Puri Saren Ubud is one of the heritage tourist areas as well as the residence of the king and his family who hold the government. The tourist area is one of the attractive destinations for tourists to visit. Puri Saren Ubud based on its spatial typology uses the concept of traditional Balinese architecture which consists of three spatial functions, namely macro, micro and meso rooms and has met room standards for operationalizing tourism activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Analysis of respondents perceptions regarding the existence of a new approach in the pattern of travel activities, including space restrictions to carry out social distancing by providing a space separator symbol, reaching a score of 85.67% as an effort to prevent crowds of visitors that can trigger the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Abstract

Border areas became a development priority in the Nawacita era, so many programs were carried out to support the acceleration of development in these areas. Belu and Malaka regencies are one of the border areas in the Indonesia Republic that borders the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste (RDTL). The aim is to see changes in the level of development of rural borders in the Belu and Malaka Regencies. The data used in this research is the Rural Development Index (IDM). The data that has been collected is then carried out with descriptive statistical analysis using a spatial approach. The results of this research explain that the level of development of rural borders in Belu Regency has experienced positive changes. However, rural borders in Malaka Regency have yet to undergo significant changes in the level of village development. It is because of the differences in the two regions' initial years of border development interventions. Belu Regency has priority in border area development compared to Malaka Regency. Belu Regency has a special program and budget from presidential instructions to accelerate border development. The case studies of the two districts suggest that the government should allocate a special budget to support policy implementation.

Abstract

The Regional Regulation of West Kalimantan Province prohibits new land opening in the peat ecosystem area until zoning for the area's protection and cultivation functions has been determined for specific plants. Based on the 2022 satellite image maps overlaid with the boundaries of the Ambawang Village Forest, it is known that 309.7 hectares of land have been cleared, thereby reducing the area's primary function. This research aims to determine when land cover changes occur in the peat ecosystem of the Ambawang Village Forest. The required data are field survey data, satellite imagery maps from 2004, 2009, 2016, and 2022, a map of the West Kalimantan terrain, an indicative map of production forest utilization directions for 2021, and the boundaries of the Ambawang Village Forest map. The analytical method used is a descriptive analysis with a spatial approach. The result indicates that between 2004 and 2016, there was a change in land cover from medium-density secondary swamp/peat forest to non-forest (deforestation) covering an area of 309.7 hectares. Between 2009 and 2016, forest land continued to be cleared to make way for natural/semi-natural open areas, shrublands, and oil palm plantations. From 2016 to 2022, forest clearing ceased, the area of oil palm plantations remained constant, and shrubland increased. It shows there is no violation of the West Kalimantan Province Regional Regulation number 8 of 2021, as the forest land was cleared before this regulation was enacted.
