Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of sintering temperature on the synthesis of SiC produced from rice husk ash (RHA) and 2B graphite pencils. The SiC was synthesized by using solid state reaction method sintered at temperatures of 750°C, 1000°C and 1200°C for 26 hours, 11.5 hours and 11.5 hours, respectively. The quantity and crystallinity level of SiC phase were measured by means of Rigaku MiniFlexII X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The microstructure of SiC was examined by using Tescan Vega3SB Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The XRD results showed that the concentration (wt%) of SiC phase increases with the increasing of sintering temperature. SEM results showed that the crystallinity level of SiC crystal is improving as the sintering temperature increases

Abstract

Slice Thickness is the thickness of the image slices on the CT Scan results and is one of the parameters that affect the CT Scan image. This study aims to analyze the image quality of the use of Slice Thickness variations in the CT scan of the head by paying attention to 3 aspects assessed, namely Spatial Resolution, Contrast Resolution, and Noise. This research was conducted by reconstructing the CT scan of the head into 3 types of images, namely Slice Thickness 3 mm, 5 mm, and 7 mm. The results of this study are CT scan images with a slice thickness of 3 mm have an average Spatial Resolution (3.71), Contrast Resolution (3.42), and Noise (3.85) Slice Thickness 5 mm has an average Spatial Resolution (2.71), Contrast Resolution (2.57), and Noise (3.28) and Slice Thickness 7 mm has an average Spatial Resolution (1.57), Contrast Resolution (1.71), and Noise (2 ,14). The best image quality is obtained by using a slice thickness of 3 cm.

Abstract

The use of gadgets not only has a positive impact but also has a negative impact. Community service activities are carried out in Biboro Hamlet, Kec. Biring Bulu with counseling about the dangers of radiation to children. This counseling is held with the aim of providing knowledge to the community and determining the actions to be taken regarding themselves, namely preventing the effects of radiation on children. The implementation of counseling activities was carried out in 2 stages, namely the first stage of health counseling and the second stage followed by health checks for the residents of Dusun Biboro, Kec. Feather Birth. In the first stage, the extension material was delivered using lecture, discussion and question and answer methods. In the second stage, the health examination was carried out by PKN Muhammadiyah Muhammadiyah Makassar Health Polytechnic students. This activity succeeded in conducting outreach to 59 residents of Dusun Biboro, Kec. Feather Birth. The implementation of the activity went smoothly, full of enthusiasm from the counseling participants. The role of parents is very important in setting limits and controlling gadget play time to optimize children's growth and development

Abstract

One of the risk factors that can affect public health problems is public hygiene. People in Manggala District are generally at risk of disease, especially Covid-19 infection. This situation must be prevented to reduce the adverse effects that can occur. This service aims to improve a healthy lifestyle, including the prevention of Covid-19 infection in the Manggala District. A total of 39 people attended this counseling. The counseling method used is by providing education about clean and healthy lifestyles (PHBS) and role-playing. This counseling is one of the recommended programs to encourage the formation of a healthy environment.

Abstract

Fokus kajian pada penelitian ini adalah sintesis fantom dari bahan silicone rubber RTV dengan Aluminium Oksida (Al2O3) dan gliserin, yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan pengujian berupa pengukuran koefisien atenuasi. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan melalui dua tahap. Pada tahap pertama dilakukan penyediaan bahan dasar silicone rubber serta bahan isian Al2O3 dan gliserin. Pada tahap ini, penelitian juga difokuskan pada sintesis fantom. Fantom yang telah dibuat disimpan selama 24 h sebelum dilakukan pengujian. Pada tahap kedua dilakukan pengujian sampel. Pada tahap ini, sampel akan dilakukan pengujian berupa pengukuran koefisien atenuasi. Hasil pengukuran koefisien atenuasi sampel silicone rubber tanpa penambahan Al2O3 dan gliserin diperoleh sebesar 0,226 cm-1, sampel silicone rubber dan Al2O3 diperoleh sebesar 0,222 cm-1, sampel silicone rubber dan gliserin diperoleh sebesar 0,222 cm-1, serta sampel silicone rubber dan Al2O3+ gliserin diperoleh sebesar 0,240 cm-1. Nilai koefisien atenuasi pada sampel silicone rubber dan Al2O3serta sampel silicone rubber dan gliserin adalah 0,222 cm-1mendekati nilai koefisien atenuasi jaringan lunak hati manusia. Koefisien atenuasi fantom dengan sampel  silicone rubber dan Al2O3+ gliserin adalah yang terindikasi cocok untuk menggantikan jaringan lunak ginjal manusia.
