend the implementation of a lesson study with performance assessment as a model for improving the ability to manage group counseling for prospective counselor students.

Abstract

Anak cerdas dan berbakat memiliki potensi yang memerlukan pengembangan dan pelatihan dengan salah satunya pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal. Keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal bagi anak cerdas dan berbakat berguna dalam membina hubungan pertemanan dan terampil dalam komunikasi supaya terhindar dari konflik yang cenderung menghambat kemampuan sosial. Program pelatihan diperlukan untuk mendukung keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal anak cerdas dan berbakat untuk mengembangkan bakat verbal yang dimiliki. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui permasalahan yang dialami anak cerdas dan berbakat, tahapan proses pelaksanaan pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal, serta hasil pelaksanaan pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal untuk pengembangan bakat verbal anak cerdas dan berbakat. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh anak cerdas dan berbakat terdiri dari permasalahan diri, permasalahan akademik, dan permasalahan sosial. Tahapan proses pelaksanaan pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal bagi anak cerdas dan berbakat terdiri dari lima tahapan komponen pelatihan yaitu tahap komponen keterbukaan, tahap komponen empati, tahap komponen sikap mendukung, tahap komponen sikap positif, dan tahap komponen kesetaraan. Hasil pelaksanaan pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal untuk pengembangan bakat verbal anak cerdas dan berbakat terdiri dari tiga tema yaitu pandangan terhadap alasan pentingnya memerlukan lima komponen dalam keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal, makna mempelajari lima komponen dalam keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal, dan perilaku menunjukkan lima komponen dalam keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal.

Abstract

The principle of openness is the basis for success in the counseling process. Individual counseling process in order to help students solve their problems. The implementation of individual counseling services provided has a responsibility that is adjusted to the counselor's duties with the services provided. In addition to being a place for learning and providing good learning services, it also provides guidance and counseling services that are formed in the procurement of several school programs. Thus, the implementation of Guidance and Counseling services for high school students also has a distinctive characteristic, namely counselors who provide counseling services by applying the principle of openness, especially in the implementation of individual counseling. This article study aims to find out how the role of counselors in using the principle of openness to counselees and to find out how counseling influences high school students. sourced from reputable articles and books, with 2 strong sources relevant to research conducted with the keywords "Principle of Openness" and "Individual Counseling". The results show that the implementation of individual counseling services in high schools applies the principle of openness as an effective strategy in exploring information about student problems. The results obtained, students or counselees feel more confident and comfortable during consultations to solve problems as well as possible with the guidance of a counselor

Abstract

This peer group guidance program aims to increase awareness on drugs abuse and juvenile delinquency among adolescence. A group of 106 youth that members of Sekeha Truna-truni Tangkas Kori Agung, Anturan, Buleleng-Bali involved as participants of this program.  This program consisted three stages namely (1) initial assessment, (2) peer guidance and mentoring webinar, and (3) final evaluation. The program evaluation carried out by measuring (1) participants activity during program, and (2) participants understanding, awareness, and commitment on drugs abuse and juvenile delinquency preventions. Results of the evaluation which were analyzed descriptively found that there was an increase in participants' understanding, awareness, and commitment not to be involved in drug abuse and juvenile delinquency such as free sex. Participants also showed enthusiasm and active involvement during the program.

Abstract

This study was Aimed to describe how the values of the family resilience of children with hearing loss in the Bengkala, Bali. The study of participants included the parents of children with hearing loss, and community in Bengkala, Bali, Indonesia. In this study, values are understood as a crucial concept to explain the underlying motivations of resilience attitudes and behaviors demonstrated by the members of the family of children with hearing impairment. The data analysis technique using coding that is open coding, axial coding and selective coding, There are three themes related to the values that underlie the family resilience of parents of the childrent with hearing impairment in Bengkala, the which include: (1) the value of tradition and religious; respect, commitment and acceptance of traditional cultural customs and ideas or religion given, (2) The value of the policy; the which is the value of keeping and giving happiness, prosperity with the people who Often interaction in their group and (3) the value of universalism; that is the value of understanding, appreciation, tolerance, and protection for the welfare of all people and the environment.
