Abstract

This case study aimed to investigate the use of the social media video application, TikTok, to support ten EFL teachers in Indonesia to develop videos for storytelling with their students. During the emergency remote teaching, these teachers found difficulty in designing learning materials easy to share on various online platforms. In this study, a two-week training program consisting of face-to-face and online sessions was conducted to facilitate the teachers to explore TikTok affordances and tell stories in the form of TikTok’s Duet. The data were collected from TikTok videos produced during the program and the teachers’ pre- and post-training reflective notes. The findings show the teachers’ shifted view of TikTok as non-educational entertainment to an educational platform that could facilitate interactive and interesting storytelling with students. The teachers were aware that while the short duration of the TikTok video was beneficial for easy sharing and engagement with students, it affected the length of the unfolding stages of the story. In creating a TikTok video for storytelling, the teachers found modifying original stories into a one-minute interactive video challenging. More support is thus required to provide teachers with pedagogical, technological, and language content knowledge that allows them to develop teaching resources relevant to their student’s language learning needs and social and economic backgrounds.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Ibu bersalin mempunyai risiko tinggi terinfeksi virus covid-19 sehingga mempunyai risiko  terjadi  penyakit  yang  berat, morbiditas   dan   mortalitas.Tujuan: Untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman Ibu dalam proses persalinan normal selama pandemi covid-19.Metode: Metode scoping review digunakan untuk memetakan literatur, identifikasi masalah dalam area riset, menyusun framework dengan mengidentifikasi pertanyaan penelitian beserta mengidentifikasi studi yang relevan, menyeleksi artikel, melakukan data charting, melakukan penyajian data, pembahasan dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil: Berdasarkan 5 artikel telah dilakukan pengkajian, ditemukan 3 tema diantaranya: Psikologis Ibu bersalin selama pandemi covid 19 yaitu mengalami kecemasan saat persalinan, resiko mengalami depresi pasca partum, ketakutan selama persalinan, kekhawatiran dalam persalinan, kesedihan persalinan selama pandemi covid 19. Factor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan tempat persalinan selama pandemi covid 19, meliputi aman dan mendukung saat persalinan, faktor ekonomi keluarga, kurangnya transportasi sehingga memilih persalinan dirumah, jarak, tingkat pengetahuan, kesulitan bahasa, faktor sosial dan budaya dalam keluarga. Protokol kesehatan selama persalinan, yaitu terdiri dari Penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD), teman atau keluarga dibatasi mendampingi persalinan, menjaga jarak, melakukan PCR sebelum persalinan.Kesimpulan: Pada ibu yang akan melakukan persalinan di masa pandemi covid 19 membutuhkan sosialisasi dapat dilakukan melalui online mengenai persiapan persalinan salama pandemi covid 19 yang meliputi persiapan psikologis, fisik, ekonomi. sehingga dapat memberikan kontribusi yang baik untuk meningkatkan kesehatan ibu bersalin.

Abstract

Postpartum hemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal death worldwide with the incidence of 5%-10% of all deliveries. Bleeding is still a major problem in obstetrics today. Bleeding is the third leading cause of maternal death in both developed and developing countries, namely obstetric hemorrhage (27.03%). Approximately 14 million women worldwide suffer from postpartum hemorrhage each year, causing more than 70,000 maternal deaths. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal age and parity and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in mothers giving birth at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study were 41 mothers giving birth at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital which were selected by the quota technique sampling. The data source used was secondary data, namely medical records. Data analysis of the results the relationship between age and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage shows that the results of the chi square test obtained a p-value = 0.02 or p < 0.05 with the results of OR = 14,625. Thus, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected; which means there is a significant relationship between maternal age and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital. The results of the chi square test obtained a p value = 0.08 or p < 0.05 with the results of OR = 7,464. Therefore, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected; which means there is a significant relationship between maternal parity and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital. So that the results obtained reveals that there is a relationship between age and parity and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. For postpartum mothers, it is expected that they have to consider the age and number of children in planning pregnancy at the right time. In addition, routine pregnancy check-ups with health workers should be carried out by the mother to detect the symptoms, so as to reduce the risk factors for bleeding and as a form of preventive efforts.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a natural process that requires efforts to prepare the mental health of pregnant women, as it impacts their perception of well-being and quality of life. Maintaining mental health is essential at all stages of life. Pregnant women with mental health disorders may experience depression or stress, and in severe cases, this can contribute to maternal and infant mortality. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that approximately 10% of pregnant women worldwide suffer from depression. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between age and education level with mental health among pregnant women at Kasihan I Public Health Center in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Method: This research used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling, resulting in a total of 71 respondents. Data were collected through interviews using the SRQ-20 questionnaire. Results: The results of the Chi-Square statistical test showed no significant relationship between age and education level with mental health among pregnant women, as the P-Values > 0.05, age (0.142) and education level (0.624). Conclusion: There is no relationship between age and education level with the mental health of pregnant women at Kasihan I Public Health Center in Bantul, Yogyakarta
