Abstract

Population growth will affect landuse changes drastically, particularly in watersheds (DAS) and coastal zone. Something similar happened to the Tallo watershed estuaries, Makassar Urban. This study aimed to (1) analyze the sustainable management of Tallo watershed estuaries, (2) driven factors analysis on sustainability of Tallo watershed estuaries, and (3) the alternative of policy development on sustainable management of Tallo watershed estuaries. MDS analysis with Rapest results showed the status of Tallo watershed estuaries were less sustainable (49.20%), consist of;  ecological dimension (46.51%), economic dimension (42.22%), social dimension (43.90%), technology dimension (45.99%), and institutional dimension (46.83%). The driven factors on sustainability management of Tallo watershed estuaries, consists of five (5) attributes i.e; institutional facilities property right population density, resource technology and aquaculture technology. The policy development direction on sustainable management of Tallo watershed estuaries, consist of; alternative I is strengthening institutional management, and the second alternative was using resources in the sustainable ways.

Abstract

Usaha budidaya udang windu yang dilakukan masyarakat di Dusun Tempatue merupakan usaha turun temurun yang berlangsung sejak dulu dengan system tradisional. Udang windu merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan sektor perikanan khususnya perikanan budidaya. Namun saat ini, usaha budidaya udang cukup lesuh dikarenakan berbagai hal termasuk munculnya berbagai penyakit udang seperti white spot. Untuk itu, untuk mengembalikan gairah dan semangat masyarakat untuk kembali membudidayakan udang windu, maka berbagai kajian perlu dilakukan termasuk analisis kelayakan usaha budiddaya udang windu dengan system tradisional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganilisis tingkat kelayakan usaha budidaya udang windu. Penelitian dilakukan di Dusun Tempatue, Kecamatan Mare, Kabupaten Bone. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survey. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan secara purposive sebanyak 30 responden. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis finansial, yakni NPV dan Net B/C. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan; 1) Usaya budidaya udang windu (Penaeus monodon), sangat layak untuk usahakan, 2) Nilai NPV diperoleh 2,92 dimana nilai NPV tersebut lebih besar dari >0 atau dikategorikan sangat layak, 3) Nilai Net B/C diperoleh 14,89 yang berarti nilai tersebut lebih besar > 1,0 atau dikategorikan sangat layak.

Abstract

The users or actors involved in the management of Marine Conservation Areas (MPA) in Ujung Kulon National Park (TNUK) come with various objectives, so it is necessary to always maintain the purpose of establishing a Marine Conservation Area in Ujung Kulon National Park (TNUK) so that it can be sustainable, both from the aspects of economic, social and ecology. The purpose of this study is to analyze the main actors in the management of Marine Conservation Areas in Ujung Kulon national park and formulate a sustainable conservation area management model based on these key actors. The research method is carried out with a survey approach by filling out a questionnaire. The respondents in the study were experts as many as 12 (twelve) people. The data analysis method used in this study is stakeholder analysis with the ISM (Interpretive Structural Modeling) method. The results of the analysis obtained by the main actors / stakeholders in the management of TNUK Marine Conservation Areas are: 1) Ujung Kulon National Park Center, Banten Provincial Bappeda, Communities (Fishermen), and Private Sector (Entrepreneurs). The proposed management model is a collaborative management model (Government-Community-Private).
