Abstract

The lack of student learning motivation and teacher difficulties in monitoring student learning progress is considered to be the main problems in distance learning, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research employed action research methods by involving 20 teachers in several elementary schools in Semarang City spread across several sub-districts. The research results obtained: First,  six steps to determine the increase in teacher creativity and understanding, namely the introduction of chatbot and chatbot templates as digital learning media in schools; the implementation of the first training session; the assignment of creating and designing chatbots from templates; the implementation of the second training session and finale chatbot feedback. Second, during digital chatbot training, Acita template was used to see an increase in teacher creativity and understanding of chatbots. The result revealed that, in the aspect of teacher creativity, the point of chatbot design creativity had increased by 41%, creativity in material integration had increased by 46%, and interactive creativity in chatbots had increased by 33%. In addition, in the aspect of teacher understanding, the points of understanding of chatbot structure and understanding of chatbot development had increased by 47%.

Abstract

Online learning indirectly has an impact on children's mental health, whereas, in situations like this, learning activities are carried out face-to-face, which requires children to continue to deal with screens/monitors. This study aims to explore information on parents' views on children's mental health during online learning. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study design. The research participants were 10 parents of students who were in the Cirebon, Indramayu, and Majalengka areas with an age range of 25-42 years. The data collection technique used a survey in the form of an open-ended question. The results of data collection and analysis are presented in several themes. The results showed that parents saw that their children's mental health during the pandemic decreased slightly due to several factors such as unstable internet access, many school assignments, and staring at screens with laptops all day without doing other activities.

Abstract

Era teknologi abad 21 menuntut guru untuk mampu menggunakan dan/atau mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan beragam sesuai kebutuhan siswa sehingga pembelajaran akan lebih efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan para mahasiswa calon guru sekolah dasar yang merupakan mahasiswa program studi pendidikan guru sekolah dasar di beberapa perguruan tinggi di Jawa Barat dalam variasi penggunaan dan pengembangan media pembelajaran seni rupa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah adalah metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus melalui survey dengan google form. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa para mahasiswa calon guru SD memiliki anggapan bahwa penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran seni rupa itu berperan sangat penting, serta harus digunakan dengan baik agar bisa memunculkan pembelajaran yang efektif. Mereka dapat menggunakan satu media ataupun menerapkan variasi dari beberapa media pembelajaran seni rupa. Oleh karena itu, para mahasiswa calon guru SD dinilai memiliki kemampuan yang baik dalam variasi penggunaan media pembelajaran seni rupa. Kata Kunci: variasi, media pembelajaran, calon guru sekolah dasar, seni rupa Variations of the use of art learning media by prospective elementary school teachers Abstract          The technological era in the 21st century requires teachers to be able to use and/or develop innovative and diverse learning media according to the needs of students so that learning will be more effective. This study aims to analyze the ability of prospective elementary school teacher who are students of elementary school teacher education study programs at several universities in West Java, Indonesia in the variation of the use and development of visual arts learning media. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study design through a survey using google form. The results of the study stated that prospective elementary school teacher students had the assumption that the use of media in learning art had a very important role, and and must be used properly in order to bring about effective learning. They can use one medium or apply variations of several art learning media. Therefore, the prospective elementary school teachers are considered to have good abilities in the use of various visual arts learning media. Keywords: variations, learning media, prospective elementary school teacher, visual arts

Abstract

This study aims to dig up information about fun learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study is focused on analyzing the perspectives of high school elementary school students regarding fun learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological design, data collected from a qualitative approach by conducting interviews and distributing questionnaires. The participants in this study were 19 fourth, fifth, and sixth grade elementary school students. The results of data collection were analyzed to form several themes. The results of the study show the importance of the skills and personality of the teacher in teaching because it greatly influences students' understanding and passion for learning. The nature and attitude shown by the teacher to students greatly influences learning, how the teacher conveys the material, chooses learning methods, and chooses learning media can attract students to enjoy learning. The role of parents is also one of the supporting factors for the creation of fun learning during the pandemic. It is very important to collaborate between teachers and parents to achieve learning goals so that they can create fun learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

When learning music about diatonic scales takes place, students are less interested in learning and have difficulty, especially in distinguishing major and minor scales. The goal of this research is to create an android-based diatonic scales application. Furthermore, the purpose of this research is to examine the impact of the produced application on student interest and learning outcomes. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) research method in conjunction with the ADDIE development model with 5 research stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques used in this study were expert validation questionnaires, user response questionnaires for android application learning media, and tests. The results of the material and language expert validation test received a score of 84.21% and the media expert validation received a score of 86.67%. Meanwhile, the practicality test results from the one-on-one trial scored 93.33, the small group trial 86.56%, and the field trial 92.33%. In addition, the effectiveness test showed an increase between before and after the use of android applications in learning. Thus, it can be concluded that this android-based application learning media is effectively used in the learning process so that it can increase student interest and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Book leveling is a combination of books and target readers. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of book grading in elementary schools as an effort to increase students' literacy skills. The research method used was qualitative research with research subjects being students and the principal of SDN Sanghiang. Data collection techniques are interviews and documentation. The research results show that the implementation of book tiering is in accordance with SK NO.030_P_2022. The leveling process for this book is divided into five levels, namely level A (early readers), level B (early readers), level C (senior readers), level D (advanced readers), and level E (advanced readers). The results of the implementation of book leveling show an increase in understanding of the contents of the books read by students so that book leveling is an effective effort in increasing students' literacy skills.
